Woohoo! I love Karma Komba! I think the solid shampoos from Lush are ingenious, and the scent of this one is definately my fave! It took me a few goes to master the right amount for my hair, some people say lather the bar in your hand others say rub it directly on your head. I get the best results by rubbing the bar directly on my scalp and then massaging with my fingers, the lather is short lived but it does clean my hair really well. I have long hair and I have found my hair is get no where near as tangled and knotty when I am blow drying after I use this. The tin is great but make sure your bar is COMPLETELY dry before you put it in the tin, my boyfriend and I put ours back in the tin while it was still wet- Mistake! Couldn't get the slippery thing back out and subsequently ended up mushing it out of shape which reduced the amount of washes we got out of it. On to our second bar now and have mastered the use and storage. I would recommend this product for daily washing and would be great for travel!

Karma Komba has a fantastic, long lasting smell. Usually the smell of my shampoo fades after a day or so, but with this shampoo bar the smell was still strong and fresh until I washed my hair again two days later.
The bar is £5 in the UK, and it is great value - it lasted me nearly two months. It lathers up really well with only a little bit of product. However, the reason for giving Karma Komba four lipsticks instead of five is that after washing the shampoo from my hair it didn't feel silky or smooth, but very rough, straw like and almost how I imagine my hair would be matted. This was solved with generous amounts of conditioner.
I would buy this product again, the smell is fantastic and long lasting; it is so fresh, I just kept smelling my hair for days after first using it. The price tag is affordable and it is good value for how long a seemingly tiny bar lasts.

Smells good! Green and earthy, but not much like plants. Maybe mushroomy jungle undergrowth. I love that smell, though. I used this with Jungle conditioner and I have liked the shampoo's performance. I am not a big fan of the flowers and crap jammed into the soap--I don't want to have to pick that out of my hair or shower drain, gross. I bought this because the image online did not imply it had those things in it. Plus once I pull out the big dried flower, I was missing a 1/4" x 1/4" chunk in my bar, which is like 1-2 shampoos, probably! Buh.

I do like the dark green way this smells (like a really heavy, less floral Aveda--actually it reminds me sooo much of my dad's old Herbal Essence from the 1970s with the nude girl on the cover with the flowers in her hair, the dark green shampoo--!) and it cleans great, just like the other Lush shampoos I have tried (Hard, Shine).

I am addicted to these shampoos; no liquid shampoo cleans as well as I have found these to. Yesterday I woke up with no hot water in the shower, and I skipped my shampoo, and then today I woke up later than I wanted and had to put my hair up in the shower for lack of drying time, and it still looked great, nice and shiny and the oil distribution was even. I probably could have waited another day but I really wanted to try my new shampoo and conditioner that came today.

I think each bar lasts me about 1.5 months, using about every other day. I had 2 bars for Christmas and I am just now running out of my Hard bar (in multiple chips, which are not the easiest to control in the shower) at the end of March '12.

Again, make sure you store these on a sponge outside your shower! They won't get all gross and melt if you do that. Make sure your sponge can dry out every day, though (not IN the shower, I store mine on an outside ledge).

I really like this shampoo. It cleans/lathers just as well as any other shampoo I've used so it's nothing outstanding in that regard. However, I would continue buying it over the others because of the smell (it's not for everyone, but I like it!) and the fact that it seems to last forever! I was surprised at the $10.95 CAD price tag for such a small bar, but I've been using it for months and still have a little more than half the bar. :O I will definitely repurchase once I finally finish it.

I love this shampoo. It's fun to use in the shower, and such a small amount is needed each time that I feel this bar is going to last a long, looong time! It lathers really well and rinses out easily enough. To be honest, I absolutely hate the way my hair feels when I get out of the shower and comb it through. It's literally squeaky clean, which sounds wrong to me. Once I got it combed and dried though, my hair looked and felt amazing! I was worried that it would be too clean and dried out, but it wasn't. I'm definitely going to be using this regularly!
It also smells great :)

I love this product! I have tried many of the Lush shampoo bars and this is deffintly the best one, made my hair feel very clean and loved the smell! Also love the fact it has no packaging, so much easier to use in the shower, and it's quite fun to use too!

If you like a shampoo with a pleasant fragrance and are intrigued by the concept of solid shampoos Karma Komba is a great shampoo to start with.
It's good to use on straight hair particularly.
The most economical way to use it is to carefully comb your hair before wetting it in the shower, then to gently pass the bar down your hair just three times - sides and back. This simple move produces enough lather to adequately wash your hair.
Used with a good quality conditioner, my hair is in very good condition.
It's best to let the bar air dry before sealing it back in its tin and to try and keep one side dry when using it, if possible.
Otherwise it will dry messily on to the tin - and this makes it very uneconomical. You don't really need the special LUSH tin, I got mine free when I bought Karma Komba and Godiva together. I should have bought a second bar of Karma Komba or New instead by the way. Godiva was rubbish....

This is what you wash your hair with in heaven. I swear. Smells AH-MAZING! If you are not familiar with Lush's solid shampoo bars, you must get acquainted asap! You rub it right down your part and directly on your hair for a rich lather and pleasant aromatherapy experience! This leaves your scalp clean and your hair lovely! This is my fave shampoo bar.

A few years ago, I got this free with a large purchase I made at Lush. I didn't know what to make of it when I first used it. It took a while to get used to the scent, but I grew to love it. It has become my go-to shampoo when I want my hair to look especially pretty--it makes my hair soo bouncy and shiny. It lasts forever. I always keep one on hand.
