I am not a fan. The tip of the brush is all spiky like some sort of medieval weaponry and the formula is gross. It's gummy and sort of pulls at the lashes...leaves those nasty little balls on the tips and tangles them together. I'm glad I didn't pay for this...I got it as my Sephora Beauty Insider birthday gift. I would not recommend it and would never purchase it for myself.
Eye lashes are longer. Best mascara I've used.
I got this from sephora as the birthday gift. It went on fine and was ok on my lashes. It did darken them and make them more noticable but not in any amazing way. I wasn't happy with how it itched and flaked near the end of the day. Also I feel that it was impossible to get completely off even with makeup remover and coconut oil. I would still take a shower and have raccon eyes. would not buy this.
I got this sample size at Sephora in Dec for my b-day, i was so excited cause of the all the great reviews, ITs good, has some good color , its very black, it makes them longer, not much thicker and i find it quite messy, it always gets on some part of my eye above or below, the eyelid, how?? I dont know, its a good mascara, i might buy a full version, but for now i am glad i got a sample ..
I look for the consistency as a main factor of mascara; is it too thick which results to clumpy lashes which is a no, no! Too thin which just makes no impact, what so ever! Or is it just right, to the point that I make it my one and only mascara for life? One other factor I look for is the brush. The brush is what makes or breaks the mascara for me; if it is thin and has small bristles on the head, then it isn't going to make an impact on your lashes. If it is chunky, it may make too much of an impact meaning too much product is being placed on the lashes, which results to a 'clumpy' look. However, if the brush has a nice curve to it it will add even application every time.
They're Real mascara brush has just that. The brush is fairly chunky, but the bottom and top of it reduce in size which gives that curve you want to look for. Next time you go shopping for that perfect mascara, check out the Testers available - if you can't find one, ask a Beauty Advisor. They find any way of getting what it is you need or want, because at the end of the day they are trying to make a sale. So don't be shy! You won't be forced into buying anything there and then. Simply say, 'No'.
Benefit have advertised this mascara as the 'UK's No.1 Selling Mascara', which is adds a high standard to the product to live up to. The in-store promotion signs I have seen dotted around lately also have a before and after picture of a model's lashes when testing the product. The difference was incredible, but with Photoshop being used on an everyday basis lately, who knows what is real or not?! I must say though, after using the product once, with only two strokes, my lashes looked just like the after picture on the signs! It really does make a difference! From time to time I have put layer on layer of mascara on my lashes to plump them up, but this just threw that technique right out of the window!
The price again is pretty steep, which is why I would not be buying it if lost or run out. I have been trialing another sample version as it is the best way to test whether the product is right for you or not.
I have naturally very long lashes.
*this stuff makes it look like I put on false eyelashes because my eyelashes look so long.
*nice formula, no clumping
*it is my go to for date night and special occasions
*this stuff is a beast to get off my lashes. Really difficult to remove,
*takes a bit of effort to make it look good. Just too time consuming for daily use. After I apply this I usually need to use an eyelash comb, unless I apply it slowly and precisely.
Definitely one of the best mascaras I've tried.
I have relatively thin lashes and this mascara separates each and every lash well and volumizes them perfectly! Although some may not like the unique brush type, I like it a lot because it separates even the outermost lashes and coats them evenly, making me look like I have a million lashes. No eyeliner necessary, even for a night out.
However, every seemingly fantastic mascara does come with a few cons. The product runs out way too fast, and only lasts about three months for me. The price is also pretty steep at $23, and not everyone would be willing to pay that much for a mascara that doesn't last a substantial amount of time. I'm really hoping to find a drugstore equivalent to this so I wont have to burn a hole in my pocket to make my lashes pretty!
This mascara is actually worth the hype. I have normal lashes, I have length and some volume. Sorry this wouldn't be helpful if you have short lashes. :( I do the 'wiggle, blink' technique whenever I apply any mascara and this one just does the charm, it gives me more length and volume. So i think this would do some work for short lashes? The price ($23!) could be friendlier, but what can you do. I still prefer drugstore mascaras thou :) eh only con is there is absolutely no waterproof formula, I prefer waterproof just in case I burst into tears one day.
Overall this would be great if you don't care for waterproof or even the price. Worth a try!
Not a fan. The results are decent (your lashes become quite dark and thick) however, I found it a little clumpy and very difficult to remove. I felt like it also made my lashes more brittle.
The wand is also quite scratchy.
-I liked the brush style
-Too pricey for the minimal results
-Some people may not like the the brush style
-Lots of fallout
-Difficult to wash off
I made my purchase at Ulta, this mascara costs $20. When I first used this mascara I liked it very much, I was even thinking about buying some back ups. Some mascaras are not a true black, but this was very dark. One thing I liked was that the brush grabbed all of my lashes easily, even the outer lashes that can be difficult to get. My lashes naturally have more length than volume, and this mascara added a nice amount of volume. The first time I used it I did notice fallout within maybe 3-4 hours, which I thought was due to the fact that I was outside in the heat a lot that day. This mascara is clumpy, so you have to brush your lashes out after every use, which is a pain. At the end of the day when you go to take this off it won't budge, it takes a decent amount of time to completely remove this mascara all the way. There are too many cons for the price, I will not be repurchasing this.
