I love this. I use it to wash my face sometimes but usually just to take off my makeup
Been using this moisturizer for as long as I can remember, and it really is great for acne-prone/sensitive skin. I've since switched to more natural products, like jojoba oil, which keep my skin moisturized much longer. However, overall I like Cetaphil, and I use it when I travel, since jojoba oil tends to get everywhere!
This was a great moisturizer for my face but with continued use, I kept breaking out. But I thinks it's great as a body moisturizer.
I love this product!! I have to have this with me at all times. Struggling with very sensitive skin that flakes and then going on a benzoyl peroxide regimen, this saves my skin every time. Its a heavy formula and although it first looks oily on your skin, it dries well and oiliness is gone. Did I mention It gets rid of flakiness!! I've tried other moisturizers but they always felt too light for my skin and they felt like they didn't do anything so I always came back to this. I love the smell of this, it not supposed to have a scent but then again it leaves a very light scent to your skin which I love. I'm not sure if its a body lotion but I only use this on my face, I recommend this to anyone that needs a powerful hydrating moisturizer, its perfect and I cant live without it.
This is great for dry skin during the healing and repairing process, but prolonged use of this beyond that clogs my pores. It's just too heavy for every day use. I live in Florida, so my skin might be biased against such a heavy moisturizer. Otherwise, when my skin is flaky in the winter or after a week of BP treatments, this stuff is great.
I will use this moisturiser until the day I die. My dry skin just drinks it right up!!
EDIT: Ohh man! It KILLS me to edit this review, because I honestly wanted this to be my lifelong moisturiser...but it has just lost its magic. It does not absorb into my skin at all! It sits on top of my skin, to the point where after awhile, I can actually peel it off *shudder*. I'm so disappointed, because it worked so well for so long. I think the reason was at first my skin was just THAT dehydrated, that it drank up any kind of moisture I gave it, but now perhaps while it's still dry, it's not as dry as it was before.
On sale at costco for $4 off. I thought hmm its worth a try since dermatologists always recommends the cleanser. Now im thinking omgosh im spending $20+ on moisturizers when i can buy a big jar of this for $7 !!! Totally worth it !! No breakouts or exessive oily skin after using this product, and i have super sensitive skin.
I love this stuff. My skin is super sensitive and dry, which can be a hard combination to find a moisturizer for. Most things are either too perfumed and irritating or not heavy enough. I use this morning and night in the winter, and absolutely nothing I've tried (high-end or drugstore) has ever compared. It makes my skin amazingly soft and doesn't irritate it at all. I love that it sinks into the dry patches and doesn't go overboard on my less dry bits. It leaves your skin balanced and baby soft. It's by far the best moisturizer I have ever used, hands down. It's also amazing for your hands, arms, and legs, which is a wonderful plus. AND it lasts literally forever. I've had the same tub for over a year and I'm only halfway through it. I do wish the packaging was a little cuter, but for the amazing product and value I really can't complain. Try this-- you won't regret it!
I had heard so many good reviews about this product, so when I spotted it at my local store I had to buy it. It said it was for sensitive skin which I do have (I have Oily/Combination/Acne-Prone skin, that is really sensitive as well). I didn't even use it long and began to break out like crazy, even though I was breaking out I still keep using it, not wanting to believe it was the product. Soon I had to come to terms that this was horrible for my skin, I tested it by not using it for just a couple days and in those couple days without Cetaphil my skin looked so much better. On top of all this it made my skin really oily, so I will definitely never buy this product again.
I've been using this for some time now. I used to use it for my eyelids only (because at the time I had a tiny dry patch on both lids,) and this stuff really treated it! After using this for about a month, I started using it on my whole face. I would wash all my makeup off, slap on a generous amount of this all over my face, sleep with it on, then shower in the morning, but I wouldn't wash my face with any cleanser or soaps. My skin would feel soooo soft & supple, I wouldn't even need to use a moisturizer. But b/c this product is so thick, it doesn't sink into the skin that great and it would leave my skin feeling greasy for hours. This is why I only use it at night.
- Really moisturizing
- A loooot of product
- Soft & supple skin
- Very very thick
- Does not sink into skin well (greasy, oily, but the outcome of your skin is worth it)
- Dries out pimples
Overall, this is a GO.
