Very interesting product. This particular shade is only meant for the palest of the pale. It's not light or shimmery enough to use as a highlighter or dark enough for a contour IMO. It's for pale people who cannot wear the average bronzer. The color is more like a "my face, but 2 shades darker" shade, so this should be applied with a big ol' fluffy brush wherever the sun naturally colors your face. The overall effect is VERY subtle, but that's the point when you're super pale. It gives a faint candlelit effect.
There is a temptation to use this as a finishing powder a la Mac's MSF, but if it doesn't match your face exactly than it will just look like your foundation is too dark. It's dirt cheap so it's totally worth playing around with if you're super pale.
Marketed as a bronzer, but should be used as a highlight. Great product, which you get a ton of. Not shimmery.
As many people have noticed by now, this is definitely not a traditional bronzer, despite being marketed under that title. It's really more of a highlighter, a very subtle, pretty one. It is about half a shade lighter than my skin, and when I apply it it gives me a natural glow. There are no huge glitter particles in sight, just the tiniest bit of very finely milled shimmer. It's great for adding dimension back to your face after applying foundation. The most unique part of this product is the fact that it actually has some sort of coverage. It's comparable to some face powders. I actually like using this to help cover up redness and it usually does the trick. It's not the most seamless powder however, and can sometimes be a little hard to blend. On darker skintones it may come off as chalky and ashy. Also the packaging is not nice at all (very plain and the top of mine broke off quite easily), but since it was so cheap I don't mind that part too much. Overall, I would recommend this to people who are on the lighter side with warm undertones who want a natural highlighter.
I really like this bronzer! I have pretty fair skin (NC15-20) and this works well with a light hand. It does have a shimmer in the cake but it's not noticeable when you have it on. I feel like it's not neutral enough to be used as a contour color, but it works very well for it's intended purpose as a bronzer. You get a ton of product for the money, and although it doesn't include an applicator, the packaging is sturdy and well maid. I do feel like if you dropped this is would crumble and wouldn't recommend you put it in your purse. It's very pigmented and just dabbing your brush in it causes the top of the cake to get "dusty". Overall great product for the money. This replaces my Clinique bronzer in Sunkissed.
This bronzer is not worth it (and it's only $4). I'm the palest of skin tones, and I thought this light shade would work well for contouring without making me look ruddy. But I was horrified to learn that it was completely invisible! It didn't work as a bronzer at all. It could work in other ways, like as a face powder to set foundation, or as a cheek/brow highlighter. Also, while there's a lot of product in the pan, a brush kicks up a LOT of powder and it's really wasteful. Not impressed!
Beautiful as a hi-lighter not bronzer at all ..No shimmer just a sheer sheen ..Exact dupe of Laura gellars vanilla highlighter IMO.. pretty brow highlighter...
This is a bronzer, but like everyone else, I use this as a highlighter. I love the beige color of this, and prefer it over the pinker toned highlighters, as I have a warm, yellow undertone. However, as with most Wet'nWild products, it's pretty shimmery. This is my only problem with the product. When the pigment fades, you're just left with weird shimmer on your face. It's not easy to see unless you really look for it, but I'm extremely picky about shimmer on my face and will lean close to the mirror to search for any shimmer left on my face. It does look like a nice glow at first glance, but it is quite shimmery. The product is soft and smooth, however, I suspect the product would break pretty easily if you dropped it. Overall, just too shimmery for me.
If you like highlighting every day this is one of your best bets. Also, if you're not into super sparkly/shimmery/glow (think Mary Lou Manizer) this is perfect for you. It gives a nice sheen with no glitter and it's very subtle but still adds dimension to your face. Definitely recommend unless you like to be super highlighted.
Even though this is called a bronzer I use it as a highlighter and it's amazing! This is a very soft, buttery smooth powder with very finely milled shimmer. Although there's shimmer the finish is more of a sheen, which I think looks more natural. I have combination dry/normal skin and prefer to use this product in the summer when my skin is more normal, because otherwise it can look more cakey and accentuate dry patches.
- Provides a soft, glowy highlight without being extremely shimmery or having huge chunks of glitter.
- Very affordable.
- Packaging is large and bulky.
- Powder is extremely delicate, if you drop it it will shatter. :(
Tip: I love setting my concealer with this! Not only does this make the concealer last longer, but it also gives a glowy highlight.
Obviously this isn't a bronzer.. I'm so pale I'm basically translucent. Everything I purchase is the lightest shade available... And this still isn't a bronzer on me. That being said, I bought it for the reason everyone does, as a highlighter. For my skin color, it's an okay highlighter. It's kind of too close to my skintone so it mostly blends in. I prefer a more pinky/white highlighter. It's also a little bit powdery. But any skin color darker than myself (aka everyone's) I think it'd look really pretty as a highlight. I do like that it isn't shimmery too.
