Gawd, I realized that I was using a product that I didn't check w/ mua first. :O the horror!!! So, here I am and I could have guessed that this "poo" was in fact "poo". I recently dyed my hair so I wanted a quick cheap color care shampoo. I was in a rush, opened the cap and took a whiff and thought "nice, in the cart you go." But, this just doesn't do a good job. I notice that my hair doesn't style as nice and my hair is quite dry. Also, like other reviewers, I did notice my hair falling out more than usual. For instance I can run my hand through my hair and about 5-10 strands will come out. I plan to stop using this NOW after using it for 3 days because I fear that my hair will become brassy over time (from other reviewers) and this is one of my biggest pet peeves I have about hair. To be honest, I haven't found a decent color care shampoo to date and I've tried some professional brands as well. The packaging is nice and you do get a lot of product for the price is just not worth the 4 bucks.
Nothing special about this shampoo. Its supposed to protect hair color for up to 40 washes but it left my fine, thick hair flat and unstylable so nothing would make me want to use it for that long. Also, I have to like the smell of my hair care products and this did nothing for me. I gave it a higher rating over the conditioner because no conditioner works with my hair however, though slightly more generous with this review, neither of these products are keepers for me.
I'm sad to see all the negative reviews - this is my HG shampoo, love this stuff! The scent is wonderful, for starters. It smells natural and yet not overpowering. My hair always smells amazing after I wash it with this. (My b/f will testify for this. :P )
You get a big bottle for a great price, it's readily available at any major retailer, and it does the job. It keeps my colour pretty vibrant as well, I do believe it's lasted longer with this (though I do dye my hair dark, I noticed a lot of people who said it turned them brassy were light shades). It cleans nicely, and really - the great smell, great price, great quantity, great clean - is really all I ask for. I have repurchased this several times and will continue to do so until I die (or it's discontinued, knock on wood).
I so wanted to love this produt and at first I did. But the longer i used it the brassier my hair color became. Will not repurchase.
I wanted to love this product, since it's inexpensive, non-animal-tested and easily available. However, my normal-to-oily hair became extremely oily when I used this. I would wash my hair in the morning, and by night it looked like I hadn't washed my hair in three days. Not fun. This may be great for people with dry hair. I'll stick to Vo5 (same umbrella company, better product imo).
I've used this shampoo for a week now and it has turned my hair color brassy. I switched to Sheer blonde and my hair is back to it's normal color. Thank Goodness!
Oh man, I hated this. I really did.
First wash had my hair feeling fab, and tricked me into loving it, but the next few washes did nothing. My hair started looking like straw, and that's when the tremendous hair loss came in. All over my shirts, my bed sheets, pillows, and everywhere was just a hairy mess! If I gave my hair a light tug, the strands would come falling out.
I really like the Color Revitalize shampoo. First of all, you get a giant bottle for around 3 or 4 bucks. It's a clear formula so it won't weigh hair down, and it leaves it really smooth with no frizz. I color my hair every 3 months, and since I've used this I've noticed my hair stays a little more vibrant than usual. It also smells really good! Like pears or something.
smell nice, worth the price as it came with HUGE bottle
