I really do like this foundation. Coverage for me (matched to shade #120; excellent shade match) is medium and can be build up. It leans more on the matte side but a very, natural non-cakey matte look...did that even make sense?

For me, lasts a long time. It is water based so best results would be to pair it with something also water based for compatible reasons. Make sure your skin is moisturized because it can catch onto dry patches. Not a lot of transfer (me personally) though I noticed a little transfer on the bridge of my glasses when I/weather gets warmer. Very light-weight feeling and very comfortable to wear. Practically smooth to the touch. Warm weather can be a little be daunting but not bad at all.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FOUNDATION! I have tried so many different foundations including mac, Nars, all drugstore foundations, chanel, clinique, laura mercer and this is just the BEST one! I have an olive skin tone and I have oily skin (not that oily) but it's just amazing. It gives me a full coverage and doesn't make me breakout at all! I have so many bottles of this foundation its endless! I dont think i will ever buy a different foundation again because this one is so pleasing. I personally do not think that it feels heavy. Its amazing! Definitely buy it!

This product covers well, looks natural, doesn't feel heavy, matches my skin tone well, and lasts for hours. I love the pump bottle that it comes in. I just wish it wasn't so darn expensive!!

Good shade range, decent coverage, but this crap weighs a TON on your skin. It also sets really quickly, so it’s not a buildable foundation, at all. I prefer to start with a really light layer of base—using my hands to massage it in like moisturiser—let it “cook” on my face while I do the rest of my makeup, then go back with a brush and see if I need to reinforce the coverage anyplace. This actively resists touch-ups, not to mention adhering to primers, blending evenly with concealers, or doing anything but making me feel like a mannequin’s head on a human's body. For the price, or even a fraction of it in some cases, I could, and have, done MUCH better. File under "Don't Believe the Hype" for me.

I have medium light skin with yellow undertones.
I chose this foundation in shade 120 and it matches beautifully, to the point were I am unable to tell which sections of my face have makeup or not.

I expected this to have fuller coverage than it did, but I'm still satisfied with the product, as well as impressed.
If you have very bad blemishes or scars, this most likely won't cover them, and you'll most likely need concealer.
Luckily my skin is mostly even besides dark undereyes, a few acne scars, redness around my nose, and a few tiny sun spots.
Although, everyone has probably seen diamondsandheels14's youtube video where she uses MUFE hd to completely cover her really bad acne, I can't seem to cover minor blemishes nearly as good with this product.

I'm so accostomed to using other thicker and heavier makeup, that when I look in the mirror, I can easily notice it.
When applying this foundation, I can't see it on my face, no matter how hard I try, it's literally "invisible" which makes me feel like I need to apply until I can notice it, but I stop myself, since that's what it's supposed to do.

This is the type of foundation that when applied correctly, you'll be able to pick up one of those 9x magnification mirrors from target/cvs/walmart/home/etc and you won't be able to see the makeup at all, yet your skin will look very even, and beauutifull!

Also, with this foundation, unlike others, I'm able to comfortably walk outdoors; be outside on rainy days; harsh indoor lighting; and rooms with insane sunlight peeking through...all without getting anxious about how cakey or disgusting my makeup looks. This is definitely the type of makeup you'd wear if you plan on "looking good" outdoors.

Another thing I need to mention, If you have insanely dry skin, such as myself, you might not enjoy this product. Especially now since it's getting pretty cold out (snowing today) I had to pile on moisturizer beforehand, and actually mix lotion with the first layer of the foundation in order for it not to get flaky and cakey. I can't use primer with this because it seems to make my face dryer?(probably the specific primer I'm using) But although I don't use primer with it, no powder on top, and no finishing dust/spray, this product lasts the entire day on my face. Also, I've fallen asleep with this on my face twice so far (bad, i know) and when I woke up, I didn't notice any makeup on my face (assuming it rubbed off) until I actually washed it off and realized how horrible my actual skin looked. This is definitely for those who want some coverage but do not want anyone to "tell" that they have makeup on. For anyone who complains about this product being cakey, they are most likely applying to much, or applying it weirdly. This looks best with 1-2 thin and even layers and concealer for whatever is still peaking through.

pros-
looks beautiful
evens skin tone
photographs well
looks insanely natural,
great for sunlight/outdoors/harsh lighting
good color selection
pump

cons-
not moisturizing as advertized
doesn't cover everything
price
pump is hard to control at times

my skin is extremely fair and it's always been rather difficult for me to find a foundation that matches my skin tone. I use 110 and it's just perfect. it doesn't get cakey on me at all, lasts really long, even though I don't use neither primer nor powder. application is great, coverage could be better but thankfully now I don't have a lot of skin problems. my friends told me they thought I don't use foundation at all and my skin is naturally that good. I've recently purchased my 4th or 5th bottle and I guess it won't be the last one.

I don't understand why this foundation is so popular. It looks great in photography but feels so cakey. I'm quite pale, and got matched to 115, but it is at least 3 shades darker than my skin. After a few hours, it oxidized and turned into an appalling shade of tan-orange. I would return it, but the pump broke and I transferred the rest into a container. Now I have a lovely $50 useless foundation sitting on my counter.

i love this foundation.. its really good coverage, the packaging is great, and lots of skin shades to chose from at the store but the negatives is that its can be cakey .. very cakey so you just have to apply it very carefully with a good foundation brush .. (dont use your fingers with this foundation not the best )

Makeup Forever HD Foundation was my go-to for years! All the actors on HIMYM wore it. I'm always on a quest for newer better foundations and this one was shelved for awhile. But still a good staple and I return to it again and again.
PROS:
1. Great Coverage
2. Good color selection
3. Works well on most skin types.
CONS:
1. Can get cakey after long wear
2. Gets thick in the bottle after awhile

I've only had this applied on me a few times (by makeup artists) and each time I feel like I should have used my own foundation. With a silicone primer, I found that it just slid off my face -- in spots. In other places, perhaps where the primer didn't go on evenly, it seemed to grab on, so that it was impossible to blend or touch up nicely. With just a light moisturizer, it initially looks wonderful, but still creases around nose & mouth and under eyes in a way I haven't seen since I stopped using the most terrible drugstore foundations. At least without primer it was possible to blend the creases away -- but I looked best at the very start of the day and at the end when I'd basically wiped off all the foundation. I don't know if it would last better with a different powder, but many layers of the HD setting powder did nothing. The only reason I'm giving this 2 lippies instead of 1 is that the colour match was good and I'm open to the idea that someone with extremely normal, young skin (NO dry patches, NO increasing oilies through the day, not ONE fine line) might be able to use this. Which: why would they bother? continued >>
