I love this highlighter. It's the only MSF that I own besides my MSF Natural. It gives my skin a dewy glow which I love. I won't repurchase it though because this will probably last me forever and I want to try out the other MSF's. I really want Stereo Rose, Petticoat and Perfect Topping. Too bad that all the things I want are discontinued.
Good highlighter, but I rarely use it as such since I look like a glitter ball (just like many other reviewers). Instead I use it as a subtle eyeshadow for while I'm at work. I just lightly sweep it from lashline to browbone for a bit of a lift without looking like I'm all made up (I work as a vet tech so heavy makeup is a no-no while at work). Does the job well, I only wish there was a mirror with the compact...

Used with restraint (otherwise you might literally end up looking like a shiny really sweaty person) it highlights my skin to perfection. My mother (as much as I love her) has to be the most critical person in the world!!! Anyways, when I started using this she kept asking me what I had done to my skin to give me such a healthy glow... it obviously does the trick. I dont like looking shiny, but I hate the matte look skin is not matte and healthy skin glows and this product helps to subtly highlight the areas I want to highlight. Brilliant.
I think this is a great color for my medium, yellow undertone skin. I barely swish my brush across the top (I can see how it could disco ball out of control with thicker application) and use it as a highlighter on my cheekbones, under my eyebrows, and down my nose - love the effect (esp in the sun) and it is going to last me forever. I like that it is not too pink, and it complements my fave MAC blush Prism wonderfully.
eehh! this product is just OKAY! the texture is very chunky and hard to apply, IN MY OPINION. when i put it on, with MAC 116, MAC 187, OR ANY OTHER BRUSHES, it just makes me look like a disco ball! (i agree with the review down below!) it also doesnt pick up well compare to By Candlelight or Comfort.

This product took a while for me to learn to properly use. You defintley need to tap the brush and limit the amount you put on or you will look like a glitter ball. Gorgeous color for that glow you always wish you had, I put it on the top of my cheek bones, forehead nose and chin however sometimes even that is too much. I heard many people say if you could only own one Mac product it should be this but I don't think it is that much of an outstanding product but i love it :)

I already have and love love love MSF By Candlelight. I was going to stock up on By Candlelight before they discontinue it....however when I went to the store and saw Soft and Gentle, I decided to buy that instead. By Candlelight has a beautiful glow..but sometimes can be a little too pink for my NC15 skin...I can only use it on my cheeks. Soft and Gentle is the perfect MSF for light-skinned girls with yellow undertones. It doesn't give me the same other-wordly glow that By Candlelight does :(...but it looks very natural (especially during the day - out in the sunlight) and I can use it all over my face because there is no color to it on me. I just tap the brush before applying to get most of the glitter off. It just gives me this natural "i have no makeup on" glow. My skin just looks super healthy when I wear this. Some days when I want a little color, I either wear blush underneath this...or I use By Candlelight on my cheeks, and this on the rest of my face.

I love all of MAC's MSFs! I use Soft & Gentle as a highlighter. It goes great with every blush I have used so far, including Indian Earth (non-MAC and sort of like Bare Minerals). All the MSFs have great lasting power and this one gives my skin a dewy look which I like. I only wish the compact came with a mirror. I wish MAC would create a MSF collective palette. That would be so cool. continued >>

I really do like this MSF, would I purchase another one, most likely not because you can use many other things BUT this is a very versatile product, so another hand I recommend it. I use it as a highlight on my cheeks, inner corner for my eyes, overall eyeshadow and highlight on my browbone. If you want to have a small collection of makeup, I highly recommend this to use for a several things.

The first time I used it I was a bit hold back, I heard great things about the msf and so I wanted to try one out and went for a soft natural colour.
The colour is very subtle on my skintone, which I was looking for and I use it as a highlighter.
Now, the first time I wasnt too impressed, it was just too glittery and I felt a bit like a discoball which wasnt really what I was looking for.
Now I tried it again, and its much better, I apparantly used it a bit wrong.
It helps a lot if u tap your brush or blow on it too get rid off the big sparkles.
I got a great highlighter out of this, it gives me a great healthy glow, but not over the top.
Like I said, the colour is very neutral for me so I use it on my cheekbones, under my brows and above my cupidbow for that nice extra touch.
Its a very nice great product, I have it in my daily makeupbag now.
Price is a bit on the expensive side (for me) but you get a lot of product which you can use for ages.
The packiging is maybe a bit on the boring side, just plain, but its easy to open with a little button, which is a plus, cause I sometimes have times I have to struggle with the packiging of certain make up.
This one is very nice, a lovely product again!
