It's pretty good, I'm now on my third tube of it (first was a regular sized, then the next two were jumbo size, haha). It works pretty good, my acne seems to be clearing up, little by little. It doesn't do much for acne scarring though, which is what i have on my temples, but oh well. The smell is really nice - I love grapefruit! All in all, it's a bit above average acne wash.
Absolutely loved this product the first couple of times I used it. Gently exfoliated, got really foamy which I love. But then it dried out my skin terribly... made it peel and break it in cystic acne all along my jaw line. Would not recommend if you have sensitive skin.
It didn't break me out and actually made my skin look quite nice and smooth. Still I didn't repurchase it.
The smell is a bit weird. Like dishwashing fluid or something.
Also the scrubbing effect didn't impress me. After using it, I still sometimes have dead skin on my face.
What I like about it is that it makes my skin feel clean. Even when I used a longlasting foundation like Colorstay or Pro Longwear, I feel my pores can breathe and aren't all clogged up.
It's an okay product, I might repurchase when I have finished my current face wash. But it defenitely didn't have that wow-effect on me.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with dry or sensitive skin. Also be careful with this if you use a toothpaste containing triclosan (like Colgate Total) -- the corners of your mouth may start to get irritated. This product contains 2% salicylic acid.
I'm nearly to the end of the tube, and I'm pleased with it. It seems to have helped my acne/blackhead situation, and I like the scrubbing effect. I use this scrub at night only (Cetaphil in the mornings), with a washcloth to increase the scrubbiness, and it leaves my skin feeling smooth and ready to receive moisture. I make sure to moisturize right afterward. I'm careful about using it near the corners of my mouth. I have oily skin, not particularly sensitive, with mild/moderate acne depending on the time of the month.
I got it free in the combo pack with the grapefruit body wash. Luckily, I was looking for a facial scrub, after not having had one for years. I used St. Ives Apricot Scrub as a teen and liked it. For a while, I used the ProActiv facial cleanser, which I liked for its scrubbiness, but disliked that it bleached my eyebrows over time.
Other scrubs that are menthol-scented or otherwise "medicated" and tingly-feeling have left me with dry, flaky patches or irritation. This hasn't. I plan to keep using it at night with a moisturizer.
UPDATE: I originally got this in a combo pack with the body wash, but when I went to repurchase, it was like $12.50 on its own. Wasn't THAT good to justify that price for a damn drugstore scrub. I've moved onto other acne treatments now, and wouldn't repurchase this. I prefered the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash (actually the generic), as it did essentially the same thing for a much more reasonable price
I like it a lot better than the normal grapefruit cleanser and if I could I would use it everyday.
I don't know if this clears acne or blackheads since I more seems to pop up as the old ones clear but it exfoliates really well. I massage it on my face for a while, rinse it off and my skin is literally slippery and brighter after coming out of the shower(for a while). After my face is dry and I touch it, it's still smooth to the touch. I only use it every few days.
It smells delicious but it doesn't really foam much, not that something like that matters in a scrub.
I've never been chemically burned or reacted negatively to this or the regular cleanser. There are natural grapefruit extracts/oils in this and the fragrance of it might be too much for sensitive skin. There is also 2% salicylic acid and the beads are ok for me but might be too drying and harsh for those with dry/sensitive skin. I would recommend this for oily skin though.
This makes my skin feel really smooth and refreshed. It also contains 2% Salicylic Acid which is great to keep breakouts at bay. And the smell is great! Works great to wake you up in the morning. If you're looking for a good acne wash, I'd definitely recommend this ;)
Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub it is Oil-Free it clears blackheads and clears blemishes. This scrub really makes your skin smoother and it makes my skin feel and look healthier. After my Final last night I decided to do a little Spa treatment for myself being that I am College student it is hard to pay 50 dollars for a day in the Spa.This product is literally A Spa in a Bottle minus the Massages and not expensive at all
Made my face dry. The only thing I liked was that it made my face feel soft but any scrub can do that. I had to put moisturizer on after. This didn't do anything for my acne. When I started running out of it, I used it every few days. I started getting less acne and my skin got better after I started using it less and less.
I have acne prone skin and I must be very carefull when finding new products for my face. I recently had a huge breakout all over both of my cheeks. I purchased this product for a cheap price and after one week of using it I noticed my acne starting to disapear. It made my skin very dry; I avoided using any kind of moisturizer and just stuck to having dry skin and my acne cleared almost right away. I reccommend this product for those with oily, acne prone skin.
EDIT: Still never breaks me out, thats not the problem. But the scrubbies don't scrub my face! It's like they're barely there. In the shower (I only scrub my face in the shower, but a few times a week) when I start putting the product on my face it turns into this nasty chemical smell. I loved the pink grapefruit scent to begin with. blahhhhhh idk what to do. I'm just not gonna repurchase. Not worth just the smell.
I ADORE the smell of this product, which is mainly the reason I bought it. I purchased it for a little under $6.00 at Target.
I have clear skin so I just liked the smell and the microbeads, I wasn't expecting the acne treatment to do anything for me. I don't think it would do anything for anyone WITH acne either... just a warning.
Smells amazing, my HG scrub was St. Ives apricot scrub for a while but I just got freaked out with all of the "skin scratching" theories i've been hearing about it loll
Would definitely repurchase, love the smell.
