Looks great on my C3 skin -- gives me a naturally darklook when I want to go for more colour. Its very easy to do an overkill with this bronzer because I went to a wedding and saw the pictures after -- wayyy too dark. So go lightly and remember to blend with a very soft brush. Love the shimmer, shows up as a nice glow. Would recommend if Golden didn't show up on you like it didnt show up on me.

I tried "Golden" before and was curious to try "Refined Golden". So the other day I finally went out and purchased it. I thought "Refined Golden" would have less sparkles(not that I don't LOVE glitter and sparkles) but the MAC girl told me it actually had more. I fell in love with this as soon as she opened the compact. It's a gorgeous gold toned bronzer with little gold glitter(but soft). I love it. When I put "Refined golden" on I noticed however that it's darker then "Golden" so I have to have a lighter hand. Also the gold glitter in it isn't harsh or really noticable unless you look very closely. To me it's more of a shimmer! I would recommend this and "Golden" for anyone who wants a sex kitten California girl look to them!:D

Nice bronzer love the tiny golden flecks. They hit your face in the right spots. Great color and texture stays put all day and sticks great to my moistirizer and foundation. Little too expensive but I guess beauty is pain....at least on my wallet! Lasts forever and will definately repurchase.

Wasn't crazy about this one. It looked a bit orangy on me, and I just didn't think it was worth the price at all. Don't know what else to say, the color was just really bad on me.

I'm an NW20, and this is the best bronzer I have used on my skin.

Its not too dark, and while there is a fair amount of shimmer in it, I don't use it terribly often on my face, and its the perfect bronzed glow on my decolletage and body.

When i first got this i applied it sparingly all over my face to give my fair skin some colour. Looked good in the mirror. Two hours later, I looked in the mirror and my entire face had turned an unnatural shade of orange!
Whilst i was disappointed, I have since discovered if you use a light touch, it makes a great contour colour to use under cheekbones. I pair this with sunbasque on the apples of my cheeks and i get a better sun-kissed result than trying to use bronzer alone.

The trick to not look orange-y or glittery- use a big fluffy face brush. Don't apply it like a blush. It's now a staple in my make up bag. All I had to do was apply sparingly.

I have been using MACs bronzer during this summer and lately been noticing my skin breaking out where I've applied the bronzer! I used to think that it woul be the studio fix but I'm now thinking it is really the bronzer! so sadly I have to stop using it. All in all the colour was perfect and I probably will use it again occasionally but definitely have to leave it for now... As for the studio fix, I am not sure if it causing me break-outs just have to wait and see...Thinking of buying the here reviewed Shiseido compact and see if my skin improves. Now that I haven't been wearing any make up today, my skin is fine.

My skin type: Acne prone, with old acne marks, sensitive, combo skin. NC35-40/C4 MAC/80 CONTOUR CHANEL, 060 Shiseido

Why oh why? I used to think only Studiofix caused me breakouts but I'm beginning to realize their face products are wrecking havoc on me! Now that I'am cutting down on mac's foundations and now their bronzers I am noticing improved skin. The exact areas I applied this on my face I BROKE OUT! No coincidences there because I would apply this before going out (clear cheeks), and then later at night washing my face I would feel bumps on my face! ARGH! Aside from that... the colour is quite nice. Gives me a nice toasty glow. Oh well.... continued >>
