I am a fragrance addict, and anytime something new comes out that has a lot of hype around it I like to try it if only out of curiosity. That curiosity didn't kill me this time, but it did almost choke me, because inhaling this was like a fistful of gardenias punching me in the face. REALLY HARD. Oh, phew. I have tried hordes of fragrances and this is no doubt the most obnoxious perfume I have ever experienced. Before you try it, make sure there is fresh air and Excedrin at hand. Trust me.

Initially, I liked this fragrance well enough, although I wouldn't say it knocked my socks off. As for the top notes, I picked up strong gardenia and a general "fresh" scent, almost like dryer sheets. This fragrance definitely has some staying power, which I appreciate - I could still smell it at least 6 hours after I put it on. The problem for me came in after I had had it on for awhile. Eventually, it started to smell like stale cigarettes masked by a spritz of Febreze - not what I want to smell like. I haven't read that this happened to anyone else, so it must just be my body chemistry. Unfortunately it just didn't work on me.

I don't like the bottle at all. It looks very cheap and tacky, and doesn't reflect the maturity of the fragrance at all. Major fail on that aspect, in my opinion. I really wanted to like this, but it just doesn't work for me. I could see it being a fantastic, sexy scent on others, however.

As a Madonna fan I was excited about this perfume. One smell brought back images of my childhood visiting elderly neighbors, my senior relatives, and my grandmother giving me hard candy.. no thanks.

This is a lovely tuberose-gardenia scent. I've heard one of Madge's fragrances is Fracas -- THE bombshell of tuberose -- and this has a very similar vibe. If you don't like florals, or more specifically if you don't like tuberose or gardenia, don't bother with this one. But if you do, I do recommend you check it out.

I love Fracas and have had a dalliance with Michael Kors which my husband loved but was too strong for me...I love tuberose and want to love Gardenia but it has never sat well with me. Anyway I had a day off and was looking in my local department store at pefumes and I saw Truth or Dare, I did not even know Madonna had a perfume out so I opened the cap and had a sniff for fun, thinking this is going to be dire....

Oh my god was I wrong! I was instantly hit by the similarity to Fracas, so I was mega intrigued and sprayed it all over....it has a beautiful high quality tuberose note that is at the top I would say - and then underneath a soft gardenia, but also both have an earthy natural smell - which is AMAZING for a celeb scent - to be honest I was blown away but it. I almost wished it was not a Madonna scent as I detest celebrity scents, but then I thought - Madonna does not need the money - she is all about image and she can afford to make a fabulous, high quality scent that ranks up there with Fracas, Michael Kors, Guerlain etc - as she would want it to be fantastic and show her in a good light - heck Britney needs the money perhaps more, but Madonna sheesh - it's probably a tax loss product for her!

I love love love it!! It is multi faceted, and does it last!! It is not cloying, it is not headache inducing, it is quite simply beauuuuutiful!!!

I love this perfume and have another waiting in my closet. I also bought the bodylotion. I will definitely use this fragrance for a long long time.

This is utterly foul dreck. This is one of those perfumes that turn people off of white florals forever. I don't personally wear Fracas, but I respect it, it is a perfume milestone and a classic. This is no Fracas. Trainstop bathroom freshener, maybe. That's about it. She should have listened to her perfumer's advice....

This is a polarizing scent for sure. I love it. My husband absolutely hates it. Go figure. Use sparingly though, quite strong. I cannot wear Fracas at all and I love this, so they are similar but not identical. This is sweeter, but less buttery, if that makes sense.

If you like the original Comptoir's Tiare, this seriously reminded me of it. It's beachy and delicious!

This does smell a bit like Fracas!!! Maybe even a little better, if that's possible. I love this fragrance! It's just the right amount of 'floral', for my tastes anyway. A perfect day-to-evening scent, not too over powering, but not too timid to even be noticed at all. Because it is EDP, the sillage is lasting, especially if your clothing gets a bit of it when applied. It has a nice tuberose note that is more bang for your buck - than say Estee Lauder which is nice smelling, but super expensive & doesn't have hardly any sillage to it - compared to this. I will definitely buy this again. Macy's had a nice deal on a 3.5 oz bittle of the EDP that came with shower gel and body lotion. The only downside - was the packaging, the bottle is a nice milky glass with some beaded detailing around the edge that is nice, but the bottle is a little awkward shaped - tall & slender, so some what prone to toppling over, and the garrish gold cap is hideous.... continued >>
