Too fuzzy. That's the only applicable adjective I can think of to describe this stuff. It made my skin look linty. Good coverage, but not worth looking like a mountain man wearing a makeup beard. Oh, and I HATED having to stick my fingers in this jar of frosting. Unsanitary.

UPDATE:
Dry- blotchy- cakey. What happened? No matter how much primer I use- it misbehaves. The problem is when I get oily in the day I apply powder and it cakes up. But when my skin (cheeks) are dry- its looks terrible. Goodbye my dream matte... farewell... I will still use dreammatte eyeshadow and blush though!
I don't know how to begin this review because I have a severe LOVE/HATE relationship with this product. When my skin is acting properly on magical moments this foundation creates the most silky flawless finish I have found in any foundation- it rivals other medium-to full coverage ds foundations in its game like CG Aquasmooth, MF Panstick, Maybelline Silkysmooth etc etc... But it can turn fast on you and accentuate dry flakies like crazzzzy and become mask-like if youre not careful- Im a foundation-holic and sometimes I end up purchasing up to 2 new foundations a WEEK in attempt to find my movie-star flawless skin from high to low end and everything in between. But I love this little glass of mystery because its unpredictable when I wear it... Once I put it on and I looked truly flawless like a doll and the next day a dry crusty-skin corpse! hehehe.. My skin is average combo... oily in the T-zone and a little dry on my cheeks and around my hairline... I always exfoiliate and use plenty of oil-free moisturizers like crazy before I wear it too. Sometimes I use a vitamin serum to soften my skin before too. My nose gets oily in the afternoon but if I apply powder it sometimes causes the foundation to clump up and you get that "half-on half-off" foundation look. Blah! So careful when setting it with powder cause you risk the chance of it looking icky at the end of the day but if you dont apply powder- your skin will get oily faster and the foundation will start to slide off when you touch your face like others complain about... Its hard to win with this foundation! But I gave it a high review because it does have its moments of glory where I can look in the mirror and be veeerrryyy satisfied! I like the packaging too!
I had used this foundation sence it came out. But i recently changed to something else, and realized how bad it was. It shoewed off how dry my skin way, and made my acne way worse! NEVER buying agian.
I thought the texture to this foundation was kind of gross -- very oily/greasy, and it seemed to accentuate dry skin as well. Very strange. Must wear a good moisturizer if you're going to use this product!!!
I broke out (acne) more while I was using this product.
This product was fairly priced, okay for coverage (it had a sheen, translucency about it which I liked - it didn't go on thick and cakey)... it was good match for color (providing you blend it in well!), but it definitely would seem to "cake" around dry/blemished/uneven patches of skin..... that, and the oily texture were my only complaints.
Seems like a great product if you have nearly flawless skin ... but then why wear foundation at all?
I asked the sales rep, I checked with one of those 'find your skin tone' things and still my foundation was WAY too dark, get a shade lighter than what you think you need.... Textures nice and pot is pretty, I'd buy again IF it was on sale.
My skin is on the dry side, quite sensitive, and acne-prone. I did not find that this made me oily -or- accentuate my dry patches; in fact, I really like it! It is the only foundation I have actually gives coverage rather than 'evening out skin tone'-- I use it on days when my skin has been acting up and wants the coverage. I don't even have to use much concealer when I use it, even under my eyes, which is awesome. The color 010 Ivory is only very very slightly darker than my NC15 skin, which in a drugstore foundation is amazing. I can imagine that application with the fingers might be difficult, but I use a foundation brush and it works beautifully... I don't understand the reviewers that say foundation brushes don't work for this. The finish, especially right on application, is gorgeous, matte but not dry, almost suedelike. Rather sophisticated. I don't use powder over it, as it starts to look cakey when I do that and the foundation balls up a bit. The only issues I have are the slightlly-dark-for-the-pasty color, and the fact that the great look upon application wears unevenly during the day. The bulky packaging (hate all the needlessly heavy, bulky Dream Mousse packaging!) makes it less convenient to carry around during the day, but if you don't bring it for touchups, it will look blotchy by the time you get home. I suspect it clogs my pores when I use it a few days in a row, but I don't do this often. Still, for the coverage, finish, and low price, I'd repurchase.
I love this product so much. It is perfect if you have oily or dry skin. It is definitely the first foundation i can say i "love".
In my opinion, one of the best drug-store foundations you can get, especially if you have oily skin. I have very oily skin, and when I wear this mousse, my skin appears 'dewey' at worst, on photographs. When first applied, my skin looks so smooth and airbrushed, like I actually have great skin. This formulation is not oil-free, but I dont think its ever caused my acne-prone skin to break-out. I can wear this all day and it wont feel 'heavy' but it does tend to get a little shiny for me. The only reasons why i wouldnt repurchase this product is: (1) I can't find a shade that matches my NC35 skintone. I used 'sandy beige' which is too light (the darker shades appear orangey on my skin) and (2) I hate the little jar. It's unsanitary to keep sticking your fingers into it and using a brush is too awkward for this texture.

i've been buying this stuff for about two years. and one pot lasts me FOREVER! it's just the colors have horrible choices. I hate any foundation thats pink so I tend to buy yellow-ish. I forgot which one I bought but I'm lighter tone-d so I think I got Pure Beige, or Buff. I don't remember. But i've had these pots for forever. I use them for just about anything. I put on normal foundation then just add the maybelline on top, since the foundation is so darn thick! and i don't like looking that made up. I use it to cover under-eye circles, hide REALLY nasty looking pimples [ you don't know HOW many disguising pimples i've been able to disguise with this foundation. ], also minor redness, and little pimples, and acne scars. it hides it all. just don't load it up too much, because if you put ALOT on your finger and dab it in one spot until it's COMPLETELY covered it will get cakey and gross after about 3 hours. but otherwise it never cakes, lasts really long, and helps keep the tinted moisturizer i have on underneath stay put.
EDIIITTTT FEB29; I dropped this from my makeup routine due to everyday minerals. It covers great but in like 6hrs it CAKES up and like separates into these little lines of makeup. it was old too so I was getting cysts. What I did was I left it with the cap unscrewed on for a few days and the dream matte mouse gets a thicker, drier consistancy. Worked great! I just did it too many times with the same pot so I'm throwing it out of the 'emergency' case. I have another one with the same consistancy as the matte mouse you buy at the drugstore.
