I've tried all cleansers under the sun. Nothing compares to Cetaphil. I just keep going back to this product.
It removes all of my make-up at the end of a long work day and preps my skin for my evening retin-a application.
It even doubles as a moisturiser, as I recently found out from my dermatologist.
Love this product.
Having tried 3 large jugs of this product, I feel like I can give this a proper review. I guess it took me so long to write a review because I was trying to decide whether I liked this product and if I should buy it again.
For reference, I have oily, acne-prone skin. This product does not dry out my skin, its really gentle and I feel like it's cleaning my skin...but it's not. I finally realized, sadly, that this product is clogging my pores. Whenever I start using this product again, I get little bumps all over my forehead and the side of my face. When I run out of this product and switch to something else, the bumps subside. As soon as I start again, the bumps return. I wasn't sure if it was the face wash or not...maybe it was my toner, maybe it was my moisturizer or sunscreen, but after using various combinations of different products, the common denominator throughout all my breakouts was the Cetaphil. It took me sort of an obscenely long time to realize this.
I really wanted to like this product because it's so gentle and doesn't irritate my skin, but the results don't lie. Sorry Cetaphil. It's been a good run.

After struggling to find a decent face wash (Olay products started to sting me, after years of faithful service)......I find it for just a few bucks at Walmart. Who knew?
This is perfect to use with my Clarisonic (have some DDC Olive wash coming for that too) or to was off the overnight greasies in the morning. This smells like BABIES (in a good way!) and is so gentle, it never leaves my face tight or dry. It also gets off all my makeup, which some folks have had problems with. Maybe I haven't learned to apply makeup fearlessly and don't put on very much LOL
Love this and will always use it as long as it continues to work so well!
This was recommended to me by a lady I used to work with, who is in her mid 60's with amazing skin. She said all she has ever used was Cetaphil and the Cetaphil lotion.
Pretty good cleanser for normal skin. I've been using this for about a year now. It removes all my makeup in one wash and helps keep my skin clear. I love the big pump it comes in and I have them in my shower and bathroom. Smells clean and not too strong. Nothing really special about this cleanser but it works for me so I've continued to repurchase! I still get the occasional pimple but I've never had a problem with acne. This is a staple in my skin care routine :)

Great gentle cleanser for acne. I love the feel of it on my skin and it never feels tight. I have been using this cleanser for years. It helped me to get rid of my cystic acne. This is not the best for taking off your makeup though..so I recommend you use a makeup remover before this to ensure that your skin is completely clean. Thumbs up to Cetaphil!

pro: very very gentle, very nice texture
con(a very big one): makes my skin flaky.
conclusion: would NOT use this ever again.
I use this after massaging olive oil on my face. It does a GREAT job taking it off. My face is left super clean. My skin is sensitive so I cant use this straight from the tube because it will overdry my skin. I use the EVOO as a buffer.
I think its too drying to use on its own so I wouldnt buy again

I recently bought this product and was pleasantly surprised. I was hesitant at first, because the bottle was not the most attractive, and the liquid did not have an awesome scent, but eventually I decided to pick Cetaphil over the teenybopper fruity cleansers. I'm glad I did! I have slightly oily skin with rough patches. This product made my skin feel nice and smooth and oil-free without the "tight" feeling I had with my old Neutrogena wash. Because I have never had acne problems, I only use it when my face feels "dirty" (maybe 3 times a week). I also really like the pump-style dispenser. My only (minor) cons were the lack of smell, and non-lathery feel. Overall, great product!
I have been using cetaphil's gentle skin cleanser for a good 6 months. I refuse to use anything but cetaphil products in the morning to wash my face not because i'm sensitive but because I don't need harsh products in the A.M. I need a gentle cleanse that will take off excess oils and control oil for the rest of the day.
I was RAVING about the Cetaphil Gentle Skin cleanser (i have a review on it), and i still agree with the statements i've made. It's such a great product.
BUT...
The summers where I live are HOT, sunny and really humid. The gentle skin cleanser didn't control oils well. For the winter, if you're outside a lot it is FABULOUS. But as soon as I started using the daily facial cleanser i was HOOKED. I gave my huge bottle of the gentle skin cleanser to my mom (who has dry sensitive skin) who also uses cetaphil.
I feel my skin is so clean and fresh in the mornings after I wash with this, and the smell I have come to LOVE. the first 2 or 3 days i used it the smell really bothered me and it stayed with me all day.. but now, i LOVE it and I can't even smell it anymore during the day.
This controls oils SO well and leaves my face matte for a good quarter of the day, which is rare for me. At the end of the day my face is not as greasy as it was with the gentle cleanser. I don't have acne but this has been making my skin look a lot more healthy and just overall clean.
I really recommend you give this a try unless your skin is very dry and sensitive or you're sensitive to fragrances/don't like them.
The gentle skin cleanser is absolutely amazing, but this is such a better fit for my skin. Overall, i'd recommend both. But now that i've tried this specific cleanser, I will NEVER look back.
