I have this blush along with a few others form NARS. Im AA and this is the perfect peachy color on my skin. Absolutely no chalkiness. NARS blushes have rarely let me down. The texture and pigmentation makes them very easy to work with. I would repurchase. Swatches in my profile.
Gilda is a matte coral-orange colour blush, highly pigmented and easy to apply. I often find it too pigmented and have to apply it with a REALLY lighthand, so it's a bit hard to handle, especially when I have medium pale skin (NW20). Perhaps it works better on medium-tan skin. For a coral colour I might like MAC Melba more than this. It does not make my skin yellowish though, it makes me look healthy and 'wake-up'. Also, needless to say,it's NARS so the powder is really fine with strong staying power. But still, I don't think I will buy it again as it is too bright so I don't want to use it every day to work.
I LOVE NARS blushes. Wish they weren't so expensive, but whenever I bite the bullet and buy one, it always pays off. However, Gilda is by far my favorite blush...EVER. I've tried tons of MAC blushes, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, everything. Nothing ever looked *perfect*. Gilda just gives me the most perfect, buildable flush. It's kind of a coral-y medium pink, which goes perfectly with my NC30-35 skin. I wouldn't recommend this to people with blue undertones, because it is a very warm pink. It goes really well with my golden undertones. It is matte, which I like because shimmer in blushes always seems cheap-looking to me. However, it doesn't look cakey or flat. It can be intensified, from a light, natural application to a heavier finish. It's the first blush that I use daily, and never want to stop using. It's also lasted a long time-haven't even hit pan.
I LOVE THIS BLUSH.
Love, Love, Love this blush! It is the perfect peachy pink matte blush. My favorite blush used to be mac melba but unfortunately i smashed it, since then I've been on the hunt for a similar color but in a smoother formula. I definitely found that with Gilda. While its expensive I think its worth the price
This is my favourite blusher. It's perfect for olive skin tones (specifically NC25-NC30). When I walked to the counter at Selfridges, the girl was North African (and I'm Middle Eastern). It took her about 5 seconds to pick out Gilda and took me about 5 seconds to say 'I'll take it". It's such a gorgeous coral, and, as with all NARS blushers, lasts a long time. Definitely recommend this for Mediterranean, North African and Middle Eastern girls!
I have a fair skin with a pink undertone and this blush is lovely on me. It does have a good colour pay off so you don't need much and the colour doesn't fade through out the day. This blush works particularly well on me when I am wearing a red or orange lipstick with minimal makeup on my eyes and when I am summer bronzed.
I was recommended this colour by the makeup artist at Holt Renfrew. She went as far as to re-do my entire face, using several products and finishing off with this blush. I've been meaning to find a non-shimmery version of torrid, my first fav NARS blush and this is it!!! I can wear it daily to work which is what I wanted.
a bit too bright orange and bright for my NC25 skin, but is still got good colour pay off, it lasts a lot longer than orgasm, guess because its much brighter and I could see it for longer. and I learnt to be very handed with this very quickly, otherwise it gives a clown appearance on me.
I absolutely LOVE this blush. It is the perfect not-shimmery coral that looks amazing on lots of skintones. HG!
My blush HG...i can't get enough of this orange/pink blush. It is almost a terra cotta color but not! It is hard to describe but it looks AMAZING on the cheeks. I need many pans for backup..i love it. One of my favorite NARS items of all times! Try it!
