Smells exactly like Comet cleanser. Not offensive, but nothing special, in my opinion. This would definitely smell better on a man, there is nothing feminine about it. As for the so-called 'pheromone effect', I think it's BS. I do find it kind of fascinating because I can't seem to smell it 5 minutes after application, yet I can smell it on my clothing after it's been laundered. Weird. Overpriced!

This has gained "cult favorite" status at Luckyscent which is usually reason enough to try it.
This is a true skin scent and is perfect for the person looking for something very understated. However, I wish they added a few more molecules and added to the complexity of the fragrance. It's a nice start (woods, amber, and clean white musk) but seems unfinished.
If it were $30 I would buy tons and layer it with other fragrances. However, at $100+, I want a more cohesive fragrance with better lasting power.

I love how this smells on me, subtle, evocative and woody. As for the "pheremone" effect, well every time I wear it I get compliments and asked what it is I'm wearing. Sadly all these compliments have come from other women and I don't swing that way! Despite that I will continue to wear it as it's a breath of fresh air (can you say that about perfume?) in a world full of sickly, floral, fruity celebriscents

I'm glad to have smelled a sample of this fragrance, because it's helped me to be able to identify Iso E Super when I smell it in various other fragrances.
The fragrance is pleasant, woody, sort of like a sandalwood and cedar mix, but without the weight that those notes usually carry. It's light and somewhat ethereal. There is also a sort of dirt-like or mineral aspect to the fragrance, for me at least. However, I also smell something slightly musty, or maybe even a bit cardboard-esque.
Though I'm pleased to have smelled Iso E Super on its own, I think it's a note that performs best as part of a composition, rather than as the star of its own show, like in Molecule 01. I don't find this fragrance to be interesting or compelling, beyond the satisfaction of what was a somewhat academic curiosity.

This is a great fragrance... but it's deceptive!
Some time after you've put it on you can't smell it on yourself anymore(and I have an extremely good sense of smell -- I can smell things that other people can't, like if there is a cockroach hidding somewhere in a room I can smell it) But other people will! People ask me what I'm wearing more often when I wear this than any other fragrance I've tried... and I'm surprised because I thought the smell had dissipated completely already...
Last week a girl who works in the same space as me but at the opposite side of the room said that she always knows when I'm in the room because of this gorgeous faint smells that waffs over to her. I thought "god, maybe I'm putting on too much" -- (I usually spritz only once or twice) and said so, but she replied "no, it's very subtle, refreshing and pleasant" and then begged me to tell her what it was.

It's a lovely scent! Very fresh, elusive and breezy. Not sweet or cloying at all. I really dislike most perfumes, esp. the heavier ones. I find them totally nauseating and synthetic. But this is the opposite: it so sublte and chic and uplifting. Completely different from most generic, commercial perfumes! Can't wait to try the other Escentrics!

Molecule 01 is probably the most frustrating scent I have ever smelled (or tried to smell, I should say). I flat out adore its sister perfume, Escentric 01, which is 65% ISO E Super and so thought I would love this even more. Well, I was wrong.

Molecule 01 is like spraying my arm with water that is VERY faintly scented with rubbing alcohol and cedar. At first, I thought the bottle that I purchased from Luckyscent had gone off and was advised that the juice needed time to "macerate". I waited a month and still no change. I tried the juice from a 2nd bottle that had been used for a while and it was no different. I cannot smell anything but faint rubbing alcohol and cedarl. And, at 100ml/$135, I am not interested in laying Molecule 01 down like a fine Bordeaux in hopes that it might eventually develop 20 years from now! Hats off to whoever can smell this and the similarly elusive LesNezL’Antimatiere

Here are the alleged "notes": sandalwood and cedar.

oh my -- i am smitten. this is utterly addictive on my skin: woody, warm, delectable, not sweet, not harsh, not fleeting, not strong, sometimes there, sometimes not -- i really can't describe it coherently. i have *rarely* sniffed my own arm this obsessively -- maybe even never. and i really did not believe a single word of all the hype -- but hey, it may all be true.

still: from what i understand this is made of only one molecule (hence the name)-- iso e super -- denat. alcohol and water. the iso e-super can be bought online from perfumer-supply sites (and they even tell you how much you can use). should i ever empty this bottle i just received in a swap (and i just might, at the rate i am even sniffing the *box* that is standing on my desk) i shall attempt to concoct this for myself.

Molecule 01 contains just one molecule, the Iso E Super that's used widely in perfumery (it smells a lot like the cedary, warm base in Ormonde Jayne's wonderful fragrances). This envelps my skin in a warm, sweet cedary haze - it's lovely. One minute it's there, another it's gone. I'm left wondering if the price tag is really justified? I don't know - but do try this out.
