I had to get my makeup done for my brother's wedding and when the MA did my makeup she did not want to use Studio Fix since I do have good skin and really just need a light wash of color on my skin. The problem I really have is that I'm so light (sometimes NW15 is way to dark), well she tried this on me in light.


I was shocked at how light this was but still evened out my skin tone nicely, and was still light enough for my skin. While putting it on she taught me how to apply it with a foundation brush, and said that it does best applied a certain way.


Although there is a slight chemical type scent as others have pointed out, it is not worse than any other foundation and unless you are caking this on...which you should not be since it is a tinted moisturizer you should not be smelling it.


The staying power is amazing, I had mine applied with a light layer of powder and it stayed all day and all night. When I say it lasts, it does last...I had my makeup done at 11am, and went through wedding pictures, all the way through the reception and dancing all night. When I got home at the next morning it still looked as good as when it had been applied.


I normally hate tinted moisturizers, but this one really impressed me, and I think I'm going to be using this for now on.

Sorry to bring down the reviews, but this one was a letdown for me. The tube I got straight from a MAC store smelled off, and the smell didn't go away after rubbing it in. My boyfriend really didn't like the smell. The color medium sadly gives my face a weird undertone, so it's got pretty good color opacity for a tinted moisturizer, which can be a good thing for color correction, but a bad thing if your skintone is hard to match. It gives a nice, glowy finish, but it also has a tendency to slide. Another point off for containing harsh chemical sunscreens. Love the design of the squeeze tube, but I'll be staying away from MAC foundations for the foreseeable future.

I love this product!! It dries to a matte finish which I looove! I just put this on and throw on a little blush and its perfect for when im in a hurry for school! it doesnt exactly moisturize, but if you use your fingers and put moisturizer on before hand it does work really well. I also like that it has good coverage, all I need is this blush and a little concealer and Im good to go! Love this!! I actually like the smell..hahah but I guess everybodys different!

This is the first tinted moisturizer I've bought but it is exactly what I was looking for. My skin has some redness so I never go out without makeup. I wanted something light to even out my skin tone. This provides enough coverage and is buildable, but a little product does the job. It looks good with and without setting powder. This is like a very light foundation and feels light on the skin. I have combination oily skin so it wasn't moisture I was looking for. I just wanted light coverage and that's what I got.

I bought this product because I have never liked wearing foundation, as most tinted moisturizer users. The MUA applied it on my face and it felt light and fresh. My skin looked amazing without looking like i have anything on. But when I first applied it at home I noticed the horrible smell. It smells really chemical. The texture is not very creamy, it's hard to apply and very hard to blend. It feels kinda sticky and the freshness I felt before was definitely gone. The result is really nice though. It looks dewy but still matt if that makes any sense. It doesn't look like you have any make up on. After a few days I noticed a lot of little white bumps on my forehead, cheeks and blackheads on my nose. Gross! I stopped using the TM and the allergic reaction dissapeared. I guess this product works for a lot of people but definitely not for me. I normally never break out from any product. I think I'm going to try out the Bobbi Brown TM, wish me luck!

This TM is just ok. It does not provide enough coverage or moisture for me. I find myself still applying moisturiser as well as concealer and powder with it in order to get the look I want. It does feel good, like you are wearing nothing. I also find that at the end of the day it seems to settle into my lines, definitely not cute. I won't repurchase.

I absolutely love this product. Its easy to apply with fingers or a brush and really evens out my oily skin. I have a few acne scars that don't get fully camouflaged but I don't mind. Provides a nice matte finish.

Love love love this product!! Provides perfect light coverage. I hate wearing foundation because I hate having to blend and all that, with this I literally slop it on my face and call it a day. I have pretty dry skin, so I find this isn't moisturizing enough on its own, so I use it over my sunscreen (I need more than spf 15) and it dries to a nice matte finish. Top with a light dusting of powder and my skin looks fantastic without that gross fake foundation look. A bit pricey, but totally worth it.

Sadly, I have to add this to the ever growing list of products that oxidizes on me way to quickly. I am not taking off any lippies however, because practically everything oxidizes on me, and I still believe this is an excellent product.

I think this is one of the better TM's i used...

Its true about it not exactly "moisturizing" but it doesn't reveal flakies like a normal foundation would so it does have some moisture

It dries to this really nice matte like finish that i love... i have the smashbox TM and i do like it... its just i find it a tad to dark.. and it makes my skin kinda really oily... this on the other hand doesn't reveal the flakes and keeps oil at bay (somehow).. and thats good!

Im not sure if my coloring has been wrong with other TMs but Light in this is perfect.. i would be about a NW20 and this is just a bit lighter than that and it looks just really good.

Other notes..
The coverage is pretty good especially for a TM... the smell is kinda meh, but i actually don't mind it at all, it lingers for a little but not long and its really not that bad of a smell, its just not a fragrant flower.

Hmmmm, I'm really surprised at the high rating of this product. I hate to say something negative because I received it in swap from a sweet MUAer who was very kind to swap with me.
BUT, I have to be honest. I couldn't use it at all - it has a horrible, unbearable, STRONG chemical odor. It is overpowering, and I smell it for hours after applying the product - it started making me sick :-(. I can't imagine what that smell is. It seems a few reviewers have commented on this too, but I can't believe everyone has not remarked on it.
As for the performance of the product - well, it's OK, but seems more of a matte light foundation, not a tinted "moisturizer." It dries to a matte finish -- NOT what I want from a TM. If I reach for a TM it is because I want a dewy, soft glow. This is not moisturizing at all either...so I'm guessing it is great for oily skin, but not so much for normal-combination or dry.
