For the most part I think it gets the job done. Its a bit oily/greasy which is the biggest negative about this product. Primers are so expensive and for the money it does just fine.

I have all three of these (Skin Illuminating, Ultra Light, Skin Perfecting). And I love love love them! I have combination/oily skin, but they don't leave my skin feeling greasy or extra oily, even though they on like they would. They really help balance my skin and make my foundation/concealer last all day. Plus, not that this is that important, the packaging is super cute haha I will definitely continue to buy these!

Amazing product! I used to buy the really expensive primers from Sephora and MAC, and just happened across this at Walmart one day. For 7 dollars, I figured I'd try it out, and I'll never go back to the expensive stuff again.
It works just as well, has amazing hold, and is not oily at all (although you do have to shake it before opening because the product separates). Other primers make my skin feel like it's a big oily mess, but this keeps it clear and shine free. There's so much bang for your buck.
It looks really nice when you wear it alone too; the little flecks of shimmer are just noticeable enough to look pretty without overdoing it.

I call this the never-ending primer, it gives you so much bang for your buck! You get so much product, and I feel like this could be comparable to something like the Smashbox photo finish primer- for a fraction of the price. It controls oil really well and really does illuminate my skin. I can definitely tell that there is a difference between my bare skin, and when I use this. Yes, there is shimmer in it, but it's barely noticeable, especially if you use foundation or powder over it. Trust me, I have OILY SKIN and I don't mind the shimmer at all. This is definitely worth trying if you're in the market for a new primer, or don't have that much money to spend on makeup- since this will last you forever.

I had bought the perfecting primer from hard candy before this one, I'll have to say that this is the better one. Although they both have the same weird smell, I thought this one made my face seem much smoother.

As a primer, even though it seems a bit more oily compared to others, it worked as it should. It helped my make up stay on longer and fresher than without. There are probably other primers that work better than this one, but for a drug-store make it, the price was good for the quality and amount. I wouldn't buy this again since there probably are better ones out there.

This is stupid. Why did they add glitter (not shimmer) particles to it? Lame. It works fine as a primer, but I will not repurchase due to the unnecessary punch of silver glitter flecks.

Ughh. I read amazing reviews on this, and am so disappointed. It's the sparkle that did it for me. It says on the product that you can wear it "under foundation or alone." I would never wear it alone. My face would just be a sparkly, hot mess. I do not like to wear foundation all the time, but a primer everyday is a must. So for me, the sparkle makes it absolutely awful. I think I will try out the original kind...if walmart will allow me to return it that is.... :(

Oh man, I bought this because I was out of my Ultra-Light formula (in the white tube) -- bad move! This make my skin very greasy, my makeup didn't stay put and I broke out in my T-Zone, which is very very rare for me..

This may be better for extremely dry skin but I'd recc the Ultra-Light!

I bought this primer after having zero luck at Sephora. I couldn't find anything that didn't break me out or make my skin overly greasy. This was only $8 so I figured why not? So glad I decided to give it a chance. It makes my skin feel so smooth and silky before putting on my foundation and doesn't have any overly strong smell like so many primers do, a pet peeve of mine. It gives just enough brightness without making your face overly sparkly and works well with a matte foundation.
