This is a very heavily fragranced, but quite well moisturizing body lotion that feels comfortable on the skin. I'll be carrying the travel-sized bottle in my gym bag and using it up after showering, but after that I won't be purchasing, because the scent is just too strong for me.

I got a friend to pick this up for me because we don't have a BS around here anywhere. The smell is really good, kind of nutty. Smooths on nicely and feels moisturizing, but if I use it on my dry hands it doesn't quite feel thick enough.
The other day though I realized it did smell a little bit like something a guy would wear, which turned me off. Oh welll it's still nice.
I loooove this body lotion!! It's a bit difficult to apply (doesn't spread out very easily) but god, how I love the smell!! And it leaves the skin ultra soft!! Not very long lasting though
This product worked pretty well for me. The scent is very nice, but a bit strong. I use this on my very dry legs and they become hydrated, however it isn't SUPER moisturizing. On the other hand, it absorbs very well and makes my skin soft to the touch. I would definitely buy this product again!
Got a free sample of this from a TBS promo around the holidays, used it at work after washing my hands. Nice consistency, pretty light yet emollient. The smell to me is very masculine and rich -- smells like a very expensive men's cologne. Pretty strong too! Definitely wouldn't use this all over my body for that reason alone. As a moisturizer, it's non-greasy and absorbs quickly, but it's not super-moisturizing. Wouldn't buy the full-size, and I don't think I'd recommend it to people with super-dry, chapped hands.
I've always loved the Shea lotion, but I was surprised to see a Shea Whip on the store a few days ago. It's so light and it gets absorbed easily. I love it! I'm sticking to this instead of the body butter (which is so thick). The best lotion from TBS yet!
I don't like The Body Shop's body butters because they leave my skin feeling too greasy. This body lotion works perfectly for me instead. The scent is long-lasting but not overpowering. It's a really warm, comforting scent. It absorbs well but you have to use it sparsely... I have found that if I try to rub in too much it gets a little 'gunky.' But I love the pump dispenser and if I use just one pump on each arm it's the perfect amount. My only problem with the packaging is that as the level of lotion in the bottle decreases, some of lotion clings to the inside of the bottle. It looks a little messy and if I can't get it off the sides of the bottle then that is wasted product. Otherwise, I love everything about this lotion and will definitely repurchase.
I got this as a gift from my best friend and decided to try it despite the fact I have a HG moisturizer already (Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Lotion). I discovered quickly that this hydrates very well and spreads easily on the skin. And my skin is incredibly soft when I use it. On that basis alone I think this deserves the 4 lippies I awarded it.
What really bothers me is the smell. It's almost a foodie smell, kind of nutty. I am not into foodie smells so this kind of turns me off. It's not a bad smell, just not my thing. And I get whiffs of this throughout the day. Sometimes when I have this on I think I might smell like I spilled hazelnut coffee on myself. And so I find myself sort of counting the days (and I think it will take me at least a month to get through this) until I can go back to my beloved Gold Bond.
UPDATE: This really is a great moisturizer, but I need to go back to my Gold Bond...just miss it too much!
Ok, some history. I used to use TBS body butters religiously, but got annoyed at having to wet my skin in order to spread them around so I started trying out all sorts of new lotions. My skin became less soft and I got "chicken skin" bumps on my arms.
I recently decided to try getting back into the TBS butters to see if my skin would behave better. The SA recommended the Shea Whip, saying it was like butter in a pump, like frosting. Sounded good, and it smelled great too, so I figured I'd try it. I told her how i had developed the bumps and she said that a lot of women get them and that she had done some research and found out that you could exfoliate and lessen them, but never actually get rid of them.
Ok, so 3 days into using this Shea Whip, my chicken skin is gone. My skin feels so much softer and smoother and less itchy. And it spreads around easily, even on dry skin. It does have a strong fragrance at first, but it's relatively neutral so I'm ok with it. It's positively wonderful for all day moisture on hands as well. I'm LOVING it and can't forsee discontinuing using it any time soon!! New HG!!!
