This is great as a makeup remover, takes everything off without much of a scrub. Great gentle cleanser, but don't expect it to help combat blemishes or problem skin, as it isn't formulated for that. I use this both with my clairsonic and on it's own, and it's just a great overall gentle cleanser/makeup remover. Very pricey

So many reviews on this product! It is obviously one of the best selling higher-priced cleansers available. I started using mine several months back and now I absolutely swear by it and have persuaded people to buy it based off how my skin looks! I was hesitant in the first couple of weeks because I broke out a little around the chin but my skin has been absolutely clear and smooth after those break outs healed up. My skin has never had a glow to it but now it does and I give a great deal of credit to this cleanser. Also love the purity makeup wipes! Becoming less and less concerned about being shielded with makeup when out in public. And I have the most sensitive troubled skin you could imagine.

I am not sure of I like this cleanser - even though I am trying so hard to like it! (purely as it costs so much). I used it many months ago when I first got it, but felt it was a bit drying. Got it back out recently as I am on my first week with my new Clarisonic Mia, but I am still on the fence about it. Not because of its cleansing abilities, as I use Dermalogica PreCleanse to take make up off (which is fab), but because I still find it a bit drying and seems to leave a slight film behind. I am also finding that my face has gone a bit redder in places too, but that could be my face adjusting to the Mia. I have ordered something else to use in its place just to see. So, for now, I am undecided :o/
I bought this problem in the beginning of winter thinking that it would help with the dryness I was experiencing but it actually left my face feeling tight. I didn't feel that it was gentle at all. I tried Origins cheeks and balances and found it to be the perfect face wash for me.

I bought this product because I was on the market for a new cleanser to use with my Clarisonic Mia. I wanted it to take off all my make-up and leave my skin smooth and soft.
Let me go ahead and say that this is a nice cleanser. However, I don't see anything "special" about it, or anything that would make it worth the high price. Yes, it takes off my make-up well but that's nothing special... I can find cleansers to do that for half the price. Also, it has a weird smell it to - like herbs, which isn't something I'd call "pure". I would have loved a floral or clean scent.
Also not a big fan of the bottle. I have a small travel size that I keep refilling from my large bottle because that thing is huge. Would have loved a pump on the 8oz bottle.
Overall, I would not repurchase this product. Yes, it's a nice cleanser but I feel like I can't justify the price for it. I can find so many more that do the same thing at the drugstore and there are too many products out there to just settle for this!
Phenomenal for my dry, sensitive skin. I can use it winter and summer (when I'm a little more oily) without my skin feeling too greasy or too dry. Just perfect, smooth, moisturized skin! I do need to use an oil-based makeup remover if I'm wearing heavy sunscreen or waterproof mascara, but otherwise I can't live without this stuff.
I've bought this product several times and the bottom line? It breaks me out, and I am not prone to breakouts.
The packaging is not great, I find that the top always breaks and forget about flying with it... not a good idea.
I find that you do get a lot of product for your money, and I do like the scent of it quite a bit. I felt that it cleansed without stripping, but apparently it wasn't cleansing enough.
As with most cleansers, YMMV, so give it a shot - it may work better for you.

I had this product before and it was OK (maybe 3 years ago). I got it again with the purchase of a clarisonic and I used it all (travel size) up. I didn't like it this time around because of the smell, and even though I have oily skin, it felt drying on my skin after using it. I didn't breakout while using it which is good, but there are more nice smelling, same price cleansers out there.

I really LOVE this cleanser. It has become my HG! I started with the small 3oz/$10.00. I use it twice a day and it works well with my combination skin. In the morning I’ll smooth it on my dry face and rub it around. After a few minutes, I add water to create a creamy lather and rinse off. It may not lather like you are used to, but that’s because it doesn’t have any added detergents to make the foam. At night, I wipe it off with a wet towel or use it with my Clarisonic to remove my makeup. I have sensitive skin with the occasional breakout and this cleanser has been gentle on my skin. Even though it has a few oils in the ingredients, it cleanses and moisturizes very well. I use a retinol/glycolic/HQ mix at night that leaves my skin really dry at times. Purity Made Simple cleans but does not strip my skin or irritate it…it leaves it soft and removes all of my makeup. I sometimes use witch hazel as a toner but it isn’t really necessary. I personally like the smell, not strong or even really that noticeable.
I definitely see this cleanser staying in my skin routine. I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about this product. Start with the smallest bottle and try it out for yourself. A little goes a long way. The larger sizes are more economical though but either way it’s money well spent!
