I really loved the way this product felt on my skin! It felt like whipped silk against my skin and the color I chose was a great match for my skin! I really do like the product, however I like a lighter more natural finish... If you use a foundation brush to apply the makeup, it is wonderful though! I would buy this again if I were on a tight budget.
It went on ok and looked nice, but then it yurned very greasy on me over the course of the day as well as left the light cast many on here mentioned. i tossed it.
The two lightest colors are waaaay too dark for anyone with really pale skin. I know Maybelline introduced lighter colors, but these are still too dark.
I absolutely love this foundation. It covers beautifully and gives your skin that "matte" glow look. The only complaint I would have about this is that it doesn't last long enough, (about half your day) and isnt good as a means of concealer for pimples.
The foundation dries very quickly as it goes on, and I find that it doesn't last that long throughout the day, even when I wear a primer underneath. It definitely makes my skin matte though, and it makes me more diligent about exfoliating and moisturizing.
gave me awful break outs, it dries out your skin and makes it all flaky... i will definitely not be buying this again.
i would buy this product again. i like the fact that it's cheap and for my oily skin, something like this is great. it comes on matte but it has this great texture.
the packaging is ok. i guess there wasn't any other choice but to put it in a pot. im just worried about bacterial growth.
you can use it as a concealer too.....
This is an example of marketing... The buzz caught on and people will wear it even if it's not that good. Just because there are a ton of women using it, does not make it good. This either dries out and cakes up on dry spots, or slides around on oily skin. You might have some good coverage for the first couple hours, but the jojoba oil in it makes it not hold up in the long term.
i was checking out the different foundation ranges available in superdrug the other day and noticed a big new sign over the dream matte mousse bit advertising two new light colours 004 and 006. id never tried this mousse foundation before but was intrigued by the fact they were introducing new lighter colours because im very pale and have difficulty finding a pale enough colour to match. 004 is called champagne but i forget what 006 is called but i think they-r one shade lighter and darker respectively than ivory005.
anyway i tried 004champagne. the colour actually looks darker when u have a splodge on your hand to the colour it becomes when u spread it out on your skin so dont be mislead, defintely test it out on your arm or something. i found 004 was a teeny bit too dark for me though not moticeably so. Application is very easy as the name suggests, you just put a bit of the mousse on your face and spread it out, quicker to apply than other foundations, not too messy either. Coverage is pretty good, i think u cud prob layer it more if u had a blemish or something u wanted to hide. i found it looked best on my cheeks but had problems where it looked flaky and dry on my nose. i guess u need to exfoliate regularly and make sure ur well moisturised before putting this on.
to sum up, id give it the thumbs up for its ease and speed of apllciation, as well as its cheap and ofter on offer. plus the colour range is a bit more accessible now. on the downside ur skin cant be at all flaky or dry when u use it cos it does quite show up. At the moment i cant decide whether i preder this or max factor miracle touch. i think id buy it either for everyday use or as a standby foundation.
Tried a demo of this in Porcelain Ivory in the store on the back of my hand and it blended perfectly and I loved the texture.
I use Bare Escentuals but use a liquid foundation under the powder so that it lasts me all day and I don't have to worry about touchups.
My skin is very sensitive and dry. After the first day of use my skin completely dried out and started flaking and breaking out, I even used a good moisturizer under it. I exfoliated and continued using the foundation and it kept drying out and made my skin look cakey during the day.
This is by far the worst foundation I have ever used and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
