I love this foundation. I have been using this for years. It stays on all day in hot and humid weather. It doesn't settle in my fine lines and yucky spots. I would recommend this and will buy this again. I have used EVERY foundation on the market and this I always come back too.
One of the few foundations that works on my skin type and covers my imperfections.
It's a little bit heavy, but I have a lot of acne scars.
i love this foundation! its really good coverage! so amazing, but if i build it up to much it gets canky looking. and i dont like the packaging at all!
I've been a fan of Revlon Colorstay since it first appeared on the market years and years ago! I stopped using it for some years because my skin became increasingly oily and the old formulation just was not working with that. Fortunately, Revlon have now come out with formulation for oily skin with SPF and I love it! I'm the shade Cappuccino (NW45 MAC for reference) and its my go to for when I want full coverage without looking cakey. I especially love to use this foundation in cooler weather or for special occassions or when I just want to be glam! My next fave for the warmer, natural, everyday looks is definitely Revlon Nearly Naked in Cappuccino. Overall, this product is awesome and a mainstay!
AH I really... I mean really tried to like this product, because everyone seems to love it. I might try out some other Revlon foundation though.
PRO's
- Feels quite nice on skin
- Pleasant smell (I think they changed that)
- Medium coverage
CON's
- Oxidies on me >:(
- Can be hard to blend, must be quick
- Leaves my skin somewhat oily
- Not long lasting
- Can look a little cakey/flakey on dry spots

At first I was so excited to try this product because I have crazy oily skin, and other foundations I've tried either slide right off or oxidize into an orange colour. To start off the colour selection is horrible, the colours were either too grey looking or too pink. I have more yellow undertones.
It's really annoying how this foundation doesn't have a pump, and I would often pour out more than I need. The foundation formula was so hard to blend and would look super cakey with powder on top. It did stay on up to 6-7 hours and kept most of my oil at bay, but it's not really worth the money. It's pretty pricey considering it's a drugstore foundation. I've never really had sensitive or acne-prone skin, but this broke me out. After using it for 2 months, I started getting a lot more breakouts and little bumps all over my forehead. Won't be repurchasing again.

I've given this foundation numerous chances. I've probably bought it about 4 times, each time thinking that maybe I was doing something wrong, and my application skills have improved since the last time of purchase. But it's not me. This may have decent coverage, but it didn't even last all day on me. It looks too dry and cakey. And the packaging sucks! Too much comes out! It's too thick, as well. There's better.

Overall good product!
-good coverage
-photographs well (no flash problems)
-I apply it to my face in sections because it dries quickly.
-I find a little goes a long way, as using too much can look cakey.
-This product comes in two versions--for combination/oily and normal/dry skin. When I purchased this product, I didn't know about this; otherwise, I would have bought the normal/dry skin version, as I have normal skin.
Iīm one of those girls with mixed undertones that have a hard time finding the right color match: yellow based foundations are usually too yellow, and pink based f. are too pink.
For reference, Iīm close to mac nc20 (but of course itīs too yellow and I canīt use it, apart from mac foundations being too heavy and causing me breakouts). So Iīm delighted with this foundation in 150-buff, as itīs the closest to my skin tone I could ever find.
too my eye itīs a rather neutral light color, with only a litle bit of yellow.
Also the coverage is very good (hides acne discoloration very well), without looking heavy and itīs very longlasting. Itīs true it dries fast, but I donīt find it a problem: I aplly it section by section. Itīs easier to work with fingers tan with brush. It can be a bit drying, so I may try the normal skin version, next time. I just wish it had a pump.
So I really recomend that you give this a try, as it works better than many expensive foundations that Iīve tried.

Wow, I can't believe I'm just now discovering this foundation. It's perfect for my oil-slick skin and has yet to cause a breakout for me and I'm very acne-prone. The 24 claim of long-wear is totally bogus, but it does last through my 8 hours shift no problem! The formula doesn't oxidize or get shiny like the majority of DS foundations do on my skin so basically, I'm in love! It provides medium coverage (I like full coverage most days so I add concealer after applying it with a beauty blender). Some people claim it's cakey or has a mask-like effect which I haven't noticed, although it dries fast so you must work quickly before it sets. My only beef with colorstay is the horrible shade selection, mind you I have yellow-toned NC 20-25 skin but my closest loreal color match, sand beige, is too yellow bordering on having an olive undertone. I've noticed the color range is either too yellow or pink, there aren't any neutral tones which is a bummer. This would be a 5 lippy HG if only I could find my perfect shade, but if you have oily skin that resists foundation, you've gotta try it & you'll be amazed that skin can look this flawless:)
****EDIT 4/25/13: my skin has been breaking out in tiny bumps all over and I'm sad to say this foundation is the culprit...if you read the ingredients, salacylic acid is mentioned and I had no idea this contained SA, if I knew I wouldn't have bought it. My skin hates salacylic acid, but it may work for others who aren't sensitive to its ingredients. This is going right back to where I bought it for a refund!
