Ahhh, I love this stuff! I have dry, sensitive skin, but awful huge pores on my nose that I don't think I'll ever get rid of, no matter how hard I try. Anyhow, this works wonderfully... I apply it on my nose before applying makeup (either MAC Studio Sculpt or Prescriptives Virtual Skin and lightly blend makeup on top of it. Works great, and totally conceals my potholes!

This product is a tough one to review. First day I bought it I tried it out as soon as I got home (my makeup's fairly worn off by evening time). I was pretty excited by the results as I could instantly see how well it was smoothing and mattifying my skin in the areas I'd applied it. However, next morning it didn't work so well! Nor the two mornings after. Essentially the first half of my week I ended up going to work with makeup I thought looked pretty bad due to the problems with applying this along with liquid foundation. I tried before, I tried after. I tried with and without primer. I just cannot get this to work with my regular products. I find either before or after I get the same patchy result, where the combination of foundation and Instant Perfector create patches where it's 'gritty', and shiny bits where it's rubbing off. Just not a good look. I still think this works great by itself, and possibly later in the day when my foundation has already really set in (or rubbed off mostly!), but due to these limitations I can't really recommend it all that much. Perhaps different foundations could work better, but it seems like a lot of trial and error to get it do what it says it should do. I'll still sometimes wear it on small areas I don't wear foundation, but doubt I'd repurchase.

I bought this on a recommendation and I must say that I'm really impressed! I have pores so open and large that when I smear my foundation on my cheek, it has all the dotty pores coming though. Yuck! Plus my skin is an oily nightmare. I didn't think this product could really live up to being all that great but it really is.

After cleansing and moisturising (giving it 5 mins to sink in) I apply this to my face, give it a minute, then follow up with MAC Studio Sculpt foundation. The result is the best base I have ever had. Seriously! Plus (most unbelievable of all) is that I've been wearing my base for 9 hours now and yet no oil has come through at all and it still looks flawless. Wow!

Honestly, I can't rave about this enough. Just try it.

I first used this about 15 years ago and always come back to it. I use it over my nose, cheeks and forehead and it almost covers the pores in those areas. Very good oil control. Decently priced and can buy it anywhere. Oily gals with "pore issues" - definitely give this a try!

I love this stuff. It fills in the pores really well. I use it every day. I use this stuff without makeup and gives me a smooth look. I use this stuff before my mineral makeup and I feel like my face looks flawless. You can put it over your makeup without disturbing it. Love that it's oil free. It has never broke me out. Good Stuff!

Edit: 23.01.2011: I tried this for the 3rd time now that my skin has made a change and I now this i HG!! I love this! This does what it says, it minimzes my large pores and covers up the smallest ones. It gives a matte finish, and the oil control together with my Murad oil-control matifyer spf 15 is great. I use this on bare skin, nothing else. When my skin gets oily I use some paper to blot my face, try to avoid powders. This is longwearing, but after a workday I still have 50% left. If I'm going to the gym after work I put some more on ( or Laura mercier Secret finish-matifying) and I'm ready to go again. I do feel that this stay good on try rain/humidity and sweat.
Old: The idea with this is great and it works. When I put it on it de-shines my t-zone, and it covers the pores perfect. Also works wonders as a primer, foundation goes on super smooth.
Okey what is the problem... I have tried it 3 times and all with the same result. My t-zone goes crazy after one hour. I'm a oily mess. Shines and greasy looking.
It is too silicon-ish for me, it melts off. Same with most liquids, doesn't stay on. Also think it made me break out.
But I do give it a 2. I use it around the eyearea. Helps to cover up fine lines and my concealer goes on suuuper smoooth. The concealer also stays on longer....

I expected to love this based on the reviews, but I actually have mixed feelings about it. It definitely helps minimize pores and has a slight mattifying effect, but I'm not sure it works any better than other primers. I have a few gigantic pores that you could stick the head of a pin into, and this can create the "polka dot" look if this gets into them. I think it might be better clear than colored. Also, I find it doesn't work to apply liquid foundation after this -- it will highlight flakes very badly, and dislodge this from your pores making them even more obvious. You must apply this *after* liquid foundation, in oily or normal areas only. You can apply it before mineral foundation if you don't buff too hard.

UPDATE: I am using this almost every day before my mineral foundation and I do find it makes my skin look smoother and pores less obvious. I smooth it across my fingers first so it's like a streak rather than a drop-- that way not too much gets into my larger pores. As for oil control, it does help but only for a few hours.

I find this does not work at all with liquid foundation for me, applied either before or after. It just highlights flakes and makes each pore look like a polka dot.

I like this product best with no foundation at all - it's nicely mattifying and minimizes pores so if pore size and oiliness are your major issues try this alone.

This product is pretty good. At first, I didnt really notice too much of a difference; but when I didn't use it one day, I could see a big difference. It doesn't make my pores disappear, but definitely minimizes them. It only seems to work for a few hours though, so some people might have to reapply during the day. It's a little on the pricey side consedering how little product you actually get. Overall, its something worth trying if you have large pores.

This stuff is fantastic. It does a great job camflouging my larger-than-life pores. I've tried it alone, under TM, and under Chanel Teint Innocence and it works great under each. Just a little bit helps the pores on my nose and cheeks disappear. I will definitely repurchase & add it to the list of Clinique products I love.
