this is one of my HG liners. if i'm short on time i can slap on a shimmery neutral e/s and this liner and i'm good to go. it's so creamy and smooth and super-easy to apply. i love all the 24/7 liners that i have but bourbon is probably the best. IMHO UD has the market cornered on amazing liners.
I purchased the Velvet Rope set and this was in it. Normally, I'm very happy with brown liners for my dark brown eyes. In this case, not so happy with the color, so will go back to my "Teak" color in the Merle Norman. (I have pics of the comparison of them). For the record, I have a blue/red skin tone.
Just finished using up the entire product and I felt compelled to write a review. First, the color, shimmery brown, is really gorgeous but can be a bit too sparkly. Second, it smudges like crazy. After a night of dancing, it smudged below my eye-not a very flattering look. Third, I found much better and longer lasting eyeliner pencils (waterproof too) with NYC. They were about 2 bucks each versus the $16 price-tag on this junk. Was not impressed overall and will not repurchase.
i love love the color, its a pretty glitterish mixed brown (similar to mac's teddy in kohl)...i wish i could get it 5 stars except the staying power sucks crap. i even bought the eye sharpener (its much better).. btw this is waterproof SO that's another star off. i guess im jsut going to go back to MAC fluidline in dipdown! the staying power is just not good enough!
however my cousin says she went clubbing w/this eyeliner on and it stayed on the whole night O_O however..........it just doesn't work for me.
i tried the colored ones, they have GREAT staying power.
Urban Decay Bourbon is a medium brown e/l with little brown/gold flecks of glitter/shimmer. Its very soft and has great color payoff. I don't have to press hard at all to get the color out. It looks very nice with my blue/grey eyes.
Unfortunately these are pretty pricey at $16. There is also a bit of glitter fallout with mine, nothing too major but it is a bother. As well when you sharpen them you lose a lot of the pencil. I usually stick it in the fridge for a few minutes before sharpening.
This is a great color that lasts a long time on my lids, and I would buy it again. The only cons are : Price and glitter fallout
it's sooooo smooth to apply but it stays FOREVER on my eyelids and the color is so pretty and natural! i used to think brown is boring but it has this lovely tiny shimmering sparkles~~ anyway, it's the best.
My go-to eyeliner. I love the bronze color. It does run a little on my lower lids by the end of the day, but not enough to make me stop buying it.
A absolute beauty of a pencil- I am so glad I found this. It blows MAC Teddy out of the water. It is stunning on my greenish-gold eyes, and lasts all day, without primer potion (I have dry lids, though I still get creasing with other liners, so I am surprised a pencil liner has this staying power). Highly recommend.
This eyeliner is a really nice color, a med-dark chocolate brown with subtle gold/silver sparkle. It does go on nicely, and it does stay for a long time, but for the price I don't think it's all that special. I would rather spend 3/4 of the price and get a liquid liner that stays on just as well, if not better. I think if this eyeliner were like ten dollars cheaper it would be great, but for $16 it's really not worth it to me.
Hands down the best eyeliner on the planet.
I love UD's 24-7 eyeliners. I can't wear all of the colors, but even the basics aren't so "basic" thanks to tiny shimmer particles. They are creamy, easy to swipe on, layer well and last a long, long time - pretty much the entire day really. A little trick - you have 30 seconds from the time you put it on before it sets to "waterproof." After that, even if you rub a q-tip really hard, only a little color will come off. That being said, it removes very easily with makeup remover or even soap and water.
I bought bourbon on a whim and now it's my daily staple. I also love the color Lust which is a bright purple that really accentuates green eyes.
$16 is a little much considering how quickly I go through the product, but I'm willing to shell out the money since the eyeliner is worth every penny in my book.
