Nasty, nasty stuff. It's very thick, greasy, sticky & waxy. And the scent makes me gag. continued >>
I can't believe the bad reviews, I love this cream. I use it at night though, cause I want it to really absorb and do its thang. I use very little you don't need much. I do love the smell, so does DH. Like carrot cake. I really like the glass jar, keeps it fresher. My skin drinks it up. Leaves it feeling supple, dewy, and nourished. This changes the skin's texture after awhile, as well as the tone. It evens it out. I call it makeup optional skin. Much smoother, less pores. Just flawless muthaflippin skin. I switch between this and Juice Organics brightening moisturizer, cause it's ma monies, and I can buy what I want!

This cream smells like heaven, and moisturizes like there is no tomorrow, BUT it is very orange and no matter how little you smooth on, it will make you look jaundiced. I have fair skin and just a tiny bit of this made me look very yellow. I suggest using it as a night cream, this way the yellow will fade by morning but your skin still feels soft and smooth. I will buy it again, but won't use it as a day cream.
I like this stuff. I got it for my mom a couple years ago but she stopped using it because it was too heavy for her.
I took it from her to use around my eyes, because I believe in heavily moisturizing those areas. I guess the smell doesn't bother me because I only use it on one region of my face...I can't imagine putting it on an entire face I would feel gross like the other reviewers.
Overall, it really keeps my eye area moisturized and I no longer have to deal with my skin or makeup looking flaky throughout the day. I would buy again because it's easy on the wallet. :)
(I also use a very small amount so I don't get that yellow tint everyone is talking about)
It's orange, has a strange smell and a thick waxy consistency. I mixed it with a small cosmetic spatula, which made it creamy and easier to apply. I just didn't like it, mostly because of the smell. I've tried all the Burt's creams and the Beeswax Moisturizing Day Creme is my preference. for daytime.
Ahh I accidently grabbed this instead of the night creme, and figured I'd just try it instead of returning it.. well since it is such a huge amount in the pot I was really trying to like this but it's got like a plastic-y/chemical weird almost synthetic or something underlying odor that I just can't get over, and since the texture is almost like a creamy watery plastic it just doesn't feel *right* rubbing it all over my face,
I still love Burt Bees, they have some great products,.. Not a fan at all of this formula

Yikes! I agree with most of the other reviews. I have light skin, and after using it I was definitely tinted orange. The smell isn't great, I could deal with it if the product was amazing (but it's not). To me it kind of smells like old cigarettes and carrots - not pleasant. Also, it is VERY heavy and made my skin super greasy after applying. It eventually sunk in, but I didn't like how heavy it felt on my skin before it did. I didn't get any breakouts from it, but I only used it 3 or 4 times before switching. There's no reason to use this when there are MUCH better all natural products out there!!
Oh Burt's Bees, I wish I could like your products. Beyond the cuticle cream, I don't think anything in the sampler pack was any good. This Carrot Creme is probably the worst thing in the pack. It has a strange texture, strange colour and horrible smell. It doesn't moisturize, but leaves you with this strange residue.
I guess I liked that it came in a glass jar?
