I'm going to go against the crowd here and say I don't really care for this palette at all. I wanted to like it, but I don't. Wish I had used the money I spent on some Mac colors instead.

I am a brunette with green eyes, medium/fair skin with golden/pink tones. I bought this palette after reading so many rave reviews about it, and also after seeing a tutorial on youtube that showed a very simple, pretty look using half baked on the lid, smog in the outer v, and virgin on the brow. I tried this look as well as a couple of others I found via youtube tutorials and the end result was a ton of glitter all over my face, no matter how I tried to pat the colors on or blow off the excess from the brush before applying. Also ended up with a very bland, dirty look on my eyes. The colors are flat and dusty. On me anyway.

I think they would work better on someone with really golden, warm tones in their skin. And someone in their 20's with flawless skin and no dark circles or anything else that comes with aging. For me, I looked like I was tired, older and had dirty eyes after applying these colors.

One reviewer said that if people are complaining that the colors look muddy, that they are using them incorrectly and using too many at one time. I only used three colors on my eyes, neutral golden brown tones, and I still felt my eyes looked dirty-ish.

The worst offender of all is sidecar. That color is a mess to work with.

By the way, I did use the primer that comes with it. Also did a look without primer to see if that helped. Still not impressed.

I really wanted to love this but I much prefer Too Faced Natural Eyes to this. Some of the colors in that palette are similar to this one but when applied, they have much more dimension to them and really seem to add that something special we all search for in make-up colors.

The packaging is nice however. I like the mirror and the brush that comes with it.

Sorry Urban Decay lovers. I am sad I wasted my money on this palette.

Honestly what can I say about this product that hasn't already been said? It's a cult favourite for a reason. This palette is amazing, and I reach for either this or the Naked 2 everyday. Urban Decay shadows apply and blend like a dream! I feel like this palette will last me forever, but if for some reason I do ever run out I would repurchase in a heartbeat.

I've been using this palette since last Christmas (present for myself). Great palette, actually the one I reach out for the most.

Pros:

1. Good value, after a year of using a couple of times a week I have yet to hit the pan in either one of the eyeshadows.

2. Fantastic color selection. I use all of the shadows in this palette, some more, some less, but not one proved itself useless.

3. Pigmentation is incredible. Application is a breeze. All shadows blend nicely.

4. With primer and setting spray these eyeshadows last all day, from early morn well into late afternoon, without fading/smudging.

5. The case, even though made of cardboard, is sturdy and pretty.

6. Comes with an eye primer sample of great quality. I have since purchased the fill-size primer.

**********

Cons:

1. The plush that covers the case is annoying as hell. It catches every speck of dust and lint, and starts looking dirty very fast. I'm scared of giving it a good cleaning, as it's cardboard - not very tough and certainly not waterproof.

2. The brush that comes with this palette is useless in terms of applying eyeshadow.

I like this palette very much, but I'm still not sure if I would repurchase. There are so many good quality shadows to choose from nowadays!

I love this palette! The colors are so pretty and have extremely good pigmentation! The only downside is that sometimes they have a little bit of fallout. It's totally worth the money!!

I received this as a birthday gift and absolutely love it. I did wish there were more light colors in it, but UD figured it out with naked 2 and now with basics. I now have all 3 and do not regret the money spent at all. Each and very color is gorgeous.

I was a little late to the party when buying this product and now that I have it I just wanted to add to the praises being sung for the Naked Palette. I'm fair with dark eyes and light brown hair, and I found that the colors in the original palette suit me better than in the Naked 2. I love all the looks I can get with everything I could need at my finger tips. I'm not adventurous and prefer more neutral colors so I appreciate the color selection in it. The price is a little much to swallow when I initially looked at it, BUT when you actually think about how much you are getting for the amount, it is actually a really good deal. The only thing I don't like about the palette is the outside of the case, the velvety texture is just a magnetic for every bit of dust there might be (and I do clean all the time!) I just can't seem to keep the case clean. I will definitely be buying this again after mine runs out, but I can't foresee that happening for a long time.

Wow... this is gorgeous! I was trying so hard not to buy into the hype but this truly lives up to its fame. There's twelve colours and I actually wear all of them, which is pretty surprising. It's like finding a CD (yeah I know, I'm getting old) that only has great songs on it that you actually like to play.

It's very versatile, I can do a lovely smoky eye with this, both heavy or more subtle, but a few of the colours actually look amazing on their own, al over the lid, for work or a relaxed weekend look.

Glides on nice and smooth with the primer and brush that come with it, so no issues there either. Absolutely love it. Pricy, but I will never need another eyeshadow again, it's got all the colours that I would ever use.

This is such an amazing palette! I love all of the colors, and almost all of them are perfect for everyday. The look I do almost everyday is half baked on the lid, buck on the crease, smog on the outer half of the crease, darkhorse on the outer corner, and either sin or virgin to highlight. Also, this palette is an amazing value for your money because it comes out to being less that $5 per shadow and they are all full sized shadows.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!! I am in love with the naked pallete and evrytime i think of betraying it and getting the naked 2 and convince myself not too. This has the most amazing colors perfect for any makeup starter kit! It is definetely pricey but definitely worth it. I constantly get compliment when i wear smog on the lid it really makes brown eyes pop!! Definitely a must have. Alot of people complain about the packaging because it picks up dust easily but i love the velvety packaging!!
