Horrible, total gimmick. It has no pigmentation. It disappeared on my skin. A tinted moisturizer would cover more than this. I understand that it's supposed to be HD but it's like only applying a greasy moisturizer to your face. Makes you look shiny, does not even out skin tone because it's sooo little pigmented. Waste of money. Makeup Forever'S HD foundation is much better, but still not great. I use that one on top of my foundation in a much darker shade than my skintone to create contrast.

I went into my local Sephora hoping to snag a bottle of Illamasqua's Rich Foundation and unfortunately they didn't carry the line :( I was somewhat upset, but was on the hunt for my HG foundation so I had asked the SA for any other suggestions. Let me start off by saying she had hooorrrrrible customer service and very rudely handed me to over to another rude SA who "specializes" in Smashbox cosmetics. But anyways, the "smashbox-expert" chose the shade L-3(I'm a mac NC35 & Mufe #123) and it was a decent match. btw: I could see the "oil" like substance seperated from the foundation it self and she didn't even bother shaking the foundation up before applying it onto my face! All in all, it actually was pretty flawless looking w/ the photolight primer underneath. I was quite pleased with that one side of my face (she had tried a Smashbox powder foundation on the other which so emphasized my dry-ish skin!) But I wasn't so impressed to by a full bottle and had the lady set me up with a rather stingy sample. The next day I had tried it on, and oh my goodness! I did not know what I was doing wrong!! The foundation was extremely slick-feeling and my face was extremely shiny (& i have dry skin!). I went to school hoping it was just my room lighting and that eventually it would've dried up some.. WRONG! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOUNDATION AT ALL!!!

This foundation is too sheer. It promised as a buildable foundation, but it didn't work for me. I got the light L1, look really yellow when I first put on my face, but after I applied the powder, it looks very even. However, I don't think it gives me the nature coverage. I have somewhat oily skin, I didn't get any shine through out the day. For $38 a bottle, I wouldn't buy it again.

I love how well this blends, and that it doesn't sink into my pores or emphasize dry flakes. But here's what kills it for me: Coverage! There's none whatsoever! You have to really layer it on just to get even medium coverage from this foundation. Sure, I can see using this if I'm having a good skin day. But when I have several blemishes to cover (like right now), I need at least a medium coverage.
I picked this up at www.smashbox.com for $38 in L3

I absolutley LOVE the durable slender plastic pump packaging! This is about as far as the love goes... Though they say it's oil free, it felt a wee bit oilier than my Maybelline Instant Age rewind Foundation. After about 10 minutes and a light blot with a tissue, it was fine. I did have a light oil breakthrough by the afternoon. It was nothing too bad, but I did touch up with a bit of powder. The color was ok. I probably could have gone a shade lighter. For reference, I'm a NC30 in MAC/120 in MUFE HD. I didn't feel any firming benefits.
I've had this for about 2 months now and have used this maybe 5 times. I look at the pretty little bottle everyday, but find myself reaching for another foundation. The foundation is good, it is not HG level. May not be repurchasing this.
All I have to say is love, love, love!! You can build up the coverage and it lasts all day with a primer.
THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE TESTER KIT THINGIE...CAN'T FIND THE REVIEW FOR IT!
i love this stuff. i've tried almost every foundation possible...from loreal to dior...spent hundreds probably thousands of dollars trying to search for the one foundation that agrees with my stubborn skin. little background...i suffered a terrible case of acne from ages 14-16..i went on accutane, it cleared me up, but dried my skin out SO much. every foundation i used made me look really cakey. dry, and almost lizard-like. i could never find the right product for my skin! everything either dried me out or broke me out. it was a nightmare. finally, i decided to give this brand a try, buying it with little hope and low expectations. boy, i'm so glad i tried this! i LOVE LOVE LOVE it! my skin is now really soft and smooth so i don't really need foundation and powder, but i still wear this every day because it makes my skin look so nice. people always tell me how great my skin looks, even if i have a pimple or two. it doesn't break me out so it probably won't break you out either, considering i have the worlds most sensitive skin. the powder is talc free so it doesn't dry you out. it really does moisturize and hydrate your skin which i never thought was possible for a powder. the foundation is extremely glowy and pretty and not cakey. please buy this!
I'm really surprised by the low ratings of this foundation. I received a sample and L2 is a perfect match for me. I love this! I may have to purchase a full size. It has excellent coverage and finish to it. It doesn't sink it to my pores at all and doesn't oxidize. Very pretty, natural finish.
I had high hope for this product but it didnt work for me It just made my skin look cakey and thick shame But the package is beautful and the brush is amazing that come with it would not buy the makeup again:~( disappointed
I have searched high and low for a new foundation during the winter. I was really feeling discouraged. I went to sephora to return my Diorskin and the SA said I should try this foundation. It's lovely. I apply it to my skin in sections with my Crown brush C219 deluxe buffer. If I want more coverage I let it dry and apply more. My skin looks really natural and smooth. I can tell you that I haven't had these results from a foundation in years.
UPDATE: I really loved this foundation the first week but...it became really oily on my face at the end of day:(
