I ended up picking this foundation up after my old foundation, Vincent Longo's Water Canvas, didn't work well with my skin anymore. I chose something from MUFE's line for the simple fact that they have colors that actually match my skin. I've found that so many foundations (even high end ones) look fabulous when they're applied in the store but end up looking far too yellow or far too dark when I go outside in natural light. Not the case with this foundation.
I've been using the HD Foundation for almost a year and a half now and really have no complaints. I use this in conjunction with MUFE's HD Microperfecting Primer (in Mauve) along with Microperfecting Powder. While I don't have flawless skin by any stretch of the imagination, this combination of products somehow make my skin look passable - even good! It blends perfectly into my skin and has yet to oxidize or turn some weird phantom color in a different light.
I also like the fact that this foundation comes in plastic bottle with a pump. I don't like having to dip my fingers into foundation or having to use a q-tip, and I really don't like glass bottles that I will invariably drop.
The only downside is that most of MUFE's line is a bit pricey. The products usually last forever and a day (ha!) and are of good quality, so I can justify the cost. For the time being, this foundation seems to work for me so I'll definitely repurchase.
This foundation really is not all that bad, if you have normal skin. It gives a nice coverage, had a GREAT color selection, and looks beautiful in pictures. The only problem is if you have oily skin. For a couple hours it looks really good, but then it starts to look like an oily mess. I tried the hd powder that it came with and the hd primer, but that did not work either. I used setting sprays and blotted, but that also did not work. I would still end up looking patchy by the time my classes were over. I think this would be better for people who do not have oily skin.
This foundation is best for those with dry skin. I have oily skin and this just slid off my face! It did NOT last. Also, it is NOT full coverage. It appears to be buildable, but since my skin is oily, it didn't matter how buildable it was. Expensive for what you get.

This is a really nice foundation. I do like it alot, but it's not a HG for me. The absolute best thing about this foundation for me is the color match!! The absoulute best color match I've ever had! I was begining to think I would never find a perfect color match, I'm pretty pale, but all others I've tried are either a tad to light or way to dark. MUFE was a PERFECT match for me in #115. It does look really good from a distance, but up close in the mirror I can still see where it gathers a little around my nose, and it doesn't seem to have the best lasting power. To be fair, I've yet to try it with a primer though. This won't be an every day foundation for me, but when the weather isn't to humid this will be nice to wear. It has pretty awesome coverage..med without looking cakey, and slightly buildable. It has a very natural looking finish, not to mat, and not to dewy. I don't know that I will repurchase, as this bottle will last me quite awhile and by the time I use it up I'm sure I will be on to trying something new..but it's not out of the question, it may be worth it just for the color match. I do reccomend it though, while not a HG for me, I think this foundation would be great on a lot of diff people. I would, as always, suggest getting a sample first to see how it suits you. A really nice product, and I'm glad I bought the full size and it's a welcome addition to my collection.

I really love this foundation because I think it has good coverage, but I have issues with keeping it ON. Plus one has to be careful because if you put to much on it looks REALLY cakey. However for cameras or looking at me at a distance it looks pretty good... which is probably the intended way it should be used.
I'll try to review this at a later date with better skin and trying out different primers. It's a bit pricy, though.
If you are like me and tired of having "ghost face" whenever a flash goes off; at weddings, nightclubs, Facebook uploads and even just casual dinners out, then stop looking...THIS IS THE SOLUTION! This foundation maintains its shade even with the harshest flash! I took home 4 samples of different foundations from Sephora and then went across the way to MAC and took 2 of theirs. After trying them all, MUFE HD not only received the most compliments (actually it was the only foundation that I received compliments on lol), it also held up during pictures at a girls night out of cocktails and dancing. And YES, the pics were uploaded to Facebook and I not only looked flawless...I LOOKED RADIANT! I bought Sand #125 and it's the perfect shade for my nuetral skin tone...I have both yellow and pink undertones...thanks to my Polish mom & Italian dad :) continued >>

