I love, love, love this eyeliner. I haved used it for years my only complaint before the new colors came out was that it only came in black and dark brown. I have tried so many different brands for more variety of colors and I was always disappointed with either the formula or the applicator. I was so excited when they launched their new colors that I bought one of each. Then went back and bought several of the brown topaz just in case it was discontinued. Anyway, this is my HG eyeliner I always get a perfect line with little effort. Some have said they felt the tip was too stiff, I agree when you get a new one but after you use it a few times it get s softer and easier to use. This lasts longer than any other liquid I have used, I can even fall asleep in it and still wake up with almost perfectly lined eyes. For those of you that say it stings you must have extremely sensitive eyes because sometimes I line the inside of my eyes with this and it doesn't sting at all.
If I could give this product a ZERO I would. I bought it at Walgreen's on a buy one get one free sale. This was against my better judgement as I always use Maybelline Liquid Waterproof eyeliner. The claim of Almay's liquid eyeliner is that it lasts up to 16 hours. This couldn't be further from the truth. Every day I had eyeliner smears and crumbles all over my face. It didn't even last 1-2 hrs without this happening. It also made my eyes itch! I was relieved to be able to finally throw this product away and go back to my beloved Maybelline. I will never use an Almay eye product again!
I lucked out and this was the first liquid eyeliner that I ever used. I figured I might as well explore a little and have spent as much as three times the price for a different brand and nothing worked better than this product. At first, the applicator is a little stiff, but you just have to move it around a lot and after a day or two it's spongy like the package claims. It's easy to apply and stays on forever - which is saying a lot because I have oily skin. It's a steal at $7, too.
Compare to the other brands that I've used, this one is really good. it lasts a long time and it doesn't smudge. The only downside to this product is that it is not waterproof. But overall, recommended.
just like almays mascara.... OOOOUUUCCCCHHHH! how the hell can they say this stuff is hypoallergenic? this felt like it was burning my eyelids the second i put it on. my eyelid was puffy and itchy the next morning. cheap nasty eyeliner is more hypoallergenic than this!
I got this liquid eyeliner in black because it is supposed to last up to 16 hours. I have to say that it does last long and barely smudges, which is a surprise as I have oily lids.
The liquid is very black and a far more intense black than Almay's Intense I-liner liquid liner in Black Pearl. According to the packaging, the felt tip applicator is supposed to be a "flexible tip." However, I don't find it particularly flexible. The felt tip is no different than the felt tip found in Black Pearl. I was hoping that it would truly be flexible because although the felt tip is quite precise, I think that the liquid would distribute more evenly with a more pliant tip.
This liner is also supposed to be fine for contact lens wearers. I wear contacts and this liner doesn't irritate my eyes.
Goes on easily, dries quickly, produces a crisp line, comes off easily when I wash my face off. It fades a little bit by the end of the day and is not waterproof by any means but is still a good product. I've been using this for years and haven't found a better bang for your buck eyeliner yet.
I use the brown. I love it because it stays put all day(at least 16 hours) and the color stays the same. Great liner for any price!
This is an amazingly reliable eyeliner. I have been using it for years and when I finally decided to switch and try other brands, I was deeply disappointed. I can't find anything better than Almay's liquid eyeliner. It dries quickly, and stays put. The applicator is perfect and I always find that I apply my eyeliner so flawlessly and effortlessly with this eyeliner, but when I use other brands, I have to struggle a bit or line my eyes 2-3 times. It's a bit more pricey than other drugstore brands but it's totally worth it, I assure you. Wonderful eyeliner, I HIGHLY recommend it.
This stuff is the best. I bought it after having zero luck with Jane and Physician's Formula versions. I read about the Almay liner in an ELLE article--apparently, some big-shot Hollywood makeup artist uses it on Nicole Richie to get a good line. I'm glad I took ELLE's advice, because this is the best liquid eyeliner I've ever tried! The felt "brush" always picks up the perfect amount of liner, and it's easy to fix any mistakes. The formula itself is amazing: dark as sin and smooth as silk.
