OPI Tickle my France-y is a beautiful, creamy nude that's far from your everyday, pink or beige neutral. Instead, it's a beautiful almost grey, lavender taupe that is the perfect twist to a neutral nude. It's very unique and different, yet in the best way possible. It's conservative, modern, subtle, yet has a that wild pop of flavour that makes it unique for going out; it takes on that natural, healthy look with a subtle twist that makes this colour have that extra oomph, rather than a plain old neutral. I love how it can look like a creamy milk chocolate to a lovely lavender toned beige pink. It's very classy; a beautiful nude that's not boring at all. This is a great addition for fall and winter, perking up those dull winter days and boring black clothes, yet still looking naturally gorgeous with a twist. I use three coats for the best colour and coverage. One coat is extremely sheer, but not streaky at all, two is a little more opaque, though you can just see your tips, but three provides perfect opaque coverage, while still being classy and subtle.
It's definitely different. Different from all the other fall colors that have been coming out and looking alot like everything we've ever seen before. It's a lavender-lilac-taupe-dusty-nude. Looking more purple or more taupe depending on the light. I hate it when it looks taupe, because it tends to look like an ugly car paint/carpet taupe than a nude taupe. But when it looks more purple it is stunning and unusual.
I think I will wear this more sheer than full color because I hate when it looks taupe that much.
I love this color for fall! I'm a little more conservative, and don't want to wear the straight grey that is so in demand right now. I like how this color can vary from brownish-nude to grey, depending on what I'm wearing. It has enough of a greyish cast to be fashionable this season and to not look bad against my "warm" skin color. I've been wearing this non-stop since I bought it.The color goes on smoothly, and is one of the longer-lasting colors I have. As far as I'm concerned, another winner from OPI!
This is a great shade, a little bit of purple, a little bit of gray with just enough PINK to make it feminine, not so dull. This shade ended up looking great on my skintone, usually this type of color would make my hands look dark and blah.
Yes, it's a nudish color, but not in the old-fashioned way. It's a very "modern" nude due to its grey undertone. Note the bottle color is somewhat misleading. In fact, TMF didn't even tempt me until I saw some of the pics posted by the wonderful girls on the NB. The color on the nail has some pink undertones which make it very wearable. It's a unique and office-friendly shade. The application of 2 coats was easy and streak-free. I'm on day 4 with this polish and have just slight tip wear. This is with my usual base coat of CND Stickey and top coat of Seche Vite. I would definitely recommend this chic shade!
I keep looking at my hands, trying to figure out exactly what color this is since it looks different under diferent lights. The reviewew who said it looked like silly putty was dead on under artificial lights for me but in natural light, it's a mauvey shade that keeps drawing my eye. I have You Don't Know Jacques on my toes and was worried in the bottles that the violet in the nude would just look muddy with the gray on my feet, but really, I feel very polished. I love this entire Fall collection!
Beautiful nude, creamy perfection. I would love to leave the review just as that, but let me explain... This colour looks slightly boring in the bottle and in store. I probably wouldn't have given it a 2nd look if it weren't for the lovely MUAers. When applying, this goes on really well and opaque in 2 coats. In dim lighting, it looks like light chocolate milk.. in natural sunlight it looks nude, and in artificial lighting (like my office) it looks like a very light lilac. Something about this colour change keeps me intrigued. It is a great colour for work and would work well with just about any outfit. I will repurchase if I finish this bottle any time soon.
Tickle My France-y may be described as a nude colour, but it's definitely one of the most unique nude colours I have seen. It is a flesh colour, but it has grey undertones to it which make it more of a beige nude than a pink nude. It is totally creme, as with many other colours in the France collection. The only downside with cremes is their tendency to streak, but the streaks can be evened out on the second coat, and even a 3rd if required. I have found that all the polishes I have purchased from this collection have an incredible shine to them, and also great lasting power. This is a great colour - highly recommend if you are looking for a nude colour with a difference. (see my swatch above - the short nails).
I love bright, vivid colors, but one has to tone it down sometimes for the office ... and for that, this is perfect! It's a very classy nude color - it's like flesh except better. It is very glossy, which I love, and I can't stop looking at my nails. This is really nice. Very chic!
One coat of this is perfect for a French mani on me. Great opaque nude beige with a hint of pink. Skin color, I guess! lol. I'll try it with two or three coats later but for now perfect French mani color!