MUFE HD Foundation is pretty much something I've heard a lot about through the Internet, Magazines and YouTube. Since I live in Wales, and I don't have a Sephora in close proximity, I thought I'd never lay my hands on this fantastic product. However, I have a French boyfriend, so when I was in Marseille, I picked up two bottles of the HD Foundation in the Shade 118.
All I can say is that it is a foundation that blends fantastically well, and for me, comes across as a second skin. The finish is a Matte, I'd say but of course .. it could depend on your choice of appliance .. damp sponge anyone? But I use a Buffing Brush and I use around 1 1/2 pumps, that's enough coverage for me.
It doesn't feel too heavy, and my skin can "breathe", and there are a lot of shades to choose from. The only downsides for this product for me was .. availability and price. I could have bought this online but I wouldn't have known my exact shade, so I only knew my shade when I tested it on myself. Lastly, price, I paid near €70 .. (it may have been more) for two bottles. That is hefty, but the quality spoke for itself so I was happy to pay that.

Best foundation hands down. Goes on even and comes in a wide variety of tones and undertones. You can find any shade you need ( I got the 128 Beige with Beige undertones). It covers any blemishes perfectly. It isn't heavy feeling. I suggest you apply it with your fingertips instead of the brush. It lasts all day without becoming too shiny, we all know a little shine happens eventually.
The packaging is perfect with the pump dispenser.
I like to mix this one with my Yves Saint Laurent foundation to get a good look for my skin tone.
I will be buying this product again.
I really really wanted to like this foundation. No, I wanted to LOVE this foundation. I love Make Up For Ever as a brand, but after a few forays into their products I've realized that so far, their skin products just do NOT work for me. This was the biggest factor in coming to that realization, the next of which being Duo Mat... ugh, that's a review for another day.
Anyway. I found a great match for my skin (115) because I'm quite pale, and I have no complaints about that. The color selection is impressive, in my opinion, and there's a nice selection of cool, warm, and neutral based tones. When I first put this on, I'm usually pretty pleased. My skin is decent, but I have the occasional blemish and larger pores on my nose. I always thought that I didn't need a fuller coverage foundation, however, MUFE HD just sits on my face without doing much evening or covering. I've tried building it where I need more coverage and it just gets gross - heavy, cakey, and splotchy.
But it doesn't look AWFUL, and after concealer and powder my face looks pretty nice. The real problem I had with this was the same I've had with Duo Mat and the HD concealer from MUFE: oil!
This is oil free, so I'm not completely sure where all of this is coming from, but after about two or three hours my t-zone is a hot greasy mess. I don't think I have particularly oily skin, I would say it's combination, and other foundations have definitely NOT left me feeling like a shiny train wreck. I was so shocked, I went ahead and bought a number of products, thinking that my skin must have started to change. I got Urban Decay's DeSlick spray, the MUFE HD primer, and the MUFE HD finishing powder, all in the hopes that I could get perfect skin.
Annnnnd it all failed. I've tried applying with my fingers, with a brush, with a sponge, layering, sheering, dabbing, stippling, and buffing, and nothing makes this any more useful for me. I am really incredibly disappointed, especially with all the hype. I think today I'm going to return it to Sephora, because I just can't deal with this huge waste of money.
Back to the drawing board when it comes to liquid foundations, I suppose.
Im a make up artist at MAC and I can truely say this is better than any foundations we sell. I am 21 and have bright red acne scars around my mouth so I used to buy full coverage foundation to hide them and would be embarassed when I would walk outside and you could see how cakey my make up looked. I have everything from drug store to name brand stuff. I had never tried mufe's foundation bc I had a bad reaction to the primers and was scared the foundation would do the same thibg. I went into sephora one day and the MUA put this foundation on me. I decided to walk around the mall with it on, & see how it looks after and hour. I literally went back 20 minutes later an purchased it. I have never found a foundation that looked so natural and airbrushed. When in sunlight it looks natural and glowing but still hides my scars. This foundation gives a dewy finish, so it might not be for people who have oily skin, but if you have dry skin give this a try ASAP. Its $45 but I can honestly say its worth every penny. I work in bright lights all day so Its very noticable to me if my foundation looks bad but this is heaven sent. I am no longer embarassed to go out in sunlight with make up on because this looks that natural. holy grail foundation hands down. I will continue to buy this for years to come. continued >>
