I am so dissapointing with this product. Neutrogena is usualy a great product. Unfortunately, this product is useless. The only thing it does is dry out your skin. The blemish has no effect at all. And it claims to make a diference in 8 hours, yeah right. Clean and Clear has much better products.

This product saved my sensitive, break-out prone skin. About two years ago, my dermatologist recommended that I use a sulfur-based product to help control my mild acne because we thought benzoyl peroxide was too much for my sensitive skin. I used the sulfur product and it did help clear up my acne. However, I started to notice that my skin was not reacting the way that it had when I first used this product. It was almost like my skin got used to it and it lost its effectiveness. I decided to give the benzoyl peroxide another try and this time tried the Neutrogena's 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream. It was just enough of the medication to keep my acne in control, but it was gentle enough on my sensitive skin that I could use it every day. I put a generous layer of this lotion on my face every night and use it as a spot treatment during the day if needed. Thankfully, Neutrogena makes a 2.5% cream. In the past I used the 10% and it was too much.

I absolutely love this product! I only very occasionally get pimples, but when I do, this is (so far) the only product I've found that effectively kills the pimple and doesn't leave me with a red patch of peeling dry skin next to it. It's very gentle and effective. I just bought my 2nd tube, after having the first one for 5 years! Will definitely repurchase.

I love love love this product. If I notice any whiteheads before I go to sleep at night, I just dab some of this product on and go to sleep with it and by the next morning all of the redness and swelling of the pimple is just gone. I never really get blackheads so I don't know if it works on those, but for my whiteheads at least, it works. The only reason I gave this 4 lippies instead of 5 is because it does leave the area I applied it to a little dry sometimes, but I'm willing to deal with a little dryness in exchange for losing a pimple.

i have been using this for a while because i thought my skin needed it, but i now realize it doesnt do much for me. it doesnt prevent breakouts but when i have them it dries them out a little bit...doesnt really help them to heal though. i think im going to stop using it because its just unnecessary dryness. i think my skin just became immune to benzoyl peroxide

This stuff works well for me. I have dry skin and have found that the 2.5% concentration doesn't make my skin peel or itch the way stronger stuff does. I always use a moisturizing sunblock after using benzoyl peroxide and it seems to do the trick. This is the most lightweight acne spot treatment cream that I have encountered, so it gets props on that account. I still have periodic breakouts so I'm going to keep looking, but I'll continue to buy this until something better comes along.

This is horrible. It actually made me break out more. I was using it for spot treatment and then I started getting more breakouts and once I stopped using it the trouble spots where I applied it cleared up considerably. Also, this stuff will bleach your wash cloth, pillowcase, or anything that it rubs against. I only used a small part of the tube and will be throwing away the rest.

I don't break out that much, but when I do, this is the product that I use. It's strong enough to treat the acne without drying my skin up or leaving dry spots :)

I had a huge breakout on my normal routine, and in my desperation, picked up a tube of this. I had used this when I was younger, but hadn't needed it for a while. The first time I applied it, it burned so bad I couldn't sleep that night. When I tried to wash it off, it reacted with the water or the cleanser and hurt even more :( But it did dry out my pimples. after a few uses, my skin got used to it and didn't get so irritated, but I find tea tree oil on the pimple works just as well with less irritation - it just smells funky. This is also a bad idea if you sleep on your side, since it bleaches fabric. My face is healing now, so I won't be using this for a while.

I've suffered with "adult" acne for 2-3 years now. I was using 10% BP and my face was drying out. i heard that using 2.5% is just as effective as 10% si I picked this up. This stuff really works and doesn't dry out my skin. No more massive breakouts. Only an occasional one here and there. This stuff saved my skin. I only apply it to where I normally break out, around my mouth/cheeck area and chin. Then I use a good moisturizer or aloe vera gel and that takes care of any dryness. This is giving my old acne marks a chance to fade without new ones popping up. Great stuff.
