oh wow. i absoultutly love this product. it's perfect for a combo/oily acne-prone skin like mine. it leaves my face feeling smooth and hydrated. and the packaging is so easy to get the product out of the bottle. the only reason i gave 4 lippies is because the soap does not lather up as well as i would like it. but the cleanser it'self is wonderful. def. buy again.

While this is a very thorough face cleanser (no makeup, even heavy stage makeup was left on my face after washing) it's fairly drying to my combo skin. The bottle has a handy pump-lock thing so you can travel with it. All in all, I really liked it, but wouldn't buy it again because it stripped my face of more than makeup.

I'm suprised at the negative reviews of this cleanser. For me, I think it is loads better than the oil free acne wash that is so popular with skin docs. I use this once a day and it gets rid of all the dirt and grime on my skin. Not drying on my face at all...but then again, I have very oily skin to begin with. It's a good cleanser and a very good price as well.
Being an animal lover...I have to add this bit as well: although I do like this cleanser, I am constantly on the hunt for products from lines that do not test on animals. Animal cruelty is just unacceptable! Thus, I think this is the last (and only) bottle I would buy from them (until they eliminate animal testing, of course).

This is an average product. It's slippery and needs to be rinsed off thoroughly for a few times before it comes off. And the smell, it's like a weird chemical soapy smell. Not that I hate the smell, the whole product feels like some weak basic solution I use in labs. I'm not that fond of this product, cheap price, but very average quality.

I like this product. I've been only using it for a week and found less pimples and softer skin. For some reason it reminds me of dish soap. It comes in a pump bottle, with a gel like soap, smells good (to me anyways), and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean. I've definitely found that it leaves my face feeling cleaner than any other soap I have used. I don't find it drying at all either. I have combo, with a few patches of eczema. I'm starting to feel my skin to be a bit softer, which is great. Definitely a product I would buy again.

This is a really tacky cleanser, Im really not impressed with any of the products in the Deep Clean line. It seems Neutrogena promotes this cleanser the most (with all the celeberties) but the ironic thing is...its the worst Neutrogena cleanser. I like the fact that it has salicylic acid (BHA), but twice daily can be VERY overdrying (and I have oily skin and I am saying this). It also doesn't do much for acne, in fact I got acne from this because it dried out my skin, causing my skin to over-produce oil. Also it leaves a thin film over your face and DOES not remove makeup very well (dont even try using this as an eye makeup remover, your eyes and eye area will burn for hours on end). Can I say anything more bad about this...well, yeah...it has a horrid fragrance that reminds me of the doctor, thats not very pleasent. The bottle design is nice, so I gave it a lippie there, and the fact that it has salicylic acid is nice...but it doesn't do anything. Get the visibly even cleanser or fresh foaming cleanser instead. Those are very good Neutrogena cleansers.

LOVE this!! I use the tube version of this foaming cleanser and it is my HG!! My pimples are kept to a bare minimum and it doesn't overdry.

the tingle is from menthol and i don't think it serves any other purpose but to make you think the cleanser is "working." i've used this cleanser for years, and have never had a breakout. i find it removes MU (although you may want to use an eye MU remover). will continue to repurchase as i haven't found anything else that i like better.

I actually like this cleanser!! i have been using this for about a week and i really like it. It rinses off EASY and quickly.. unlike some cleansers where you have to keep rinsing your face cuz you feel the product STILL on your skin. I mix this with my other cleansers and it works quite well! =) But i have to admit that i TOO do not like the smell of this product haha

I have combination skin -- I get breakouts but most of my face is dry. I was looking for a product that wouldn't irritate or exacerbate the dryness, but that would help keep breakouts to a minimum. This stuff failed on all counts -- it worsened the dryness without reducing the breakouts at all...I'm pretty sure it made them worse (though that couldv'e been stress). I tried using it as a body wash, hoping that it would be better tolerated by the slightly-less-sensitive skin on my neck, back and chest, which also break out sometimes. But it even dried out those areas! I will definitely not repurchase.
