This product tricked me into buying it; in the bottle it appears to be a a metallic purple but on the nail it appears much more navy with only the tiniest of red shimmer. However despite not being what I expected it's still a beautiful colour and i'm glad i've got it. It's great quality, highly pigmented and goes on smoothly and streak-free.
This is a beautiful nail polish color! It is multi-faceted, it's a deep, dark blue, that has flecks of red making it look kind of purple. I was at my friend's salon and picked it out haphazardly, and now I am in love with this color!
I just got this color at my salon on sale for $3.50 and had my pedicure done with this color. I really like it. It's a really pretty shimmery navy blue color with flecks of purple. It doesn't look too goth and is a fun color for the summer. Would be great in the fall/winter for nails. Of course it’s the great OPI quality we've all grown accustomed to.
EDIT: This is my all time favorite color from OPI. I just love it. I especially like it on my toes. Its such a gorg shade of navy.
Was looking for a nice alternative to the typical black nail, came up with navy and ended up with OPI's Russian Navy, which delivered more than I expected.
It's a complex color that is more than just a typical dark navy blue. It's a rich, deep navy with the finest red shimmer that really makes the color glimmer in the light, almost appearing as a shimmery dark purple at times.
I've gotten tons of comments/compliments on my nails whenever I wear this and it's my default color. A bit of a dark, enigma of a hue, classy.
On top of the ultra flattering shade, the wear of this polish lasts FOREVER. I wear a base coat, two coats of this polish (which will give you the perfect opaqueness-- you can even reach opaqueness with one coat in most cases), and a clear top coat and it will remain chipless for TWO WEEKS, no joke.
I have never gotten this kind of wear before where there are no chips or loss of luster but this polish does it. It stays pretty darn true.
If it does get a bit dull in a week or two, I find that swiping a coat of clear top coat jolts the color back to life!

This is what I wanted Chanel Blue Satin wanted to look like! True dark blue with little hints of purple!
This is a beautiful color. I wear all diff kinds of NP. This one is prob one of my favorites. Goes on nicely too. It looks super glossy even without a top coat. It is dark navy. If you want to go more blue/lighter- try the Yoga or mod bright blue. This is almost ink colored-dark navy blue.
I was disappointed in how dark this color is both indoors and outdoors, but everything else about it is great. Great formula, applied better than most OPIS, no streaks, opaque in 1-2 coats. I know that it's called navy, and it is a true navy, so I should have expected it to be dark but I guess I'm just not a fan of how similar it looks to black. It has gorgeous purple shimmer in it which you can sort of see outside but with two coats it was still pretty dark. In fact my SO thought it was black. :( I think I may just try Yoga-ta-get-this Blue instead.
I don't have much to add to everyone else's reviews. This navy is heavenly. Beautiful color and finish! I like to wear it once in a while in the cold months as that bit of surprise or unexpected item--not many old ladies like me wearing such trendy colors, but Russian Navy is too gorgeous to leave for the young'uns only.
Love it! Luckily I got this before the "craze" hit in my town. I love this color, it's so chic and tends to look black if there isn't too much light, but when light hits it, it looks beautiful! It's kind of a purpley navy with red shimmer in it, but you can barely see the shimmer so it doesn't look tacky. I love this blue so much... Unfortunately my bottle cracked and I almost cried because now the salon by me is out of it. Oh well, luckily it's almost summer so I'm over the navy nail thing for a while anyway. :)
I had been craving this color since OPI debuted their Russian Collection and I was really glad that they added it to their Classics. The ULTA I went to had these little "sample nails" of their colors that you could put onto your nail to see if it would match your skintone (or whatnot). On these plasticy-pieces, the color looked like a normal dark navy blue polish. Nice, but I can find a good navy blue polish for about $1 from the drugstore... why should I splurge on OPI? Well, ULTA was having a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale on OPI, so I figured I'd pick up a bottle! I was soo glad I did. I thought it would just be a normal deep navy blue with some shimmer to it. NOPE!! The blue is a deep inky indigo with RED shimmer, which makes it really unique and flashes brilliantly in the light (I switched this off with OPI's Siberian Nights which was chipping on me). SO PRETTY! It look a little purple, a little blue, a little indigo, and the red flecks to it just make it look really really pretty. Such a unique color. Definitely going to wear this color and repurchase again and again (although nail polishes always seem to last me a long time). I hope OPI never discontinues this color!!
