I couldn't even use this long enough to see if it would help or not...after one day of using it my face was flaking! It is so very drying, even though its cream...it's tingly, so I was excited thinking it might help with my pimples, but I couldnt afford to keep reapplying moisturizer allll day long, I need something a little less harsh

I've been struggling with acne for a long time, but I had it mostly under control. Until I hit a major stressful time and broke out like none other. So after a few weeks using my usual cleanser with no results, I was on the hunt for a new cleanser. My mom and my sister had a lot of luck with this. I'd used it once or twice when I was home for the weekend, and hated the way it burned, but I figured it would at least clear up my acne. Nope. My acne stayed the same the whole time I used it. And my skin looked awful! So dull and dry. I would have lived with that if it worked on my acne, but since it didn't, I stopped using it. My acne is still around but at least my skin looks normal.

This works, it's no miracle product but I like it for my basic acne regimen. I wash my face first with a cleanser that removes my makeup and greasiness bc the clean and clear does not really remove everything well. I use it more as a medication than a cleanser bc I put it on after the first cleanser and rub it in for about 30 seconds then rinse. It won't work overnight, but I find that it keeps my acne somewhat at bay (better than other cleansers I've tried,) with continuous use. I bought it after trying the Advantage Acne Kit which had a cleanser in it that is identical to this stuff. So you dont need to rebuy the kit when you run out of cleanser, just buy this stuff. Will buy again.

So this is the best cleanser/treatment of acne I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot of them. But I need to be clear about you really should have oily skin or else it would probably cause flakage (if that's a word). My derm prescribed it along with some antibiotics, but this feels great on the skin during and after you use it.
The first time you use it, it might seem really strong and sting a little, but it gets better, so don't discontinue use unless there are other problems. My acne, which consisted of tiny white heads and some larger pimples, disappeared within a week to a week and a half and my skin glows now! People have definitely noticed because sometimes they awkwardly stare, trying to figure out whats different.
I have so much more confidence!
So, I would definitely recommend it if you have oily skin and acne issues. You bet I'm buying this again and again and again! Also very cheap!

I used this for a while. Good cleanser but not amazing. I like trying new ones everytime so I would not buy again.

Alrite, so i've only used this a few times when my frend slept over, but i really did like the tingly feeling it left on my skin... like it was opening everything up. And i didnt remeber having any break outs or redness the morning after or anything due to it, so i think i will go out tomoroe and buy it. I really do hope (and believe me when i say im putting ALL my faith) in this cleanser, because i have tried a thousanddddd different things, only to realize im allergic to salyic acid and makes my acne prone skin break out horribly, however b.p dusnt do damage.. only a bit of flakiness- wth, ill deal with it for clear skin. I'll update!
EDIT!!! Okay, im only going on for about the fourth day of using this cleanser(in a cream form, 5% B.P) morning and nite and i LOVE IT! i agree with the person 2 comments above that it really works for everything INCLUDING those nastyyyass whiterheads and i've struggled forever. Im exremmleeyy happy. HG and i will buy over, and over and over =)

I actually quite liked this product. around my early stages of acne i started using this. i liked the tingly feeling while i cleansed, although i didn't get a dramatic acne clear up, i still felt as if my skin was justttttt right. the oil on my face was normal and it cleared up a few minor blemishes. the redness sort of increased but it wasn't overly bad. i won't buy again but i do recommend acne sufferers to try this product.

I bought this for my boyfriend after reading some of the rave reviews for this and I'm so glad I did. For reference, my boyfriend gets large, irritated bumps around his chin and cheek areas. Everything either breaks him out or dries up his skin. It also makes him self-conscoius when he's talking to people because he thinks it is the first thing people notice about him. He loved the tingly sensation of this cleanser and after a week of using the product, his face cleared up dramatically. He couldn't believe how effective it worked. Plus, it doesn't dry up his skin and makes shaving so much more easier on his face. Thanks for those who reviewed this.

I'm not exactly sure where I stand on this product. I tried it initially because of the high BP content--I assumed it would be effective. I was hesitant to buy, though, because two major ingredients are mineral oil and petrolatum. I assume these are in there to offset the drying action of the BP, but that much petroleum in a facial care product can't be good (I like to buy natural products if possible).

Despite that, I have used the better part of the package and it seems to work. I have noticeably fewer blemishes. I don't love the feel of the product during washing, though. My face tingled, but did not feel clean after using it... I could feel the petroleum. Also, the product is very harsh on eyes... my eyelids are red from coming into contact with it just through rinsing (no, I didn't use it directly on the eyes). And, as others experienced, using the product has ruined several towels, shirts, and my bath mat. The high concentration of BP really does a number on dyed fabrics.

I probably won't buy this again, simply because I don't want to ruin more shirts and I am uncomfortable washing my face with mineral oil... there has to be something better out there.

So after reading reviews on this site (which I now find are for the foaming version, not the cream) I figured I'd go pick some up since I noticed a few break outs. After the first night of washing, my skin looked and felt great. So I was all excited. The next morning I wondered why my towel was bleached. After washing my face with it a few more times, I began to get disappointed. Too drying, bleaches my towels, it is kind of minty too. I don't know. I'm going to keep it around and use it once a week or so, maybe, like a reviewer suggested. I have since switched to an Aveeno wash for acne, and my skin thanks me.
