I actually have mixed feelings about this product. My dermatologist told me that pressed powders clog your pores more than liquid foundation ever could and is even more difficult to get out (something that I've noticed after using this).
I love that it can be used during travels and everything so it's convenient for those busy days but not something I would recommend for every day use. I'm starting to notice my pores getting larger and my blackheads becoming more abundant. Something I have NEVER had a problem with before I started using this pressed powder.

This is probably one of the best pressed powders I've come across. I do like the matte look, but it's difficult to achieve in a humid climate without everything caking up and/or melting off your face. This does the job very satisfactorily. It sets foundation nicely, evens out coverage, and doesn't look too thick or powdery. It does still tend to look cakey and gets creases by the end of the day, but freshening it up every now and then prevents that. Overall, it looks very nice and works even in a humid climate. The packaging is awful, as they insist on including a useless applicator in a weird shelf-like compartment under the powder. It's large and clunky, and likes to open up in my purse.
IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN GO TO THE DRUGSTORE RIGHT NOW AND PURCHASE THIS! I have tried everything. Powder foundations, setting sprays, mattifying primers, you name it, I've tried it (including a Milk of Magnesia face mask... yuck). Once I've had my makeup on for more that four hours it usually is still in place, but entirely in liquid form, no matter what the substance started as. I picked this up because of MissGlamorazzi on youtube seemed to like it a lot. I'm not the biggest fan of her's but she does have very oily skin so if she was so devoted to it, I figured it was worth the $7 shot. I am so glad I found this product. It keeps my makeup on all day and I don't look like an oil slick. I am not lying when I say this is the very first product I've found to accomplish that.
When you first apply the powder, don't be discouraged. I use an elf kabuki brush and always find it looks a little heavy at first. Once you wear it for a bit it seems to adjust to the oils in your face without letting them get out of control. It doesn't look matte (which looks fake, let's be honest) but it just lets your skin look naturally and a little luminescent rather than oily. I do have to re-apply after about 6 hours or so, but I can live with that. My T-Zone is Deepwater Horizon status so 6 hours for me is a miracle.

I LOVE this product. I have repurchased it 5+ times already. It has light to medium coverage and does an excellent job controlling my oily skin for most of the day. All I do is apply this and a bit of concealer on my acne/scars and I am set.

I love this powder. It was the first one I ad ever purchased, hearing it was good and it was matte. When I first put it on it looks very nice. Throughout the day I find my oil is reduced and I don't look as greasy as usual. It keeps my foundation put. On my more 'natural' days I take a flat top brush and use it to even out my skin tone. It has great coverage. I always carry it with me incase i need a touch up which is rare for me. It is so handy for travel with the compartment with the powder thing and mirror. But one tip is keep the used side up, not on the mirror because it can dirty it

I typically loathe powders because I just hate that look that powders give (you know, that powdery, cakey, unnaturally matte look). But now that it's 80 degrees, my face is getting oily, and my dewy foundation is only contributing to the oil and shine. So I really have no choice but use a powder.
After reading really good reviews about Dream Matte Powder, I decided to get this in Beige.
Beige is a too light for my NC30-35 skintone but it's doable. I read somewhere that Honey, the next darkest shade, looks orange, so I'm scared to try it. I wish that Maybelline would come up with more shades because it's only available in four shades: Cream (Light 30), Sand (Medium 40), Beige (Medium 50), and Honey (Medium 60).
It's true that this is a mattifying powder, so it really controls the oil and prevents shininess. I try to be careful applying this because like I mentioned above, I really don't like that powdery, unnaturally matte look.
This powder keeps my face oil-free for a few hours before I have to reapply, which isn't so bad, but it doesn't withstand any of my dance practices. Now that I think about it, I don't think any powder can.
Anyway, I don't like the packaging. The mirror swivels out from the bottom, and on top of the mirror is a suede powder puff. It's an interesting idea and I guess it makes it more hygenic, but it's not really convenient, and it looks very cheap (like almost all Maybelline packaging).
Like others have mentioned, the puff isn't hygenic, but honestly, I don't really care. When I'm in a rush, convenience is my top priority. Undoubtedly, it's not as great with buffing and blending as my MAC 129 brush, but whatever--the puff still gets the job done and I haven't broken out with neither the puff nor the powder.
With either application method (puff vs. brush), I still get light-to-medium coverage, which is really good coverage for a powder in my opinion. It covered enough to even out my skintone.
I believe that this powder can be used as a powder foundation for those of you who don't need much coverage, but it's mainly used as a setting powder. I use this as a setting powder over my liquid foundation.
For only $8, it's well worth it.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

NOt the oil control wunderkind that it is for everyone else here, but it does a decent job of mattifying my face after I apply my bb cream and provides enough coverage that blotting and then touching up through the day looks seamless. I appreciate how blurring the effect is, and I like the shades offered. It is sheer enough that you can get away with a shade or two darker to color correct for a tan or anything, really. I will likely repurchase due to the fact that it blends so easily, but I do wish they would revamp the packaging to lose the puff (since no one uses it anyways) and make it less bulky!
I am so glad I listened to the good reviews on here!
I replaced pretty much all of my makeup in the past two months or so because I have been suffering from mysterious acne, after previously having perfect skin. The first thing I tried was Mac studio fix powder, which was a miracle because I never had powder that actually matched my NW15 skin, but I hit the pan in only three weeks of using it. I seriously do not have the money for that.
So I read about this powder and ordered it. I don't need touch up throughout the entire day. It makes my skin look amazing, and it's so cheap. I think this might be my everyday HG. It also doesn't oxidize, which is another thing that I have never experienced with a drugstore powder. I had previously thought that I either had to live my life being orange, or spend all of my money on HE powders.
The only real problem that I have with this product is that the color choices are so limited, so the color isn't a perfect match. It's not a huge difference, maybe a shade or two darker. It's probably not that big of a deal, because chances are I am going to get a little sun over the summer.

Not a big fan. The powder doesn't stay long on my skin and it feels really heavy. Plus, the lightest shade made me look orange :/
I absolutely love this product! I have very complex skin. I'm oily everywhere on my face, but I get dry flakies around my nose and sometimes around my chin. You would think it would be impossible to have oily skin AND dry flakes, though I exfoliate daily. Anyways, I tried this a while back before I started having these flaky problems and loved it. However, my makeup ADD kicked in and I wanted to try something else. I tried a couple of different loose powders, and wasn't thrilled with any of them. If anything, on top of my liquid foundation, they made the dry flakes more prominent. Well I went to walmart the other day, seen this and decided to repurchase it (I used up all of first one I bought), and totally rediscovered my love for it. It helps keep my face from being shiny AND doesn't emphasize my dry flakies! I don't believe I'll be switching back to anyd over powder. This is my HG! Will definitely buy this item again when i run out!
