I bought this thinking that it would compare to some of the other drugstore mascaras that I have had great luck with...unfortunately that was not the case. This doesn't seem to do much for the lahes...I have to keep putting it in application after application for any noticeable effect. Plus, there is this weird smell...almost like tulips but in a fake chemical kind of way.
All in all I would not buy this again because there are much better mascaras out there for the same price or less.
After finishing my first tube of the famous CoverGirl Lash Blast, I decided to try this mascara. A friend of mine suggested that I try it, but was I disappointed! It tends to goop up in my under eye when it is humid outside and it doesn't hold a curl well at all.
The best thing about this product is the brightly colored packaging. Skip out on this product and go for Lash Blast.
A serviceable but totally unremarkable mascara in my opinion. I have fairly long lashes with some natural curl so what I really want in a mascara is a little added volume and color so the length is visible--lengthening mascaras give me scary tarantula eyes, so I only use them with very dramatic looks. I grabbed this mascara when I failed to pack one for a trip, and it did the job, the black is nice and deep, and it doesn't give you crunchy lashes like a lot of non-WP mascaras do. Yes, it does have a peculiar and noticeable smell, kind of chemically sweet, but it isn't noticeable longer than a half hour after applying. My big beef is, for a volumizing mascara, this adds nearly zero volume. I get better volume from L'Oreal Voluminous, but that clumps insanely. At least this doesn't clump, but there's gotta be a better way, no? Other mascaras I've liked in the past, which gave more volume than this but were basically similar results: Besame's gingerbread '40s Black WP mascara, and good old Maybelline Full n' Soft. I will be trying this with primer next and will update if there are significant improvements.
I've read good reviews on this,so I tried it,but I was disappointed. It is average mascara, nothing special!
Rushed out to buy this prod, bc i am a mascara junkie, and was pretty disaapointed with the results, I thought it'd be something similar to CG Lash Blast, but there was no comparison. Doesn't do much for my short lashes, and doesn't hold a curl well either. Oh well, moving on to the next mascara-rave.
I bought this online after hearing a few good things about it... it did make my lashes look more full at first but after a couple of hours, it flaked off leaving me with racoon eyes :(. I used it for about one month... definitely not worth your money!
I bought this product as I generally wanted to try a new mascara as I had bought my old mascara every time I needed a new one. I loved the colour of the packaging and decided that I needed volume so thought i'd try it.
The overall results of the mascara are good as my eyelashes look really thick and bigger. I haven't had too many problems with the product clumping like some people have reported.
The product is good on the whole but didn't get a 5 because I find that I get smudges under my eyes after a few hours. However, I don't know if it is this or my eyeliner as it used to happen with my old mascara but has got worse recently? I am not too sure!
Anyway, I would recommend this mascara to people that have short or thin eyelashes and want a glam look!
At first, I wasn't in love with the mascara because it didn't give me volume. But after maybe a week of use, the formula changed--it turned more thick in consistency and I only needed to use 1 or 2 coats. The big brush is amazing. It separates my lashes and provides thickness, which I was hoping for. Definitely will purchase this again. And it is much better than the Covergirl lashblast. I use that sucker for my eyebrows now.
I really do love this mascara, but then again I really don't have much to choose from that isn't going to break the bank. I'm allergic to all parabens, and finding mascara without paraben has been quite the challenge. To my surprise this has been the best one yet. The only other one of tried as of recent is Sally Hansens/Carmindys Natural Beauty mascara, which was horrible. Other than the fact that I'm not allergic to it, I'm half asian so my eyelashes are a tad on the short/straight side. This gives them both volume and length. It does clump a bit, but that can always be taken care of with a brush. It has excellent staying power, it rarely flakes, unless I've been crying or something like that. The smell is a little overpowering at first, but now I don't even notice it. It goes on easy, comes off easy and I'm not allergic to it! I've bought it about 3-4 times now, and I still love it.
What did I love about this mascara? The bright bold yellow packaging, that's about it. This did nothing for my lashes and the smell of collagen gave me whiplash lol! I have a sensitive sense of smell so every time I opened this mascara I catch a whiff of it, and I end up sniffing it like crazy trying to figure out what it smells like lol. My own fault I guess :P
As for the performance of this mascara on my lashes, it made them un-curl, pin straight and clumpy! My lashes didn't get any type of volume that I was expecting from the name, just clump clump clump! After my horrible experience with this mascara, I vowed to myself to stay far away from collagen type mascaras. It's lucky it gets one lippie cuz the wand was maneuverable, but if I can give it 0 lippie that would be my actual rating for it :P Another miss for me with Maybelline.
