I live in New Zealand, where for the price of a high end product in the USA, you could get your typical maybelline or revlon product for the same price in New Zealand. I opt to shopping online from USA sites for makeup, because its cheaper, not minding that I have to pay a few dollars extra for shipping and waiting bit longer for my product. Usually I do my research on a product before shelling out and buying it, but I added this to my beautyjoint cart on a whim.
When I first tried out this product, I thought it was alright. A bit on the dark side for my fair skin tone, but I knew in a couple months in the spring time I would tan up and it would match nicely, I still continued to use it with a matching powder so it wasnt overly obvious.
I used this as an under eye concealer and on my blemishes, and in under an hour it had faded and I looked like a pizza zombie all over again.
The packaging isnt very nice, the stickers are peeling off and the tube is sticky, it has no lasting power whatsoever, its too dark on me (my fault though), but it lasted quite a while.
I was very impressed with the Wake Me Up foundation but the concealer just didnt do it for me
The coverage of dark circles of this product are very good, but you have to reapply it about every few hours so I recommend bringing in your bag. Lighter colours are always best for under-eye concealers, as they make you look more awake, but this concealer would have done it anyway as it's very bright and makes your eyes pop. However, I have given it 3 out of 5 because of the time it stays on.
I also found that the packaging was very poor, and I don't know if it was just mine, but the stickers had all peeled off making the packaging look grey, and it's forever sticky now, and the lip-gloss styled applyer is loose.
Overall, I would buy this product again.
Definitely NOT the best concealer ever. I'm disappointed in the misleading reviews for this. I paid plenty of shipping because I bought it from the UK (I don't believe it's sold in the US?); I was so excited to try it out based on all the glowing reviews.
It is long lasting. Coverage is medium at best. Color selection isn't bad. Maybe it was all in my head, but I thought I experienced a slight burning (an irritating ingredient, perhaps?).
More importantly, just like the reviewer below me, this concealer made my undereyes look 'crepey'. This is absolutely unacceptable as I'm only in my 20s. I saw fine lines I never knew existed before. It honestly aged my undereye area about 10 years. If it weren't for this fault, I might appreciate it more, but alas...
I have fair skin, and the lightest color of this concealer still look yellowish on me. but the thing I mostly don't like is that it makes the fine lines under my eyes look more obvious whenever I put it on.
BEST CONCEALER EVER.
I Love this so much! I have been having a hard time picking the right Foundation shade for me and it would always turn out to be too dark or too light. I found this at Big Kmart for $5 I think and I got the Medium Shade that has a Yellow Undertone. It's perfect for me! It blends very well into my skin, it hides my dark spots and it looks natural looking on me! I don't wear Foundation anymore all I have on is this Concealer and then I set it with Rimmel Stay Matte Powder which is also one of my Favorites from Rimmel London. I like the Wand it doesn't break easily and the Price is awesome. It's Cheap but it's definitely worth it. I would DEFINITELY buy it again.
Since my maybelline instant age rewind concealer is very light and unnatural looking, I use this on top. The duo perform well together! Alone though, it gives a good amount of coverage. Have repurchased twice.
Although this is one of the most raved about products on youtube, which I do partly agree with; it has it's down falls for instant if I have a spot on my forehead I put a small dab on and try and blend and unfortunately for me it doesn't blend on my forehead very well. I do however like it for dark under eye circles it does work well for this.
I use (and love) this stuff as an undereye brightener, so I won't be commenting on its effectiveness at covering up blemishes or redness.
I have dark purple circles under my eyes that I've never been able to completely cover, but using this alongside another concealer (Collection 2000 - Lasting Perfection) I've almost got them beat!
I put this on underneath my regular concealer and it brightens and corrects my circles a significant amount. It's quite yellow (cancels out the purple) and has a tiny bit of shimmer to reflect the light which helps a lot! It has a screw top doe foot applicator and is quite liquid-y which makes it very easy to apply and blend in.
It's also pretty cheap! I think I got mine for around £5 at Boots (without taking into account the offers they always have on everything) which I gladly pay as this stuff has replaced my much more expensive Bobbi Brown corrector! (also: I have the lightest colour of this - Ivory I think? - and used Porcelain Bisque in the BB, jsyk.)
I would definitely recommend trying this and I will be buying it again and again :)
I'm in love with this concealer. I've used quite a few high end concealers, most of which I hate, and a few drug store concealers, also most of which I hate so I wasn't very hopeful that this would be any better. I was expecting it to cake up, cause my mascara to smudge beneath my eyes and slide right off my imperfections but it didn't. It blends well, dries well, lasts all day and stays in place. It does a very good job of hiding the slight darkness under my eyes and reducing redness from the occasional zit. The coverage I would consider medium so I don't know how well this would work for someone with substantial dark circles or blemishes but if you're like me and only have slight imperfections to hide you will probably love this concealer. The fact that it's extremely affordable and easily accessible is a huge bonus.
I bought this concealer with the intention of using under my eyes and as a highlighter only (not for blemishes). It works really well for those purposes but I don't think it would work so well on blemishes.
The formula is a thin liquid formula (not so much that its runny) that blends out really well. It has a sheen to it which is great for brightening up under the eyes, and adding a very natural highlight to your skin. I don't have really bad eye bags so this alone is enough for me but if you have very dark circles then you will probably need to layer up. It also doesn't have too much white in it so it doesn't give you that weird overly white undereye look. Its light enough to look like your skin but better.
I think you would need a thicker, more opaque and probably drier concealer for concealing blemishes so I wouldn't recomment this for those purposes. I think the brightening feature of this concealer would also not be a good look on a blemish.
The packaging is nothing out of the ordinary - it looks like a drugstore product. It has a doe foot applicator which is nothing fancy but it does the job. I actually prefer it in this lip gloss type of tube because I don't have to mess around with those twist pens that never dispense properly.
The best part about this is the price. I think I paid 7$ for it, and it comes with a lot of product (7ml if I'm not mistaken) vs (example) Maybelline Dream Lumi which has 1.5ml. Overall, I'm really pleased with this product and will continue to purchase.
