Bought it a while back and was not paying attention to its effectiveness in general. Then I sort of stopped the whole makeup routine thing because of laziness i think. I have recently picked up my old habits of makeup just to cover my dark under eye circles and some acne marks on my face. I digged this powder out and is very satisfied with its performance.
It provides a very light next to none coverage by itself. But it sets my bb cream with a true matte finish. It also lasts long enough that I hardly need to do touch ups during the day. Although, when I touch my forehead and nose area in the afternoon, my finger tips become somewhat shiny under indoor lights, however, upon close examination, my face is not shiny at all, maybe just has that dowey look.
It sticks to its promise that keeps my oil at bay for a long time. I need to clean the sponge quite often to keep it clean since it does not have a separate place away from the actually powder. I like the compact design in general. I think it is quite sleek and easy to carry. I really appreciate the mirrow inside. I will repurchase this when it runs out.

I am really sorry to let this powder go because I loved it until recently when I discovered that it's giving me black heads. Never had this problem until I started using this powder (I had moderate acne starting about 2 years ago, but that's hormonal.) so now I have black heads as well.
The reason I liked this Clinique powder because it gives a tiny amount of coverage, so that when I don't use foundation, just concealer, it makes my concealer blend into my skin really nicely. Depending on the oiliness of your skin, it gives about 2-3 hours of oil control before it starts showing a little shine ( I am moderately oily in the t-zone). I also liked the color 02 stay neutral and that the powder didn't break me out. So right now I am really disappointed that I have to let this one go; it worked really well for me..
I just bought Mac blot/pressed powder and i have to say it does control shine much better than the Clinique does. However, it does not have any coverage at all, so when I use my Double Wear concealer, the end result is not as flawless. So I also ordered Studio fix powder foundation by Mac (it hasn't arrived yet), but when I tried it at a Mac counter, I fell in love with the coverage and the way it looked. I wore it all day that day and it didn't break me out, so we will see when it is worn every day what happens. I probably write a review about that as well. My fingers are crossed, hope that combo will work out.
This did not help keep me matte and instead made me oilier and an hour later I looked like an oompa loompa because the powder oxidized on my skin.

I like this powder. It does a good job of evening out my complexion and minimizing the appearance of my pores. I use this on the mornings when I am running late for work but still need the appearance of having made an effort to look nice (front desk job).
It has yet to break me out and surprisingly (to me, anyways) does not settle in, or highlight my fine lines.
Yes, it IS exepensive and no, it will not actually conceal any blemishes.

I've been using this powder for about 2 years now and is still using it. It's very light, oil-free, and keeps my face matte up to an hour or two before I have to reapply it. I don't think it cause me any breakouts and that's the main reason I'm still using it. It does leave your face a little cakey but barely and another thing I don't like is I have to reapply this every hour or so throughout the day. Overall, I'm willing to continue buying this product since it's hard for me to find any powders that won't give me breakouts.

I HATE this. It made me even more oily and it made me breakout like CRAZY! I would not recommend this product to people with oily skin. I am going back to what i used before, Neutrogena.
CONS: this is such a standard/nothing special pressed powder; it doesn't do anything "special' to the overall look of your makeup; doesn't keep skin matte all day; it says it's oil free but eventually you will start to notice some shine in your normally oily areas, requiring touch up; there are much better quality powders at a much cheaper price. This is so average that I regret making this purchase; no SPF; gives a slight cakey/powdered look to your overall makeup so it's not really "sheer" as it says.
PROS: can't think of any.
@ $24.00 CDN b4 taxes, this is a total waste of money.

this product is just okay. not much different from any other pressed powder out there. easily comparable to a drugstore brand. isn't worth the $30 it costs.

i would say this product is a GARBAGE..
i live in a humid country in which they sell this powder for USD 35...
it doesnt control shine, in fact the blended face powder does much better job in controlling oil, and it cause my skin to itch..
color blending is bad as well..
try Bobbi brown sheer powder ...much better result!
im editing my old review after coming back to this product a few months later. im not really sure why i hated it so much, because i absolutely adore it now. i think i was applying wayyy too much because i was going through a look-so-matte-you-look-dead phase. now, its perfect to put over some liquid foundation. it lasts a long time, and gives a perfect, glowy matte finish. (:
