If you have acne and youve tried just about everything and nothing.has worked, buy this mask. Its only $4 at ulta so its not a huge risk. I am so impressed with how potent yet gentle it is on my sensitive skin. Ive used it only two nights (not in a row) and i went from have like 10 pimples to only havjng two this morning. It even helped some of my redness and hyperpigmentation go away. TRY THJS STUFF.
I have recently got this product due to the hype its been getting. A really good price for the amount of use you can get out of it.
If you have sensitive skin or some dry patches on your face, you might feel like stingy pain. I had that when I apply the product on for the first time and man.. it was no joke that it hurt. I even teared a little. lol. But the pain went away after like 30 seconds.
I usually leave the mask on for like 30 minutes or so. I would then rinse it away with warm water to remove all the residue on my face. And then rinse it with cold water to close the pores.
After all that jazz, my pore seem to appear smaller. However i do advice to constantly use this mask in the long run to achieve the result that you are seeking for. This product can be quite drying on the skin, so I use it once a week.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I have very oily acne prone skin and this is just awesome!! I apply all over my face about 15-20 minutes than was off with warm water it leaves my face feeling fresh, smooth and oil free for the longest time it shrinks large pores tremendsley !! This is a must for me just live it!! I prefer buying the tub over the tube because it seems to not dry up unlike the tube!
I have acne prone skin,I change the slightest thing in my beauty routine and I break out horribly! I think I've finally found my holy grail beauty product! I've used it twice already and I can see it clearing my acne, making my skin soft and its even reducing my redness! I'm so happy I stumbled upon it on accident!
i love this mask. I am mom and at 23 oily acne prone skin is not very attractive! This stuff clears my face, shrinks pores and controls oil! I use it every other day being that I wear makeup and it controls shine, only use it at night so ur face doesnt remain dry. for me i use clinique and that works great but i just needed a mask that i cud use and not feel like i spent too much money. i love that I can get it at walmart in a tube for only $4! Minty smell doesn't bother me. no frilly foo foo gimmicks. just a mask hell i used egg white masks to remove a few black heads THAT is a mess, this is a thick green mask. Use it and decide if you like it. I love it!
I've done plenty of clay masks but only the Mint Julep mask gives me lasting, noticeable results. I think what really makes it work is the sulfur content. To give you some background I have dry, acne prone (but clear because of my routine), and very clog prone skin. I rarely get acne or pimples now, but I use this mask weekly because it improves the tone of my skin, making it much more luminous and even-- and if I do have a pimple, the mask soothes, reduces redness and swelling, and helps dry it out.
My usual method of using the mask is to gently exfoliate with the wrong side of a Gerber baby wash cloth and CeraVe foaming cleanser. Then I apply the mask thickly to slightly damp skin, massaging it in. I leave it on longer than the recommended 15 minutes... normally 20 -30 minutes until it is dry. To remove the mask, I use the right side of the Gerber washcloth and plenty of warm water and rinse very thoroughly. I don't use any cleanser because I don't want to wash off the sulfur. Afterwards I use a heavy moisturizer like Eucerin Original Healing Cream because I have dry skin.
After doing this mask my skin always feels refreshed and looks brighter and more even. It does smell lightly of sulfur, but that's a small price to pay for good skin.
One of my favorite beauty products ever. I use it twice a week or once every two days in the summer when my skin is more oily.
For my typical night routine, I remove all of my makeup and clean my face with baby wipes. Then apply this in a layer where I can't see my skin anymore, but it is still not very thick. It smells very minty and makes my skin feel cool. I wait for it to complety dry and rinse it off, then use my exfoliating brush and noxema because it can sometimes leave a little residue. Then I follow up with toner, moisturizers, and such.
I love how tight it makes my skin feel and small my pores look smaller afterwards. I also seem to be glowing after use using it.
It can be drying sometimes, which is why I use it at night where I can use heavy creams and moisturizers and wake up with beautiful, glowing, healthy looking skin. I also use it as an overnight spot treatment on huge zits or places where a zit is coming on. It dries them up quickly.
I've used this product for years and will continue to as long as it's being made. It's really affordable and can be bought at Sally's Beauty Supply or even Family Dollar.
This stuff is a must have!
I don't use this on a regular basis, but I really should. Every time I use it, I notice a significant improvement of my skin - it's smoother and it simply feels refreshed!
Ahh, my face really never feels this clean.
I kept hearing so many wonderful things about this mask, so I decided it was time for me to try it for myself!
I have combination skin but with the weather getting colder, it leans more on the drier side. My skin stopped feeling as smooth and soft as it used to, despite gracious amounts of moisturizer and avoiding water that was too hot. I avoided toners with alcohol. I switched cleansers. Nope, my skin was still as dry as ever.
It was for this reason I was nervous about using this mask - it does say on the packaging it's for oilier skin. Aside from a breakout though, I really didn't think my skin could get worse anyway.
It was with that in mind that I slathered this all over my face one night after removing my makeup. It smelled really good - like cool mint, fresh but not too overpowering. It felt really nice on my face as I gently smoothed it across my skin. I applied a consistent, not too thin layer across my face avoiding my eyes and my lips.
I waited 15 minutes before rinsing it. It started feeling kind of tingly and tight and I thought "ugh, maybe this was a bad idea". Whenever I get that tight feeling from products, I know that my skin is going to disagree. The mask had started to dry and turn white. I probably could have left it on longer, but I didn't feel comfortable doing so.
I rinsed it off with lukewarm water and gently patted my face dry. I did notice right away my skin looked like it was glowing, and despite my face feeling a little tight my skin felt smooth underneath my fingertips. What I think I liked the MOST however was that my lotion seemed to absorb into my skin a lot better. It felt heavenly after I put on my moisturizer and eye cream. Some of my blackheads seemed to have disappeared as well.
Overall I really like this product. It's something I'd use once a week or two. Ever since I used it my skin has been noticeably softer and clearer. It's also on the affordable side. I think this might be my skin's best friend this coming winter!
Canadian beauties: you can grab this from Sally's Beauty Supply.
I use this about once a week or once every couple of weeks, and it does a good job of cleaning out my pores and making them appear smaller. I sometimes use it as an overnight spot treatment on breakouts too, but don't often have a problem with that. No need to spend a bunch of money on expensive masques when this cheap one does a fine job!
