I find it weird that everyone is ripping into this eye liner.
I am on my third tube. I started with the drk brown, and am now using the black every day.
I dont really have any serious problems with it. For $8 I think it delivers what Im expecting. I really enjoy the thin brush and find it fairly easy to use. The only problem Ive had in the past is the lid cracking...but this happens to most of my liquid liners (most recent victim is a mac superslick liner).
The liner lasts about 9 hours for me which is really all I need. It doesnt flake during the day for me and doesnt transfer to my lid like others do.
This and loreals carbon black are prob my 2 goto drugstore liners on the market.
I love nyx, but this is a bit rubbish. I've got the brown, which is more of a brown-black, and on the plus side it's nice and opaque. It does take far too long to dry, and I end up having to correct it every time- but it flakes off throughout the day, which is inexcusable. This is what I get for being a cheapskate.

WOW what is with all these horrid star-reviews? I admit, this product is most definetely not the best budget liquid liner out there, but there actually are a few positives to this generally c**p product :l
I have mine in black, and from cherryculture. I live in Australia so with shipping (which was SO expensive!!) AND the march madness 20% off sale and the aus->usd conversion, it was around 5.50AUD. Still cheaper than most liquid eyeliners in the Australian cosmetic market.
This nyx liner has a fine brush which is sturdy and soft enough for the smooth but thick product to glide over my eyelids. I can create a very accurate cat's eye- no problemo. However, it takes ages to dry! I mean like 30seconds plus! I have no idea what i should do with my eye since i can't NOT blink for half a minute! And if i close my eyes just a bit, it smudges onto my lower lasheline and i have to rub it off, damaging my delicate eye area (i'm lazy and don't like to use a cotton swab to remove small mistakes)
The color is very pigmented and pitch-black, which is great. However, the formula stays put after it's dry and gives me a hard time blinking cos it's just so rigid! No flaking but it feels like clay on my eyelids :(
I would only purchase this liner again if dries quicker and the formula changes! hate the clay-hard feeling.
Packaging is normal and sturdy with contours for the fingers to slide into.
I really want to try the Dollywink eyeliner next. I am a huge fan of pen felt tip liners!

I can describe this in one word: JUNK.
I have this in silver and it's useless. I have used L'Oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner, so I know what liquid liner is supposed to be like. This is garbage.
It's so thin and watery that it barely shows up on the lid. The brush holds barely any product so you will have to re-dip in the inkwell multiple times to line one eye. You can't layer on more coats because going over the line wipes off the perfect line you just made. When it dries, cracks appear in your eyeliner.
Maybe the other colors are better, but I would never think of trying this again.
I don't have the black but I have a bunch of other colors and I have absolutely no problem with these liners I like them a lot and use them often the only con is that after just a month one of the tubes broke when I was opening it but good thing they were cheap enough to order another one.
Got this product in a HauteLook package with some other eye products and... wow... this is probably one of the worst liquid eyeliners I have ever gotten.
I got the black one and it is so ridiculously watery! Such a disappointment :( I would rather stick to my ELF liquid liners which are even cheaper and better. I liked the fine tip of the applicator... but the bristles separate if there isn't enough liquid liner on it... HORRIBLE product! :(
DO NOT BUY. I went on a NYX shopping spree months ago with a coupon... I should have done research before purchasing and ended up throwing or giving away 1/3 of the products I bought. The liquid liners (bought: black pearl, brown, and silver) were too runny and required multiple coats because the colors wouldn't stay on. Then when it dried, it'd start flaking/cracking... Because it was so runny, it traveled in my eye and it stung like crazy.... Never again. I'd rather get Wet & Wild liquid liner (cheaper)! continued >>
Total crap, It didn't apply evenly and flaked off horribly a couple of hours later. I tried it several times to make sure it was this product and it did it every time. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
Good packaging and I've read that brushes are better so I decided to try this but the tip of the brush left no product on the eye with it all gooped from the sides around the blank space which I dealt with by using lots of patience and reapplying BUT it is 2pm (applied at 8am) this morning and it has flaked and cracked almost completely off. It's not overly hot and I use a good eye makeup base and have been wearing black eyeliner for ages and never had this problem. UNFORGIVEABLE. Fail.
I am a newbie to liquid liner and purchased this liquid liner because it was three dollars and I am a broke teenager, lol.
The packaging is really sleek, but when it comes to the applicator-no. just no. The applicator is really flimsy and i can never create a straight line-i guess that just depends on my "talent" of putting on eyeliner or if it is, in fact, the applicator's fault. But, for me, this is a no go. I was really surprised- NYX is a brand that has great makeup, but sadly I will not repurchase.
