i got this in a swap, and did not have any huge expectations for this prodcut, so i am very pleasantly surprised at how much i love what this stuff does for my shoulder length, naturally wavy layered hair! the smell is fresh, does not last (which is fine) my hair is not sticky or crunchy or greasy looking, i dont know how this stuff does it, but it just defines my waves, controlls frizz and adds the texture of the beach. i have not had such a great hair day in months, i am so glad i tried this product! all i did was wash my hair, towel dried, combed it and sprayed this stuff on, scrunched it up and left for work - great stuff. the bottle is adorable too, which is a plus.
This was just okay. I have thick curly hair, and although this spray did eliminate frizz, it made my hair feel gunky. Considering the expensive price, I thought it would be better. Since the time I bought this, I've found some other texturizing sprays that work better for me (i.e Garnier Surf Hair).
I really like this product. I have thick, wavy hair that comes down almost to my shoulder. I rub some brilliantine through my west hair, then spray with surf spray, scrunch, and go. I can't really explain it, but it makes my hair very pretty. I don't find it to have much hold... the result is natural, piecy, wavy hair. I love the packaging too.
The surf spray totally makes your hair piecey and beachy. It's got a cute package that is easy to use and reduces waste, but it's super expensive and you only need a little. You will definitely have to wash your hair after using this product before you can change styles because it can really weigh your hair down and make it feel dirty.
I bought this on a whim, and I really like it for my hair. With a layered cut that falls a bit above my shoulders, it works really well. It works even better if you use it with B&B's Thickening Spray. I can see how this wouldn't work for people with heavy hair, or longer hair, as the hold isn't the strongest. But there is something about this product that makes it so good. I tried making my own home sea salt spray, and that didn't work nearly as well. And I tried the Frederic Fekkai Wave Creating Spray, and that didn't do anything for my hair at all except make it smell nice. So as far as sea spray's go, this one seems to be the best. continued >>
I love this product and surprisingly it has lasted because the bottle is not that big for the price. I got it on sale on a website..so you might want to google for some deals! This product has made me achieve the beachy look! It smells like the oceank, a nice clean scent. I love this stuff when i don't feel like washing and styling my hair. I use a curling iron to make some waves and then i spray this to add some texture to my straight hair, and it looks so natural and doesn't leave my hair crispy or sticky like some sprays do. This stuff is a must to achieve that been to the beach look anytime!

I don't use this product to duplicate the beach hair look, cause I'm not too wild about that. But I love what it does for my hair! I have long fine, wavy, frizz prone hair with lots of flyaways. So I'm not sure this product would work for all hair types but I'll tell you what it does for mine: When I apply it to wet hair, I get insane volume and curl. My hair seems to hold a style better too! It doesn't control frizz totally, but gives me enough definition to where it still looks great. One thing it does NOT do is give me shine or softness - it basically "roughs up" the hair. But to me volume is more important than shine. When I apply Surf Spray to dry hair (I do this sparingly!), I get a more piecey look - more stringy, if you like. I don't do this often, it's a wild look - but awesome for controlling frizz in a pinch! All & all, a fabulous, versatile styling aid that I'll purchase over & over again. continued >>
I am still on the fence about this product. I can never seem to get the same results on my hair. I have fine, fairly straight hair, and I try to use this to get that beach hair. If I wash my hair the night before, and sleep with wet hair, then I can usually get nice wavy hair the next day. If I spray it in my hair wet, and scrunch and blow dry, all it seems to do is make my hair crunchy and frizzy. I would buy this product again just because I think I must be using it wrong, and I will keep trying it different ways.
Overprized...but I still love it. Great for my wavy/curley hair. I spray it on dry hair and use a little bit of brilliantine afterwards. Best saltwater product IMO. I like the scent - very descrete. Will repurchase.
