This did NOTHING for my skin. It was like just using water. I've read that it isn't much use in an extremely dry climate. There is no moisture in the air to draw into the skin. Total waste of money for me.
I truly love this product, and I will keep buying it again and again and again.
To start off, I have very sensitive combination skin, dry on the inside, and extremely oily on the surface, and I also have eczema. I love how this product just sinks right into the skin, and makes it feel fresh! It's perfect for my skin type, because I desperately need moisture, but need something that controls the oil, or at least doesn't aggravate it. I need around 3-4 drops for my face, because I feel like I need it to be heavier. 1-2 drops feels like it just disappears...
This helps with oil control SO much I am not kidding. I used to have to blot my skin within the hour of leaving the house, but instead of having a face so oily that I feel like I'm perpetually wearing a mask, I now have a normal skin texture. It's still oily, and I do need to blot once in a while, but it has improved dramatically. I've only been using this for 2 weeks, but I can feel my skin improving already.
I also use it for the eczema spots on my body before moisturising, and it's great for that too! Makes the skin feel so smooth and definitely helps to soothe the skin. My lotion is finishing really fast though, because I use it everywhere...
Packaging is good, nothing fancy. I dropped it the other day when the cap was open, and I was terrified the whole thing would break off but it hasn't! It's just dented and I have to be careful when I close it, so I think the packaging is pretty darn strong! Price wise, it's also very affordable.
This has made me go out and buy the Perfect Gel and Hydrating Mask, both are also fantastic, and I'm planning to try the others too. Would definitely recommend this to my friends.
My skin: some redness around nose and cheeks, a little oily in the t-zone, normal/dry cheeks, rarely get pimples but plenty of blackheads in the t-zone
This product: Love! It's like the skincare equivalent of highlighter. Gives my skin a nice glowy freshness, and makes my face so soft. I've noticed that a lot of the blackheads in my t-zone have loosed up. My whole face (even oily t-zone) feels distinctly drier when I forget to use this. For my redness, it's not a miracle worker (nothing is, I've found) but I do notice a slight improvement.
The first time I ever used this, I was sooo confused by the good reviews. I put 5 or 6 drops in my palm and applied it like a serum, and my face was totally shiny and felt sticky. Everyday I would use a little less and started to like it more and more... now I've found that 1 drop, rubbed between palms and patted onto my face is plenty for daytime. I use 2 drops at night, since I don't care about the extra shine and I wake up with cheeks like a baby's butt!
It's true! One drop really locks up the whole ocean. Seriously a tiny little drop is enough for your whole face. It is not really a toner that removes the dirty impurities that a cleanser cannot remove, it is more like a moisturising 'moisturiser' you pat on your face. I usually just keep patting it around my face until everything goes into the pores, your face will then be super soft after that.
Only gave it three stars because it does not do what toners usually do... although, your face do glow after using it. It does a little bit of work controlling the excess oil on your face, and the packaging is fine, plastic bottle just like any other japan toners. I don't recommend this to teenagers, it would be better to use other drugstore brands (e.g Nivea, Garnier, Simple).
I'm almost finished with my first bottle of this and let me tell you- it lasts FOREVER as I only use 1 or 2 drops twice a day after a shower. My skin gets super oily as it is so so humid here and the Hada Labo lotion kinda slows down the speed of oil secretion on my face. Easy to use, just drip 2 droplets out on your palms, rub em together and pat on your face till dry. Feels a little sticky at first but when it dries it really moisturizes well. Don't know if I would repurchase though, not my HG.
Well, I'm blessed with skin that seldom has pimples. That is, until I used this. I had many little bumps appearing on my face. And obviously after one month of stubborn trying, I stopped. Within a week, my skin cleared up. No way. No more hada labo for me. I'm combi skin, mid 30s, humid climate.
This is part of my current HG face routine! I tried some samples of this and was so pleased with the results that I got the whole hada labo set. I like that this seems to make my pores smaller (or at least appear smaller) and it feels very hydrating on my face. I have no acne and seldom get break outs and this made my face seem "clearer" if that makes any sense. It also makes my face more supple.
The price is great for this product, since it does what it claims and is still affordable.
When I first started using it, it took FOREVER to set into my face. But after a few months, it sets into my face much faster now. The trick is to use less (obviously) - about 3 drops is enough - and pat it into your face and keep patting until its mostly absorbed. It also helps if you put this on as soon as you can after cleansing (so your pores are still open). Love it!! Don't think I will ever stop using this brand, will definitely repurchase.
Definitely not a product I'd ever buy again.
When I used the older version, my skin would break out in pimples after applying more than 1 drop of it. The same occurred for the newer version.
Anyways, it probably will work for you as long as you don't live in places/countries with high humidity. In such places, I heard the humidity traps the moisture on your skin and so, your face can't breathe. Not sure how true this is, though! It might've more to do with my skin being ultra oily.
I love this product! It work well with my skin. It gives me dewy finish, so i dont think it's suitable for people with oily skin. but If u have dry skin, i recommend u to try this product. Repurchase of course :)
I would give this product maybe a 3.5. I bought it expecting that it would magically help my dry skin and get rid of the redness. Unfortunately it didn't but it is still a decent moisturiser.
It's a watery clear liquid and the consistency of it is a bit strange since it feels a little slimy in my opinion but that doesn't bother me too much. What I also like about it is that it is fragrance, colorant and mineral oil free, which makes it perfectly suitable for sensitive skin. It moisturises my skin leaving it look like it's naturally hydrated but unfortunately that's just not enough for my skin during winter as it will get dry again quite quickly again in the cold. However my skin does feel softer after using it.
I guess I have to try out this product again when it's warmer and when my skin is less irritated by the cold and I will update my review.
I recommend this product for those you have already good skin or only have minor dryness issues.
