This is an ok mask. I'm not quite sure what it's supposed to do, but it smells really delicious :-). I use it when I just want to feel pampered. Would buy again just because it smells so good :-).
This is the most disgusting smelling product I have ever used.
I can't comment on its long term effects because I literally just took it off, but my god, that was the most horrible 10 minutes of my life.
My skin still smells of it :( Really really really nasty.
I just love this mask for the indulgence. I love that cocoa chocolate scent, it is a wonderful decadent smooth desert for the face! No calories here ladies, just pure unsweetened chocolaty bliss. Warning: You will be tempted to lick this stuff! Or splurge on some decadent pastries.
When I use this mask, it makes my skin feel tight, my pore appear more refined, reduces the redness in my skin, and promotes healing of the last few pimples on my skin. Itís a definite must if you have some girlfriends over, or want to have some bonding time with sisters. It is certainly a fun facial mask that prompts some giggles from my sisters and friends, who enjoy the wonderful fun factor of this product.
Will repurchase in future,
So far so good. I tried this yesterday morning. I feel a difference in my very oily skin. I did not give this a five yet because it's only been a day but I have a feeling I will purchase this again.
Ok so i got this mask to try and calm down my awful breakouts which tend to rape my mouth area. It says its for Oily to acne prone skin. The smell was ok but did hardly anything for my skin. Im fact i think it just made it oilyer.
I HATE the best before dates on these things...only lasts like 2 weeks, so alot of it goes to waste. Forget that, i carry on using it after its use by date.
Not a good mask. Prefer Cosmetic Worrier!
God bless Lush! I went into a lush store the other day to buy something and I told the sales girl that I'd only been using lush products for about 3-4 months, and in that time, my personal lush regime transformed my very dry, flaky, cystic acne all-over and generally out of control skin. I started using lush to repair damage done by acne products like benzoyl peroxide and other severely drying topical prescription meds. I still get pimples here and there (i'm taking doxycycline) though, and she recommended the cupcake mask. Since I had just dropped some major money on moisturizer and ultrabland she gave me a slightly used tub of cupcake mask for free (though i'm thinking i should have gotten a full tub for free considering how much I spend in there every month. I think other stores do that when you spend a certain amount, but I don't know how often they do that). But there's a lot left in the tub and I'll probably have it for at least a month. Someone else reviewing this product said it smelled like a chocolate scraff-n-sniff sticker and that's exactly right. I personally don't like the smell nor do I want something vaguely smelling like chocolate cake on my face. But I've been using it as a spot treatment on some painful zits that popped up. I leave a dab on the spots overnight and in the morning the area is not dried out and all the pimples were reduced in size and were no longer painful. Awesome. I'd say this works way better than any topical blemish cream i've ever used. UPDATE: After using it as a mask and spot treatment off and on for about a week I have developed huge painful pimples where I had clear skin before using this mask. I've used this as a spot treatment on those areas and have seen no improvement. In fact, it seems everytime I use it I get new spots. I will have to stop using for awhile because this may be irritating my skin.
The good thing about this mask is that it makes your skin soft and smells yummy. But it didnt seem to do much for me, I was still getting my regular breakouts. :( I'll be trying LUSHs other masks and see how they work.
Holy crud. I was initially wary of these masks due to all the essential oils. I finally caved in and bought Cupcake. Wow. Even though it took a while for my face to get used to it my skin always feels so soft and firm after use. I cannot sometimes believe the skin that I'm looking at in the mirror afterwards. I use vitamin c, niacinamide, retinoids, etc, but this mask actually makes my skin look great. The fact that it's vegan and the chocolatey scent doesn't hurt. After a couple of weeks I've been consistently having good skin days and needing less foundation because of the biofresh masks.
All this does is strip oils from the skin, maybe exfoliate a bit.. for my dry skin, it's too much. People think this smells delicious but it smells like dark mint chocolate on crack, lol!
I had walked in wanting to buy Brazened Honey and Catastrophe Cosmetic, but the SA recommended Cupcake, so I picked that up with Brazened Honey instead of CC. I ended up hating Brazened Honey, but Cupcake was WONDERFUL! It left my skin feeling so smooth and my skintone was evened out. I absolutely adored the way I felt afterwards. It's also my sister's fave mask so far, and we have fairly different skin types -- I'm oily and blemish prone, while she has super sensitive skin, broken vessels under the skin, and mild rosacea. It worked like a dream for both of us! This is definitely our HG mask! Oh, and the amount in the tub is good for about 8 uses!
