I am really happy with this so far, as for how it works. I bought the starter kit at sephora for $32, which is actually a much better deal, ounce-per-ounce, than buying all three products separately. Its a cleanser, serum, and moisturizer, and they all contain salicylic acid. the cleanser is a pearly-colored gel, and smells a little like eucalyptus. foams well, rinses off very well, doesnt leave my skin tight or dry! the serum is a thin clear gel, sometimes runs out of the tube too quickly. the moisturizer also smells like eucalyptus, and is nice and light. The moisturizer does ball up though. I solved this by using another moisturizer on top (Kinerase cream), and that works really well for my foundation. Been using it about a week and my skin is actually a bit clearer! I get acne on my cheeks mostly, and have a lot of red scarring spots there too. the serum is supposed to lighten them, and I think its already worked a little. my skin does look less red. also, my skin is not dry at all, it feels very comfortable. I have used proactiv and murad kits in the past.. and proactiv would work but would dry my skin, and stop working after a while... murad completely did NOT work and made my skin a mess after a week. but this kit from Bliss is gentle and it works. its actually reasonably priced! especially for a bliss product. I will update in a few weeks... *******update 5/26/11*********** I stopped using the serum and moisturizer, and now only use the cleanser. but I used up two of the kits before realizing I was only interested in the cleanser. the moisturizer balled up too much and I dont think the serum made enough difference to keep on using it. the cleanser however is awesome. I use it with kinerase cream, and the ANSR light therapy device and my skin is the clearest its been in years! the full size cleanser is 4.2oz and costs $22, which isnt terrible, considering its Bliss, and you only need a small amount.

Too drying on my combination skin. Felt like I was much less oily- did not need more than one oil-blotting sheet daily. But, ultimately too drying, causing my skin to peel, flake, and break out.

I don't know why but the middle step was unnecessary for me it even broke me out in the beginning so I stopped using the serum and just use the cleanser and moisturizer now. I've been using many acne products and this is the only one that worked. I've tried; proactive, clinique...etc...Because my face was never free of acne I was always complaining and my mom being the helpful person she is bought this for me to try. I just loved it right from the very start! I can walk out now without any make up and feel confident. Sure...there are times that I complain about how drying it can be...but with a good moisturizer my skin is amazing...even my roommate's jealous! Haha well, If anyone knows how my skin has been it's her I've known her for 3 years and she said that after I start using this product my face became so much better! I'm a little surprised at the low ratings but hey, maybe I'm just lucky. Small problem though, I can't buy it in stores in Canada so I ask my mom to get one of each cleanser and moiturizer when she comes to visit from the states : )

I liked this product because it helped remove most of my eye makeup and did not leave my skin tight and drying. However, after using this set for about a week, my skin went crazy with bumps all over. I have mild acne and I wanted to try a kit so a SA recommended this. My skin before using this set was relatively clear with a few small pimples here and there. Besides that, it was pretty smooth when I washed my face. Then after trying the kit my skin started going crazy and there were little non visible bumps covering my cheeks and forehead. I stopped immediately and returned it. Also, the cleanser was kind of watery and so every time I opened the cap, some of the product would be dripping out or a bunch would be stuck on the cap, which I thought was wasteful. The serum absorbed very quickly so I had to spread it around my skin immediately or else I would have to use more product for that area. It's been a couple days after I stopped using the Sherlock set and I'll have to say it kind of ruined my skin for a bit. Now my cheeks are a bit rough and my cheeks are visibly red with a bunch of pimples.Definitely not going to purchase this again.

I was hardcore trying everything possible to clear up my acne. I was breaking out mainly along my eyebrow area and on my forehead for MONTHS. I tried Peter Thomas Roth, Murad, Boscia, and a multitude of other lines. I also tried the Clinique Acne system which took my skin into havoc mode, and I don't really have that sensitive of skin. The day this hit shelves I bought it (I work at Sephora so I get to see everything new every day lol). Within the first week all of my acne was healing and or gone. No new break outs for weeks. The one few days I didn't have this system because I ran out I started breaking out again, in the exact same areas. This so far has been a miracle product for me and I recommend it to anyone with clogged pores, oily skin, and breakouts!

I have only been using this product for a week, so I will definitely update this review, but I was so excited about whats happened to my face since using this product that I wanted to write something now. First of all, EVERYTHING breaks my skin out, so I was hesitant to use this. However, my esthetician recommended it after I got a microderm facial and I love it. The cleanser/toner smells divine and does a great job cleansing; the serum, although gooey, disappears into the skin and has dried up my remaining acne. and the oil free moisturizer is light and hydrating. No new breakouts yet and in fact, my skin looks clearer and feels great. I will continue with the system and my microderm for the next few months and see how it goes.

