I had heard a lot of buzz about this lip gloss, which allured me into buying it at Target. Very happy that I did, it is so pretty and true coral, that shows up even on my pigmented lips and to show up even more coral, you just need a coral or nude lipstick underneath! I dont know if these are limited edition but they are great, good job Revlon. Going back to get two more of them
This is a bright, sheer coral that is very wearable. It is more pigmented than most glosses and can be worn alone. I gave it 4 stars because I like really pigmented glosses, which are not that common. For most glosses, the pigmentation is good. It is not sticky. It is also not watery. Water gloss do not last. This stuff does have decent lasting power. This is probably my favorite d/s gloss. Definitely a must-have.
It's official--I love Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses! They are hands down the best drugstore lipglosses I have ever used, ever.
Coral reef is a nice, orange-coral that is extremely flattering on warm skin tones and is the perfect gloss for the summer (I'm NC25). It is definitely the essence of the "in" coral color that is seemingly everywhere this summer. The texture is smooth and amazing, and not too sticky (although not too watery either that it doesn't have staying power). It is shiny but has no shimmers or glitters, so it feels great on the skin. Like the other SL glosses, the formula is moisturizing, so much so I can use this lipgloss in place of balm and it works great to keep my lips from flaking or cracking.
While the sheerness of the SLs vary, CR is one of the more pigmented ones. I have fairly pigmented lips naturally and it only takes one coat to get a color very similar to what you see in the tube on your lips. You have to blend it out a little around the cupid's bow since it will be noticeable if you don't b/c of the amazing pigmentation of the gloss. It lasts around 2-3 hours on me if I don't eat anything.
The packaging is super. It's a classy, simple clear tube with a black cap and gold trimming--it's very similar to Dior's Creme de Gloss vials. I like doe-foots so no complaint here, either. Retails for $7.99 at most drugstores but there are often BOGO50 sales, so watch out for that.
To be honest, this Coral Reef and another SL gloss, Pink Pop, are probably better than any other gloss (drugstore OR high-end) I have ever used other than the Chanel Rouge Allure Laques which I don't really even consider to be a traditional glosses. I will purchase this product again and again, it's absolutely lovely.
Definitely a must have for NC44-45 ladies. The perfect coral color on pigmented lips. It can be toned up or done. Last a great amount of time. Worth the HYPE and price. One of my go to lip products this summer. Even when the summer passes I still will wear this in the fall because it is so pretty and just enough gloss and moisture. Not overly sticky. Great product hope this color is LE because I didnt purchase a backup!
If I had to sum this up in 5 words or less I'd say "what they said" because I finally get the hype over this elusive gloss. It was at CVS in the regular display along with Firecracker (which I got as my BOGO) . I'm guessing that means both are permanent? Regardless, this is so pretty and so flattering I want to wear it constantly. I've always been wary of coral, but this isn't your gramma's coral. The picture above does NOT do this shade justice. This little tube of pretty brightens my face and is more flattering than I expected, especially this time of year. I like that it has no shimmer, as I like to mix things up and don't always want shimmer. The texture, scent or lack thereof, and staying power seem the same as other SL's. Thank you MUA, for discovering this lovely little gem! It actually is worthy of the hype.
I was a bit hesitant to try this shade because I thought it would be too bright or too orange but I'm glad I was wrong. I would describe it as a nude with a pop of peachy coral and it's perfect when paired with dramatic eyes (which is exactly what I have been looking for). As with all Super Lustrous lipglosses, the formula is great.
If you were ever looking for nice coral, you know how hard it is to find it. I used to wear Coral Glow but i think it was discountinued because i haven't seen it for a while.
Coral Reef is bright orangy coral, without shimmer. That was a dissapointment for me because i love shimmer. None the less, this is bright very summery color. Surprisingly its very pigmented, nonsticky and last fairly long time. Before i started getting into coral lippies i was concerned that it wouldn't look good on me-I'm cool toned and PPP. None the less, i can actually wear orangy shades and look good in it. I think most pale brunettes can wear this color and it would look flattering. Would definately repurchase
What's in this stuff?! I don't know if anyone else experienced this but I broke out in hives on the lower half of my face right after application. Corner of my mouth...Akkk...looks like something else!! Needless to say, I'm scared to put it back on again.
For the short period of time i had it on, I'll comment on the color and consistency. It looks really scary in the tube but i was actually surprised once i had it on. I also generally stay away from coral/orange colors too but this gives you a hint of color without it showing up too obnoxious. Consistency is not too tacky but it is thicker than i expected and it didn't exactly smooth on the way that i would've liked. More creamy than glossy. What i do love is the packaging, it reminds me of Dior. I'm still on the search for the HG non-shimmery, pigmented creamy glosses.
I was worried that the color wouldn't suit me, but I wanted to try it anyway with corals being so big this summer. On my lips, which are fairly pigmented, it looks really pretty. Not nearly the color that it looks like in the tube. I've worn it quite a lot since I got it, but I do think that it's not my favorite consistency. It takes a little touching up to get it to look even... but once I do the staying power is pretty good. After awhile it's just a stain, which is also pretty.
I heard the hype and decided to try this gloss. I don't like glosses too much because there sticky, which means as soon as I put it on everything that can stick to my lips will come full force. Instead of dealing with the hassle I stick with lip balm or jelly carmex for shine. The price also helped and I have had no regrets. I am into corals like crazy and it looks awesome paired with my Jazz lipstick from back. I loved this lip gloss soooo much that I searched and searched for peach petal and love it just as much.
