I'm not a huge eyeshadow wearer but I wanted to get into it so I decided to buy this. At £36 in the UK I was hesitant but decided to get it as I found it on a website for £32.40. The quality and pigmentation of these eyeshadow are fantastic. I have the UK 'dupes' from MUA (cheap brand in superdrug) and although a good colour match the quality just isn't the same. The UD eyeshadows are creamy and easy to blend, however I don't find them particularly long lasting. Without a decent eye primer these most definitely crease, even with the UD primer potion they sometimes do - not great. Also, the shimmery shades tend to have some fallout and so you end up with glitter on your cheeks - also not great. The packaging, compared to the Naked 2 and Naked basics is shocking - a velvety type material which means if you use this a lot, the writing is going to wear off and the packaging is grubby after a while. With the amount of shimmery shades in this pallete I use it more for nights out or big events, I rarely use it on a day to day basis. This is not to say I don't like it, I do, I love it - but if the Naked Basics had been out when I decided to get into eyeshadows I probably would have bought that instead.
I love this eyeshadow palette. All of the colors are beautiful and wearable. The shadows are creamy and easy to blend. Although I love Naked, I don't see myself using it up anytime soon and when I do, I think I'll just try another palette instead of repurchasing. I highly recommend buying it though.
The naked palette is one of the few palette in which i use every color. The shadows have a great texture, they blend easily and the fallouts are minimal. My favorite colors are half-baked, virgin/sin, darkhorse and smog which are, in my mind, the softest most buttery shadows. The only colour I don't like that much is sidecar because I found it too glittery. If you are looking for a good neutral palette, go with this one. Not only will you be able to create multiple looks to make you beautiful, you will also have lots of fun :)
Perfect palette for the nude lover. Will definitely repurchase.
Really nice one from UD here. Twelve amazing shades [my favs would be Buck, Dark Horse and Hustle] that can really satisfy your lust for neutrals. Mostly shimmery/ satin finishes with the exception of two mattes [Buck and Naked]. Really smooth, blendable and pigmented. Great for bringing with you when you travel. As for price, buying palettes are always more worth it and for twelve almost full size pans you really cannot go wrong with this one. Plus the eyeliner duo/ brush inside makes it less of a hassle to always have to pack separate tools/eyeliner! I personally love the suede like packaging with gold words [makes it look so edgy] although I can see why this is a problem as well, as eyeshadow may just catch and cling onto the packaging making the palette look like one hot mess. But overall, gotta say, great job UD!
I bought this not long after it came out. I was a bit nervous as it was pricy and I am far from loaded. I still use this product a lot even though I have a lot more makeup. It's not going to be your stunning palette or the fun palette. But it is an every day one you can feel confident in turning to. I use all of the colors in one look or another.
The dark brown, Darkhorse, is one of my favorites. I use it to smudge out black liner, as a corner for a smoked look, smudged under the eye with a 239. It is very versatile. Virgin and Sin are lovely highlighting colors, depending on the looks I want to go for. Halfbaked is a decent gold. I even like Sidecar, the glittery shade in the bunch. I always use a UDPP and carefully pat with a 239 and I never have issues. You can always do foundation after eye makeup to minimize the cheerleader sparkle cheek look. I ended up liking Toasted and Hustle, which surprised me.
All in all, this is a solid palette. I think it's something one can use all the time. I also have the 15 Year Anniversary, Smoked, and BoS IV.
This is one of my best purchase ever! Eye-shadows are very pigmented, beautiful, smooth and last all day. Very perfect for everyday wear; night and day. I use buck for contouring and virgin for highlighting because the colours are very versatile and perfect for my tone. To compare with Lorax Pro and The Balm Nude 'Tude, I love NAKED better!!! Totally worth it!!! RM160 (Malaysia)
This is a great product overall. You dust the shadow on your lid and it does not crease at all, granted you put on the primer potion. The shadows are a bit shimmery, sometimes a little over the top. You have to really put this product on in intervals or it will be a glittery mess. The matte eyeshadows are really nice, though. The eyeshadows blend well with each other. The only reason I would maybe not buy this product again is because of the price, it is 50$ for the palette which I think is very overpriced.
Pros: blends well, does not crease, stays on all day
Cons: pricey, very shimmery
I'm a big fan of neutral, natural eyeshadows and use them as my daily look. Unfortunately, I also have some of the oiliest lids on the planet and Asian eyelids that crease onto itself. So I finally coughed up the $50 and bought this infamous palette, and it every bit lives up to the hype. The colors are insanely pigmented, so much to the point that the first time I used it I actually had to wipe it off and redo it because it came out way darker than I had expected! The shadows also blend like a dream. A thing that came as a happy surprise was the usability of all the colors. I usually only use browns and tans, so I didn't expect much use out of the non-browns such as Hustle and Toasted. To my surprise, the non-browns come out as very nice neutrals and look every bit as nice as classic browns like Darkhorse. At the end of the day the eyeshadow still looked almost perfect; no fading or smearing. The only change was a slight amount of creasing where my Asian eyelids fold under, but that's to be expected due to my eyelid shape and oily lids. Though I haven't tried the shadows with the primer it came with, I'd guess that if I used primer there would be no creasing at all. My palette came with a Good Karma eyeshadow brush, which was hefty and well crafted. However, I don't use it because the bristles seem a little bit too stiff in my opinion, so I gave it to my sister and use my own eyeshadow brush. The price is a bit high for an eyeshadow palette, but considering how expensive Urban Decay products are and the amount of product you're given (12 full-sized shadows, a brush, and a mini bottle of primer), it's a pretty solid splurge on an essential if you use neutrals for your everyday look. If I ever run out of this product (which shouldn't be anytime soon, according to other people's experiences and the pigmentation of the shadows), I will definitely repurchase.
Amazing palette, top quality eyeshadows that are smooth, pigmented and last all day (especially with a primer like mac paint pots). They are neutral and perfect for everyday wear. I use this non stop and will forever love it and repurchase it if I ever run out which I don't see happening anytime soon as I have only hit pan on one shadow (naked - perfect crease colour for pale skin) even thought I use this almost everyday. My favourite formula of eyeshadows I have ever tried (and I have tried a lot!). Expensive but reasonably priced considering the amount of wearable shadows you get - great investment. Packaging can get a bit dirty but that is my only complaint.