All I can say is wow and double wow! I have stubborn acne that won't go away no matter what I try. I have great cosmetics that cover up the problem very well, and give the illusion of perfect skin, but it's only an illusion. I was getting extremely frustrated. Even light therapy wasn't doing much anymore. I am highly allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide and have ultra sensitive skin. Most products burn and only make matters worse. Not only that, but after using Differin gel for 6 months, it left my skin in a permanent, highly sensitive state where even most Salicylic Acid treatments now cause me problems! I am unable to take the pill or Accutane, I was running out of options. I can't believe that I went through my teen years with beautiful skin only to end up as an adult with something that should be long gone by now! I hate you hormones!I have tried almost every acne product or acne system you can think of. I've spent a small fortune on them only to be left disappointed each and every time. I've tried every gadget out there too. I recently tried Clinique's acne soap and matching toner and found that simple system to be surprisingly effective (helped to get rid of some of the acne), but this blows everything I've ever used or tried away! I almost didn't bother because Bliss products don't usually impress me very much. They always end up being very gimmicky and seem to do nothing for me. I decided to give it a try because the reviews at Sephora are through the roof positive. I also liked the ingredients and thought what the heck. It's Sephora. If I am not happy, I just return it no problem.I bought this whole kit for less than $35.00 (quite a bargain if you ask me)! You get all three products and unlike most systems I've tried, each product is wonderful in it's own way! Now I must admit, I still love Clinque's acne soap and refuse to give it up (I wash with that first as I love the extreme lather and clean feeling it gives my skin). It's also extremely gentle and gives me a nice clean start before I begin with these products. The Cleanser/Toner is absolutely wonderful and left my skin soft, clean and pore free! I was stunned to see that from just a cleanser/toner! No redness at all either! I dried my face and immediately put on a layer of the serum. I was already smiling because unlike so many greasy or creamy treatments I have tried in the past, this is a very clean feeling gel. It goes on very smoothly and feels extremely clean. Best of all, none of these products have much of a scent. What I smell is a very light, almost undetectable, clean, antiseptic scent, which is what I always loved about Clinique's skin care products. A very clean and pure scent (and I am super sensitive to scents and this one is barely even there). No heavy scents or perfumes or florals or any of that junk. You just smell clean.I felt my face after it dried and am happy to report to all my fellow oily skin survivors out there, no nasty slip at all! None! My skin still felt matte, comfortable and clean. I could almost feel this stuff go to work and my face was only slightly pink (and I mean slightly). No rash or notable redness at all. I was afraid to try the moisturizer that comes with it (and the final step in the system) because not one moisturizer I have ever tried has brought me anything but pain. They always make my face feel like it does naturally by the end of the day and that's not how I want to start my day! My face makes enough oil all on it's own! Because I read so many great things about it, I thought I might as well (and after all, it does say that it's an oil controlling moisturizer, which is also medicated). I was blown away! Now this one did give me a tingling sensation that seemed to slightly burn, but it was very brief and went away (and of course you don't need to use all three products as the first two seem to be perfect on their own). The moisturizer is like no other I have ever tried in my life. You can actually feel it going to work on your pores and acne, but the best part is that my skin was still matte and shine free FIVE HOURS LATER! Nothing I have ever tried has ever been able to do that! I could hardly believe it! My skin looked matte and clean and felt that way even when I touched my face!My skin is improving dramatically with this system! I am really blown away here! The only downside is that I would not recommend that you use this under your make up. Just like their Thinny Thin Chin stuff, it balls up a little and flakes away (and I believe that's purely due to the moisturizer as that did not happen using the first two products in the system). You could use the toner/cleanser and the serum and try it, but if you also use the moisturizer under your make up, you will probably have some flaking. I use this system only at night when I get home. I also use it on the weekends during the day and night. The cherry on the sundae for me is that this is actually calming my sensitive skin down as well as clearing up my acne! I am incredibly impressed (I think it's the probiotics they use in all three products)! It knocks out all the bacteria on your skin in a very gentle way. When I run out of the kit sized tubes, I am going to buy the regular sizes of all three products. Love love love love!Editing to say that although this system is indeed impressive, I think it may be too much for my sensitive skin. I began to break out more and my face was starting to get red a lot. Now understand that I do have super sensitive skin. This may be perfect for others who are using other stronger systems that are not working for them. I may build up to using this again, but for now I am back to my trusty Clinique acne soap and matching acne toner. That seems to do a pretty good job without causing me any irritation (although I use the toner at night only). Definitely worth trying though. continued >>
