Absolutely perfect!
I bought it and both me and my mum fell in love with it!
Although I'm not that brave to wear bright lips this is a must-have.
It's a dark red, very chic and lasts almost all day, I ate pizza and it was still intact!
The only thing is the smell, it's funny reminds me of the whitening teeth thing from the dentist.

Its a BEAUTIFUL bright red (blue-based) lipstick which is capable of raising ur x-factor all by its own. whats so good abt it is u can wear it as a stain (by putting on a little bit on ur lips and then rubbing it in with ur fingers) or u can use it as the full-on gorgeous red lipstick that it is. its a matte lipstick but once u get used to the texture u wudn't mind that because the colour pay off is grand! it stays on all day and survives meals too (which is saying something for me!). Its my HG red lipstick now and i think its a classic bright red that would suit most people- I've seen it on pale as well as tanned skin- i have tanned (NC40) skin and it is so seductive. cant praise it enough!

a little bit dry but stays on with minor touch up throughout the day, bold and noticeable but not necessarily in a bad way

This lipstick looks really good in all the pictures I've seen here of various people wearing it. I bought it a while ago and I can say it was nearly hideous on me. It was really fluorescently bright and I like bright lipstick, but it really clashed with my skin. It had the quality of a color one would use for a road sign, on me. A MAC MA later claimed that anyone could wear it, even when I told her I couldn't. I really like red lipstick and other MAC reds look good on me (ie., Russian Red gloss and the matte Retro). For reference NARS Jungle Red looks good on me. My skin tone is between NC15 and 20 but my skin has an unusual amount of gold and some pink, according to people like my hairdresser who has much more sense about skin tone than I do. I have cool blonde hair with different colors of lowlights from time to time. I still gave this product a 4 because I think it is obviously a good product. I took it back, but still believed it was worth a try.

Best red lipstick ever! It's my HG for red lip colour. It is a little drying but that's what chapstick is for! :) I feel like it's versatile because I feel like I can wear it matte or add a little Clear gloss to make it more creme. A little pricey but whenever I wear it I feel great and beautiful ;) So it's worth it and I will be repurchising.

This is my favorite red lipstick. I really want to have a nice red lipstick. After browsing the review on nice red lipstick, my choice squared into Russian Red and Ruby Woo. Someday I've run into the Mac Store at The Bay. I've tried both of the lipstick and hooked up instantly with the Ruby Woo. It's a perfect color for me. Not too light or dark, just red and longlasting. I've found Russian Red is just too glossy and light for me. The lipstick is drying, so I always use lipbalm beforehand. I also use lip brush to use the lipstick.

I love both Ruby Woo and Russian Red, but on days when my lips feel dry I would use Russian Red, it is not as drying as Ruby Woo. Don't get me wrong, Ruby Woo is my favorite of the two. The finish of Russian Red is not as matte or velvety and the staying power is not as great as Ruby Woo, but the color payoff is almost identical. Ruby Woo is a definite winner for me if I had to choose. I have NC20 skin and they both show us as true red as lipstick goes. Both blue based, and beautiful. I use MAC "Redd" lip liner and it is a perfect red, matte match. With every day use this lipstick will last me well over 3 months, so the price is worth it. I love Ruby Woo and no store-brand lipstick comes close, even if they call it "matte".

There is nothing special about the color, which is a bright cherry red, that justifies having to deal with the terrible texture of this lipstick. You can find this color in many other formulas that are almost as long-lasting while feeling much nicer on the lips. Ruby Woo feels heavy and dry on the lips and putting lipbalm under it affects the wear. If you don't care that much about the lasting power, you might as well try another formula. It is, however, rather cheap compared to HE brands. One use I got out of my tube was mixing it with my Film Noir (a dark brown in the MAC Satin formula that is not very long-lasting and is just a little too extreme for me, even though I love dark lipsticks). What I got from the mix (I melted the two together in a small pot, about equal parts Ruby Woo and Film Noir) is a beautiful maroon/burgundy red that is totally wearable for me and has a good lasting power. So if you don't like your tube of Ruby Woo that much, try mixing it with other colors to make them redder or darker and to extend the wear.

I have mixed feelings about this lipstick. It is a pretty color. However, it's looks like a dark pink on me (especially in photos). I don't mind matte lipstick, but it was so dry that it was hard to apply. I ended up returning this because I was looking for a red lipstick, not a dark pink.

I just purchased Ruby Woo and I LOVE it, I paired it with crimson lipliner also from MAC and it looks super sexy! It makes my teeth look really white! It is a little drying but sometimes there is a price to pay for beauty
