Is this product AMAZING???!!!...no...BUT, it does the job just fine. Like many others I had never used brow makeup before.I have very dark brown brows and after testing the pencil on my hand I chose black. Black is actually a very dark brown. The color matches fine for me. I realy only use a very small amound. I find that when I do a smoky eye look or any other very dramatic eye makeup this helps me look more put together. When I have hardly any makeup on at all this gives me a more polishes, naturaly pretty look without anyone knowing why. It looks overly dramatic if I use even the tiniest bit too much. Seriously, sometimes two more strokes and, crap I'm somebodys clueless aunt with the heavy hand. But I've learned what the right amount is. The pencil is freakin dirt cheap, easy to sharpen, lots of product (should last me a couple more years) just the right hardness, very blendable, has a little bush on one end(though I use this with the sephora eyebrow brush\lashcomb) and it stays on all day and into the next. Doesn't make me break out or anything.I wouldn't re-buy because lifes to short and I'm gonna want to try new things.
per mua's suggestion(s), i went and bought this product a couple days ago, and wow, i love it! i have VERY light (blonde) eyebrows (and bright red hair), so it's really hard for me to find something that doesn't look too severe, and the hazel color works wonderfully. it doesn't pull/tug on my skin... it just kind of glides on smoothly, and then the little brush it comes with is great for blending, and making the strokes look more natural. this is my absolute favoritest eyebrow do-er - even better than powder (which always ends up looking fake, and powdery (geeh, i guess why?) on me. plus it's hard to get off if you/i mess up.... where as this stuff is pretty good about coming off if need be, yet it stays put all day. this is the first/only rimmel product that i've ever purchased, but because i'm so happy with it, i'm thinking about testing out something else of their's. couldn't hurt, right?
This is a good quality product for hardly any money! The colour stays on pretty much all day and the pen comes with a small brush attached to it. However, I have been using the Dark Brown, and it looks orangey-red on my brows! In the mirror it looks ok, but I have seen picture of me and my eyebrows look red - it just doesn't look good. I will not buy again, not only because of that reason, but also because Rimmel still test on animals. I might give the Estee Lauder automatic eyebrow pencil a try next, it has good reviews on here.
I love this brow pencil! It's like $1.49 and you can buy it at any mass retailer..Wal-Mart, Target! It's a great combo pack cuz it has a brow brush right on the cover! Great staying power for such a small price!
I like this product. Stays put for a very reasonable amount of time (I apply this first, then follow up with Maybelline brush-on brown color). Gives a very realistic and defined look (to set the product I apply a very very lite dusting of face powder on my brows w/ a eyeshadow brush to "set" the look. It's easy to apply (other brow pencil are to "hard" and the lines as a result are very fake looking. The brush that is on the cap of this product is pretty useless though. The bristles are to short and not stiff enough but the product itself is great. For the price I would recommend this product as a good drugstore brow pencil.
Horrible, dark, greasey, prone to smudge, fake looking. I could go on,,,I really didnt like this brown pencil at all.
i normally use estee lauder's automatic brow pencil but it keeps breaking off and didnt last long for the money. i bought rimmels eye brow pencil for 1 .49 in hazel and it blends well w/ my brows. it fills in w/o looking harsh. perfect shade for my brown/dark blonde highlights. i went back to repurchase another one since it was a great sale.
I've never used eyebrow makeup before, but had to when an eyebrow shaping mishap occurred and I couldn't bear to go out with one eyebrow looking funky while the other one was normal. Based on the good reviews I bought this and am so glad I did! At first I was afraid that everyone would notice right away that I had filled in my eyebrows with pencil. Well, nobody said anything, not even my friends who are always quick to tell me if something looks wrong with my appearance. I was surprised at how natural looking this was and am glad that this saved me a few weeks of embarrassment before my eyebrow hair came back completely. Whew!
I have been wearing makeup for 10+ years but for some reason, never bothered with brow makeup. I have thick brows that can be unruly at time. On a whim, I decided that I should try some eyebrow pencils to see if they make a difference and I purchased this one in Black after reading the positive reviews. For reference, my hair is dark brown but the Brown pencil was just too light. I think it works very well: the pencil is not too soft nor too dry, I can define my eyebrows without adding too much color. I love the little brush on the cap: it's been very useful to comb the brows and I've even used it to help me shape them when I pluck/trim them.
In brief, I am not an eyebrow pencil expert but I love this product and I think I'll stick with it instead of investigating other, more expensive, options.
OK, I am a makeup snob, if it doesn't come from Sephora and cost an arm and a leg it can't be any good, can it? I actually picked this up for $3 to tide me over until my Anastasia brow powder came from Sephora. This really isn't bad, the pencil tip is nice and sharp and is firm enough to sharpen. It is also quite easy to blend with the little brush. The colors are too limited to suit everyone, I got dark brown which other reviewers have also remarked has too much red in it.
