Got this item on sale. It doesn't go smooth on my skin. I tried applying with fingers or sponge. Didn't work. The texture is a bit dry. I already prep my skin with primer or lotion. Still not satisfactory result.

Oh my. Well I absolutely LOVE the texture, amazing. I tend to be drawn to maybelline foundations because I am EXACTLY poercelain ivory. Exactly. The coverage is amazing, blends beautifully, and as long as your skin is flawlessly smooth, looks fantastic for about an hour. It doesn't wear well, and, while it upon application it is lovely and matte and soft, if you get oily at all through the day like most foundations it just accentuates that and creates a bizarre sheen. I'm disappointed, but still wear it for just a quick trip into town because it feels so damn nice. My rimmel cool matte still wins over this one simply due to it's longevity.

i loved this product when i first got it about 3 months ago. it used to spread easily and applying was a snap. also the glass jar is really cute. my face looked very smooth when i had it on. however, it has grown increasingly cakey and now my face looks REALLY oily and shiny with this product on, and my face broke out. and i'm not even an oily/sensitive skin type person normally. will not repurchase.

Firstly, this foundation was difficult to get out of the container.
Once you've got it out, you rub in on your skin and you get little rolls of foundation. Your next challenge is to try and blend them into your skin. Once that's all done, your skin looks quite nice .. for a while.
An hour or two later, you have dry, flaky, crusty patches, especially over your nose. My skin felt horribley dry, which is quite an accomplishment as I have very oily skin.
I suppose you get what you pay for though. Save your money and invest in something quality.

I love this product; it goes on well, it makes my face look flawless too! My only complaint is that it kinda makes my noise oily after a while, but that may also be because of my acne prone skin. I have not tried a foundation this good though. It feels so light weight and doesn't feel like im wearing anything at all.

It's an ok foundation...if you have near flawless skin. If you get any blemishes or skin that's abit dry in certain areas in cold seasons then it'll accentuate them (it accentuated small flakes that i never knew were there before i applied this!!) When you first apply, coverage is good but it'll seperate after a veryy short while and would be rubbish at covering anything unless you like the thick cakey look when you layer! It fades quickly and doesn't brighten the skin, infact it can make skin look dull. It mattifies it at first but is drying in winter and in other seasons could make your skin oily if you try and apply more than a layer of this. I would not even think of trying to use this in a hot summer! I can imagine it fading & melting away in no time and looking a complete cakey mess!! It'll look baad if you try to layer it!! Even when i get blemishes, my skin looks smoother and better without wearing this! Also the shade choices aren't that good either!! It's cheap yes but with this you get what you pay for! Only positives is it feels light, the mousse texture feels nice when you touch it and it's not as bad as the rimmel cool matte mousse foundation (though it's only JUST better) but other than that it's a pretty poor quality product and i won't be re-purchasing!
FYI: I'm 16, have very dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, combination medium toned skin with an olivey? undertone (i'm a mix of vietnamese and arabian if you can imagine what my skin colour looks like from that??lol) and i can tan easily in summer but my skin looks naturally alot lighter in winter but not exactly fair/pale! If it's hot i can get oily in summer but my skin is combi/normal in cold seasons and it's usually cooler as I live in the Uk lol.

I was seduced by the texture of this product, and also by the matte claim, which I figured would be perfect for my fairly oily skin. At first I bought the second shade, Cameo, which had too much of a pink undertone for my skin and was a little too pale. Next I bough Nude, which was pretty much perfect, although being a cheaper brand, some people will find the colour range limited.

By far the best bit of wearing this product is the application! It feels blissfully soft on both finger tips and skin. The coverage is quite nice although not very buildable as this would leave it looking thick and unnatural. It was indeed matte on every area of my face except my nose, Which has a natural shine to it and doesn't bother me too much - I only get irritated when the shine comes from excess oil. A nice thing about this product is the fact that it removes the need for powder and application is very quick and easy.

The reason I have only given this product 2 lippies is because it doesn't last on me at all. After a couple of hours most of it has slid off and the rest has settled in the creases around my nose, leaving me horribly shiny. I do not like having to touch up at all so this is a major drawback for me. Something just doesn't feel right about slapping more make up over old product and oil, it's disgusting. Mere blotting sheets could not save this one. Will not be repurchasing, although I'm not too miffed as it is cheap and I bought it on offer.

I have a dry sensitive skin. So it's not easy for me to find the right foundation. I've read the reviews here and then I think, why don't I give it a try? So I try and I didn't regret it. I found that the key to make it work is to give moisturizer before using it. After that, take a little scoop and rub it to your face. I use it like I'm painting. If the first layer doesn't suit me, add another layer. But don't put too much on your face.

when i first bought this i did not like it because it turned out i was using too much. If you use too much it will turn your skin a totally different color. Once i got the hang of it..i love it!! it covers great (esp. the under eye area), is smooth, and very light. You forget you're wearing makeup..and it doesnt rub off on clothes..thank god for that!!

I hate this product as a foundation. Love it as an undereye concealer. I have to admit that as a foundation, it covered flawlessly and was light. But it clogged my pores awfully and literally melted off in the heat and when I sweated. It accentuated any dry flakes, even the tiniest of tiny ones. Will not repurchase again.
