This product is all the rave! I do enjoy the product for its convenience factor, since it cleanses and removes my makeup effortlessly in one step. The only problem I encounter with this cleanser is the marketing behind it. It claims to be "pure," but if you carefully read the ingredient list, the ingredients are not so pure after all. While the product itself is good, there are better alternative products that remove make up and additionally have beneficial ingredients to the skin.
I loved this product for easily taking all my makeup off and leaving it smooth and clean feeling. But after a week I started to break out really bad and I had to stop using this product. It's a shame because I spent so long scraping up the money to buy it and now it's a huge disappointment. If you have acne prone skin beware!!
I REALLY wanted to like this product. Since I happen to breakout once a while I thought this product would minimize my breakouts, but unfortunately it didn't. However, I like how its so creamy, it lathers onto your skin and it doesn't have a strong scent. I've been using this product for almost 2 months now and I don't believe I'll waste my money on this cleanser anymore.
love the smell, but it caused a severe rash on my face & horrible breakouts.
I got this as part of set being sold on special with a promo from the Today Show and didn't really like anything that came in the set (Purity, Hope, Flowers). This cleanser does not completely remove my makeup (it takes off about 80%) but my main qualm with it is that the ingredients it contains breaks me out. I used it consistently in the beginning and stopped when I noticed lots of whiteheads developing on my normally clear skin, when I stopped using this my skin cleared up as well. I also started using another cleanser and the clarisonic at the same time I started with this so I couldn't be sure at first. I use this on and off when I run out of makeup remover and I always get breakouts if I use this cleanser more than a couple days in a row so now I am pretty sure this is what is giving me breakouts.
Bought a 3pc set off QVC for $65.00 which included a 32oz bottle of Purity, 32oz bottle of Microdelivery & 8oz jar of Hope. Very very dirt cheap. The purity cleanser does do a good job in taking every speck of makeup off, I have to say that, but I do not like the tight filmy feeling my face is left with. So I wash again with my very moisturizing Mary Kay Timewise 3-in-1 cleanser. I will definitely keep using it & buying it but will always wash my face again with Timewise
This is a mircale product that cleared up my hormonal breakouts. Sadly this is too expensive at 10 dollars for a 3oz at sephora.
Some background: I had miraculously good skin as a teenager, didn't really break out unless I was PMS-ing, and even then it was nothing bad...
...Then I turned 25 earlier this year and suddenly my skin was freaking out. I was breaking out on my cheeks, which never happened before (usually it was confined to chin/forehead) and I was breaking out outside of PMS time. I was really upset and didn't know how to deal with it. I tried all sorts of products aimed at reducing acne but none seemed like they were really working. I would reduce some of my pimples only for a another to pop up shortly after. I was starting to get really self-conscious about my looks (I know, it's kind of silly and probably really vain, but I couldn't help how much it was affecting my mood. :( )
I decided to give this stuff a try after a month or so of using Neutrogena Stress Free Cleanser with no results (nothing against it, it just didn't work for me). I got the tiny sample bottle first in case it didn't really pan out. After my first few weeks of using this cleanser I noticed that it was actually improving my skin, so I ran out and bought a full sized bottle. Purity is really gentle. There is no tingling or anything like that while using it. I know that the tingling is supposed to mean that the cleanser is doing something but other cleansers I've used had the tingle and they didn't do anything for me except make me dry and flaky. Purity also feels really clean when it washes off - no weird, oily residue! And to top it off it smells nice too! It took a month or so to stabilize, but I noticed my breakouts were getting less and less frequent. The blemishes that did come up tended to stay small and didn't come to a huge head like they did before. They also didn't stick around very long. Now this week I can happily say that I'm breakout free (fingers crossed)! I think I can safely attribute it to combination of this cleanser plus a simple regimen with the other products that I use. If anyone is interested in that here is the TL;DR (keep in mind that I was using all these other products while I was also using the other cleansers, and my skin only improved after I switched to Purity):
-I use a Clarisonic Mia 2 with the acne brush both morning and night (on the second setting) with Purity cleanser
-Day moisturizer: Olay Complete SPF 30
-Night moisturizer: Neutrogena Oil Free (the one in the white bottle)
-Breakout spot treatment: Clearasil benzoyl peroxide in the morning and Clean and Clear salicylic acid at night
-Queen Helene Mint Julep clay mask when I'm feeling extra oily or I know I'm susceptible to breaking out (once a week or when I really need it)
-Volcanic Ash Self-Heating Mask from the Face Shop if I HAVE broken out (it helps bring out the gunk from my pores a little faster) once a week or when needed
-Drinking more water!
-Not touching my face or being careful to keep my cell phone from touching my face
^Whew, that was a lot! I hope that someone finds my review useful. I'm really happy that my skin has improved...it's been a rough few months when it was broken out and I seriously didn't want to go out sometimes because I was so down about it. But thanks to this cleanser it's been much better!
I've been using this product about 2 months. I really love it. this product cleans my face clearly . I don't understand why many people don't like it ?
I got this for gratis at work but this is originally $38, personally I feel it's incredibly way too expensive for a facial cleanser/makeup remover. The smell is amazing but that's honestly the only thing I like about it.i went to a seminar for work and I was told to apply it onto a cotton round and then put it on my face when I went home that night I tried it (for the seminar we tried it on our hands) and it honestly took forever to take my makeup off. You're supposed to be able to just "melt" your mascara away even waterproof and I had to rub as much as I hated it to get my mascara off. I've used it a few times after that and still don't like it this is basically a last resort product for me.
