There is nothing at all special about the "Dramatically Different" moisturizer. It's runny, greasy, and doesn't do a particularly great job of moisturizing the skin. Definitely disappointing, considering the price and prestige.
ick...this stuff makes me shiver. Yellow tinged and thickened mineral oil. I used it in high school before I knew better..I switched to DDFs Ultra Light Moisturizing Dew, which is light, non greasy, effective, and soaks in immediately.
Just like water. Moisturized my skin for about 5 minutes. No dramatic difference. Wrong product mame.
obviously, everyone has a different way of reacting to certain products, my mom has been a loyal customer of this moisturizer since she was single and she's been married for almost 23 years, she introduced this product to me when i was 18 and i've been using it for 5 years and I can't let go, my skin always feels great after, my skin is extremely sensitive i can't use anything but this moisturizer, pricey but worth it. its got a strong base to it and once you use it and react well to it, they you'll never go for anything else. I've been a fan for many years now, it wouldn't hurt to test it out! some say its too strong but having been using it for so long, i think it omits the dry feeling you may have.
Um. I agree with the person below who asked, "WHAT IS THIS?" I don't get it. LIke, at all. How can Clinique still have this in their line? Why do people buy it? What does it do? Is it true that this is just one of those things, like that Rosebud Salve crap, that people like to buy just, well, BECAUSE??? I don't get it. I wouldn't put this on my face if someone paid me to do it. I'd rather go with nothing. Can you tell I think this stuff is crap yet? ICK. Times three.
What IS this anyway?! Water with some liquid sulfur thrown in? Yuk! This does nothing. Absolutely nothing, but sit on your skin looking gross and feeling gross. One of the most overpriced and overhyped products I have ever come across, save the money and just grab some yogurt and throw it on your face. Exact same result. Well, actually maybe the yogurt would smell and feel better!!!
I would not use this all over my face as i have break-out prone skin and there is a very good chance it will break me out. It might also be too heavy for my oily skin. However, a lot of dryer-skinned ladies love it and it does have its loyal fans for a reason. During winter, sometimes I'd get dry patches on my cheeks and near my eyes and my normal moisturisers just weren't cutting it and I didn't know what else to use. Then I remembered I had a GWP bottle somewhere and used a little bit just on the dry patches, and voila, they went away overnight (or maybe two) Its also good when I get dry just at the sides of my nose, and really, anywhere you get dry. The texture is lovely, its a lotion but just as moisturising as some other creams without the heavy feel. It leaves a film on your skin so if you like that in a moisturiser then go for it! I however, dont. It smells nice, no fragrance to it. I wouldn't buy it myself, but if I get a sample I wouldn't chuck it out. Reasonable price too for a mid-range brand. The pump bottle is handy but they could've made it a bit easier on the eyes and spruced the design up a bit. But now, its kinda a trademark so don't think they'll be changin it any time soon.
Would never buy it again. I was sold this lotion with the 3 step program and I might have had a chance if I had not used this moisturizer. Whitehead, bumps under my skin, and blackheads thrived. Would be good for severely dry skin that never breaks out.
I've never been too fond of this moisturizer. I always wanted to like it because it seems like such a good idea in theory--I like other clinique products, I like the faint smell, my mom swears by it. But no, it always sits on top of my skin, kind of greasy. it makes any makeup I put on top of it slide off. Not for me. I did see that they improved the packaging though. It used to have a screw cap, and now it has a pump.
Although I have oilier skin and use the dramatically different moisturizing gel, I wanted to post about this product because it can be very benefical for those with dry or normal to dry skin. Dry skins may apply it all over, whereas normal to dry skins would want it only where they feel dry. Dryness signals an improper balance of oil and water but the parts of the skin that feel comfortable do not need extra oil (in the form of moisturizer). Use this moisturizer on dry skin only, whether that is all over your face, or only specific ares (ie cheeks). Note: hypoallergenic means designed to reduce or minimize the possibility of an allergic response, as by containing relatively few or no potentially irritating substances. Almost every cosmetic brand is hypoallergenic, obviously, but clinique is actually allergy-tested, which means that their products undergo even more rigorous testing than standard hypoallergenic products.
