My stylist introduced me to this line. I have wavy hair that is color treated. This stuff smells great - and the tingling factor is very awakening and makes me feel fresh and clean after a shower. I have noticed that using the Pureology line of products definitely makes a difference in keeping my hair color fresh and not brassy, and it holds the color from appointment to appointment. (Every six weeks or so)
It is a bit pricey, but if you buy it on sale or if you join a beauty club and can score the 20% off, it's worth it. A little goes such a long way. I just wish the packaging was a little better - seems like it's hard to get the last little bit out, and when you spend that much on a product, you want to use every last drop! Overall, a great product that keeps my hair soft, color fresh, and it does what it says it does. :)
I used this for the first time last night. I have very thick, curly coarse hair that I highlight and straighten. This is one of the best conditioners that I have ever used. I LOVE the tingling and the wonderful aromatherapy minty fragrance. Immediately I could feel it working. My hair was and is now extremely silky and moist to the touch. Like another reviewer mentioned, you only need a small amount as it is really concentrated. My husband mentioned how good my hair smelled last night! Right now I cannot stop running my fingers through my hair. For my hair type, (dry, curly, coarse damaged) it is just perfect and I have used everything! My hair feels like it did before all the processing!
Too expensive, and the smell is way too overpowering. It gave me a headache. It is okay as far as nice conditioner goes, it's just SO expensive. I wouldn't buy it again.
I was sooo hoping this would be my HG, but it was not. I did have a similiar experience to several other reviewers on here whereas it made my hair fall out like mad! The first time I used this, it burned my scalp terribly, and it burned for the next several hours. It is a good product, but it is too strong/concentrated. I think the burning triggered more hair falling out.
On the upside, it did make my hair softer, and it did detangle well. If you have a sensitive scalp, I would not recommend this. There has got to be something else better out there with the same results, without the terrible burning. Also, for the price I paid, I am sure I could do better with another, much cheaper product.
i love the shampoo, but the conditioner, not so much- it smelled like peppermint and cancelled out the sandalwood-type smell of the shampoo. this stuff is expensive, i just used a sample for a few days, (i really like it on my highlighted hair) but if i ever come across a sale, or get a raise, ill be buying this stuff for sure! some people below mentioned a burning sensation, but i didnt experience that- just a strong peppermint smell. left my hair nice and silky :}
To be honest, I can't really say how this conditioner would have affected my hair. I had to re-wash my hair with another shampoo/conditioner immediately! While the conditioner was still on, I felt an immensely hot, mint/peppermint sensation on my scalp--unlike anthing I've ever felt before. I thought it would stop after I rinsed it out with cold water. It didn't. I started to blowdry my hair but this awful heat continued. I jumped back in the shower, re-washed my hair, and everything was fine after that. Perhaps it's supposed to be refreshing, but for me, it was more like Vicks Vapor Rub on my scalp. It almost smells like it too. I would never repurchase. It sells for $21. for 8.5 oz. Horrible stuff!
Very expensive, but a great product. Is it much needed? Probably not. You could probably find something of equivalent or better quality without paying an arm and leg for it. What I love most is the tingling sensation, but I used up this within 2 months. I guess there's not much else to say about it.
This conditioner makes my hair very soft and hydrated. I like that it is supposed to protect my hair from the sun.
This is absolutely the best line I have ever tried in my life, and I have tried all of the salon brands and drugstore brands. Every one of these products is very concentrated, smells good and work well. You only need a tiny bit, about a nickel size of the shampoo. (Shampoo twice for best results.) For the conditioner, I only use about the size of a quarter. These shampoos and conditioners will feel totally different than the regular shampoos and conditioners. The shampoos donít have any sulfates in them, so they donít foam up like laundry detergent, because that is all sulfates are. The conditioners are not also loaded with silicones, so they donít feel as slippery, which is great because then the silicones donít build up in your hair. The products smell very natural. Some of the products take some getting use to, but it is well worth the results. I have tried the volume shampoo and conditioner, the hydrating shampoo and conditioner, reconstructor, colormax leave-in conditioner, shinemax and shine & control. I canít say which product I like the best because I love them all. Also, with this line, you can mix and match the shampoos and conditioners, and they will still work wonderfully together. I will continue to buy this, as it is like having the best line ever made for your hair. Lastly, donít be scared by the price. Since everything is so concentrated, it lasts a really, really, really long time. RememberÖyou only need a TINY bit of it! Happy shopping :) continued >>
Ok, so this is the BEST conditioner ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!! I know because I've tried them all. Well, almost. But this stuff is AMAZING!! Not only does it make my thick, dry, coarse, curly hair silky smooth, but it has rejuvinated my curls and made my hair shiney! AND, I use half as much as with any other conditioner! Seriously! I have never, and I mean NEVER, been able to run my fingers through my hair, from scalp to ends, and not hit a snarl. But now, I don't even need to comb it. And, it has this great minty smell, and it makes my scalp tingle. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER switch to anything else. This conditioner along with the Hydrating Shampoo are miracle products for my hair.
