This product really does work!! I use it as a finishing product over my makeup to give a healthy glow. I have gotten numerous compliments on my skin when I've used this. It is pricey, but it lasts forever. This has been a lifesaver for me when I've stayed up all night, and I need to look rested the next day. I'm combo/oily, too, and this does not give that greasy, glowy look..just bright and fresh:)

I have stayed loyal to the original Les Meteorites for years because it never fails to oh-so-subtly enhance my skin, which is just the way I like it. Multicolored balls shed a pearlescent mosaic of stardust which lends skin a subtle radiant glow. Key word is "subtle" and I will hazard the guess that the paler your skin, the greater the payoff. I have that translucent whitish Japanese complexion (not the geisha variety!), which is about as naturally white as that of the very fair redheads, and I absolutely love this product. Your skin will not assume any obvious changes. If out in natural light, take out a mirror -- you should see bits of shimmer on the areas you touched. But, they will not be noticeable to others. You'll just look a bit luminous, as if digitally enhanced.
Just received the Meteorites Beige Chic and I really love it. I can only use the colored balls in the dead of winter because they go on so light -- and I do love them -- but these are great. Give a great powder glow finish. I am a GGG and I think I could even use these when I am tanned but right now when I am as light as I can get they are lovely. These should be great on everyone unless you are a person of deep color.

The packaging is a joke considering what Guerlain charges for this. Very flimsy cardboard. As much as I have used this and even in desperation have taken some of the pearls out and applied them directly to my skin, I have yet to see what the big deal is. When I swirl my brush in the pearls and apply, it just looks like a very light face powder. The only thing going for this product is the very yummy violet smell. Don't bother wasting your money.

Bought the limied edition spring 2005- beige chic which had all kinds of beige & brown pearls.
Well, i am pretty fair so this beige brown pearls actually do give me some colouring. Secondly it seems to give more coverage then the normal loose pearls. Hides my open pores more than the normal loose pearls. I used this more as a loose powder instead of a higlighter. The shimmer is very natural, not really notceable unless you stared up close at your face.
Still dont like the packaging. REally wish they came in something more sturdy than a cardboard (especially considering the price i am paying!) then the puff that gets stuff - wish it had a ribbon or something to pull it out. somehow my pearls seems to be crushed more- there's too many crumbled loose powder that the puff soaked up when i first open it. since the puff was stuck, i used mroe strength to pull the puff and made a mess with all the exess powder flying around! thank god the litle pearls stayed in the container for once! a great purchase- wish this wasnt limited edition. would have picked another one if it wasnt that expensive. all well, shall save my cash for the next limited edition item that appears! continued >>
I had wanted these things ever since I saw them in a magazine advertisement as a little girl. They look like candy! And the model had this colorful glowing face in the ad. It wasn't literally colorful, but the lighting in the photograph was pastel as to suggest that the pastel little balls had given her that shade of color. So I wanted it! When I first saw it in person I let the SA apply it on me. It made my skin matte yet evened my skin tone and gave me a glow. Not a shiny glow, but a glow of "naturally good"-looking skin. My skin isn't naturally good. It is sensitive and prone to breakouts and redness and dark circles. This powder does not cause any adverse reactions. It really does seem to even out my skin tone and make my skin look very clear and "quality porcelain" (I'm very pale). Sometimes I wear it alone without foundation. I find the packaging to be pretty. I own two jars, a full sized one and a mini jar I bought from ebay. I am quite a fan. :}
*omigosh* I agree with everything doree_001 has just said!!! Unfortunately, the original, infamous Les Meteorites pearls do nothing to improve my skintone either... it's an overpriced translucent powder IMHO. :-/ I do love most other Meteorites products though, particularly the LE 'Reflets de Nacres', which consists of a mix of pinks and white pearlised balls which highlights my cheekbones beautifully. I'm anxious to try the newest Meteorites LEs: Beige and Pink. Despite this one being near-useless, I must rate it 2 lippies for the beautiful packaging and the heavenly violet scent. :) continued >>

I've never been very impressed with this powder. This is a cute little thing to have, but I've always prefered "normal" loose powders. I've found Les Meteorites a bit drying, too. On my face it looks just like an ordinary, average transparent/translucent loose powder, nothing special really.
I have a limited edition (fall 2003) Meteorites Reflets De Nacres (rose pearl-like balls) and this stuff is much better, looks great on the skin (very luxurious feel, I'd say it is something between the powder and highlighter!) and unlike the regular Meteorites this one is absolutely non-drying.

Have been dithering about this for ages. Finally gave in and bought it...so glad I did!Lovely subtle glow, no obvious glittery bits, brightens my face and looks pretty. I wear it every day. I dont mind the packaging - it came with a puff that keeps the little balls in so it isnt too bad for transporting with a bit of care.If I need a slightly more matt finish I tend to use a little bit of my TLeClerc loose powder first then a dusting of this. It doesn't disguise major blemishes on a bad skin day, but then what does!Overall, gives a nice soft veil effect and a gorgeous glow.

If you don't have this, it's probably because you think you don't need it. If you think you don't need it, you're wrong. Go to a Guerlain counter and ask to try it and you'll see. It makes you GLOW. I don't care if you can't eat for a week, you have to have this. (Unless you have very oily skin.)
I tried the new pink one too, may eventually be unable to resist the compulsion to buy that too.
The packaging is beautiful, btw, but fragile. At £26 I expect more than cardboard. Still, can't bring myself to take off a lippy. Gonna go and get the compact soon too.
